For those that go yearly, how many days do you think are enough for your vacation?

We do twice a year 3 nights each time. We feel like we never left so we just pick up where we left off. If we miss out on something, we'll be back soon enough.

WE used to go at least once a year and found that 7 nights was not enough, so we usually stay 9 nights. The best lengt for me was 11 nights, during the Christmas season. It gave us enought time to enjoy all of the shows and attractions, and still have time to relax. My husband would never last that long though, so when he comes we stay 8 days. This trip in August will be 7 nights and I think it will not be enough time, but we cannot stretch it out dur to school and a wedding.

We have only been 3 times
4 nights
7 nights (planned for 5 but a deal came out)
5 nights

Our next trip will be 8 nights

Now, we can't go every year, but we still found our 4 and 5 night trips to be magical. We never had park hoppers.
What's the alternative? Wait until next year? Choose cheaper accommodations (off site)? Go into debt?

5 nights 5 park days normally, with Park hopper so we can play it by ear a little. But, I have been thinking that after this years trip we may do a longer stay. We might even do a resort only day, or a trip to Universal for Harry Potter. I do worry about boarding the cats for longer than a week tho.

Strictly speaking financially, 5 nights is "enough" for us and we go once a year. Our longest was 8 and I would love to do something like 10 one day.

We drive down there, leave on a Friday, stay overnight somewhere in between, and so we end up with 7 nights in WDW. That's just perfect for us. One time we flew down so we did 10 days and it actually felt too long. I never thought I'd say that, but I was looking forward to going home.

We are also thinking about driving. It should take us about 22 hours. Have you driven before?

Just wanted to say we drove down and back for our trip last month. It was about 18 hours. We drove 12 hours the first day, stayed in a hotel and then drove the remaining 6 six the next day. I LOVED it (but I also hate flying) and would definitely do it again!

We've averaged a trip a year since 1999, one or 2 were 4 and 5 days, most 8 park days and one of 11. Eight or Nine seems best. Our 11 day trip was split, first 9 at BoardWalk the last 2 a POFQ. When we were being driven to POFQ we decided that we wouldn't be sad if we were going to MCO instead. We enjoyed the last 2 day but we'd had our fill. Last Oct we did 9 days at BW and that's what we're doing this year, it seems to be the perfect number.

We NEVER do a resort day. Always say we want to but then when the time comes we feel like we are wasting a day at the pool which is something we can do anytime in the summer near us. That being said, we would love to make this trip a more relaxing trip than usual. It's going to be hot, really hot in September plus rain breaks and having been there 5 years in a row, we don't need to see everything this time around.
We are going to try for a fast pass to see Ana and Elsa but not sticking around in line for the other princesses since we will see them at two of our character meals.
How many mickey autographs do we need also!!
So I'm thinking we might just keep our 7 night/8day, take it slow but keep the park hopper and get rid of the waterpark and quest tickets. That will save us $150.
We were going to do BBB for her but she hates getting her hair done anyway so I will just put some glitter on her face and let her wear her costumes everyday at the parks and save money there.
We have the dining plan but I wrote our plan out and we would have to pay for an extra meal so we will just use a quick service that day and save another $100.

Just can't see shorting it to 4 or 5 nights. MAYBE 6 nights but still not sure yet.

Our first trip in 2005 we went for five nights. Before we arrived I kept asking the DW what are we possibly going to do at an amusement park for 5 straight days  . Of course I fell in love with the place that year and ever since we have stayed for 10 nights, 11 days annually. There have been a couple mini trips in between to drop DS and DD off for Disney College program, but outside of that it has been 10 nights every summer.

Depending on time of year and school/work schedules, we like to do trips now that last 8-10 days. But we really try to be closer to 10 than 8 when possible.

9 days coming up in March!!

Now I know most will say they would love at wdw if they could but realistically, how many days do you think are enough for your family to feel they had a fulfilling vacation?
We go every year usually staying 7 nights 8 days and might do a 4 night 5 day to save money and a bit nervous about it.
We don't need to go to Hollywood studios. We usually only go for 2 or 3 rides and then leave.
Normal routine is 1 day animal kingdom and split rest between Epcot and mk. We normally do a park hopper but thinking about base tickets which might hurt even more than the 2 day cut.

I think we would be okay with a week one year and 4 nights the next.

After 3 trips last year (over 20 days) and a Disney Cruise this year, we have skip 2016 altogether.

I prefer a little longer trip even going yearly. If I'm going through all the planning and getting on a plane (I hate flying) it has to be long enough to be worthwhile to me. This trip we are doing 9 nights with 8 park days. I think 8 days in the parks is probably about my minimum. It was already painful to skip parks on both arrival and departure day this year but I'm trying to make those days a little more relaxed. Mostly for DH's sake as he's a bit of an unwilling participant in this trips anymore.

We, my wife and I, go every year in February to get away from the Michigan winters. We arrive early, around noon so that we can enjoy a full day on the first day and we leave, usually after 8 PM to enjoy another full day in the parks. That gives us seven days and by that time we agree it is time to go home. Unfortunately, we start missing the fun when we wake up the next morning which is when we usually start planning the next trip. I'll be down there in 2 days. Can't wait.

We go every summer and typically do 8 nights, but have done as many as 15. 8 is the norm though, still feel sad when it's over.

I'd always say more is better..Honestly I know 5 days is better than nothing but I don't think I'd be able to do it & enjoy myself. I'd constantly be counting the days till we leave..

I've done from 7 to 11.... Each with different friends and family, and all were great... To fully submerse yourselves and not feel rushed, it's always best to have a few down days(Resort only) to refuel, and not feel so burned out. This can be accomplished with an 8 night or 9 night, but I really enjoyed this with our 11 night vaca.

Plus if you decide to drive, like you stated before, 5 days after such a looong drive will come n go so fast...

Only you know your budget, but if possible<i'd say 7 nights minimum..:thumbsup2

We do 10 nights annually, but our upcoming trip April is only 7 nights because we have a new baby and aren't quite sure how he'll travel. We are nervous about having such a "short" trip.

Next year, I'm sure we will go back to 10 nights. Perfect amount of time to do everything we want without rushing around.
