For those that are in Florida now...

It's been rather dry. We had a decent round of thunderstorms today around 5:30pm (downtown Orlando) and it's just about over now. It's been INCREDIBLY hot though.

It really does differ. Last week:

Tuesday - heavy thunderstorms about 6 pm to 11 pm
Wednesday - one heavy storm about 2-3, more rain later in the evening
Thursday - no rain
Friday - One heavy thunderstorm about 4:30

No pattern at all. But most of the showers have been very light where I am (St Cloud - 25 miles east).

Just back and no rain June 13-16 or the morning of the 17th before we left. We were surprised, as we usually have those afternoon showers this time of year.

We arrived Monday and there wasn't any rain until tonight. Actually, I'm not even sure I saw rain, but there was some lightning around the MK and they closed our pool down at BLT because of it around 7.

Down here in South Florida we've had a couple of really nice but very hot days.It hasn't rained much in the last 3-4 days and even during the first half of the usually very wet June even though it has rained most days somewhere in the metro area its been pretty dry for June.I remember thinking back on other years where its rained every day in June.It seems so far we just haven't had that many days that were total rainouts in the area,a lot of isolated and sporadic storms in one area with it sunny and dry 10 miles away.

No rain here in South Florida. It is brutally hot. I'm in Boca Raton, close to Fort Lauderdale.

We've been here since Monday and it hasn't rained at all! It looked like it was going to today, but no rain. However it has been SO HOT!!!!! Like, miserable hot. But still fun because, it's still Disney :)

Ditto on the miserably hot weather report! The heat with the humidity is too much for this so cal girl! I saw the lightening tonight, but never saw any rain. No rain yet this week, been here since Monday.

Yep, we were there last week. Beginning of the week was pretty typical afternoon downpour, but towards the end and the weekend it was BRUTAL! Bad enough I paid the $18.95 for the misting spray fan. With my frogg togg.

We've been here since Saturday and not a drop of rain. It threatened at HS this evening and could see the dark clouds and a bit of lightening towards the MK, but that's it. I almost wish it would rain , it has been miserably hot. Taking our afternoon breaks was a must all week. I can't imagine being out in this at 3-4 in the afternoon!

Kinda glad to hear it's been dry. But not looking forward to the heat, lol. Mornings and evenings only it will be!

Rain isn't always a bad thing...it does help cool it down a lot, and it rarely lasts very long. Pack a poncho, and enjoy the (slightly) reduced crowds in the parks.

We live less than 5 miles from Disney property in Dr. Phillips and it's been strangely dry so far this week. It did rain yesterday evening say around 6:30 or so but it was only for 20 or 30 minutes. Usually in the summer the showers come between 3:00 & 6:00, though like I said. Not a lot of rain this week. I'm sure we'll make up for it at some point.

It has been very, very hot and above average heat for this time of year. Heat index has reached into the 100's most days. Our car temperature deal yesterday was 103 at it's hottest. It's 9:18 am here right now and it's 92 degrees. Our predicted highs (no heat index) for this week are 98, 95, 95, 97 & 97 for the next five days.

Florida showers are so localized it's strange at times. I've seen it raining at the Studios and not at EPCOT. It can be raining in down town Orlando and bright & sunny at Disney World.

Oh my word.... 92 at 9:18?!! And here I was hoping at least from maybe 9-11 we'd have a chance of having lower temps...

95 right now at 5pm (the feels like says 106)! Super HOT outside. Its dark and has been thundering for about an hour but no rain yet. It has been 60% chance of rain off and on all week but nothing here except a 15 minute rain around 1:00 today. (we are in Celebration next to Disney).

Yea once the sun is up its hot. Whether it's the early morning like 8am or late at night like 9pm, it's hot and normally in the 80's (feels warmer with humidity). I'm about 2 hours south of Disney, but like today, it doesn't drop below 80 degrees until midnight tonight

Generally prepare for brief showers in the afternoon. Most of the time it's showers that last about 10-20 min around 4pm.

But there's really no pattern and it could be raining at HS and not raining at MK. It's normally not widespread rain
