For Those Staying Off Site

A friend of mine is staying off site at one of those resorts across from Downtown Disney. The hotel has a shuttle, but I was wondering a few things.
1. Would be able to use the Downtown Disney bus to get back and forth?
2. Would they be able to watch movies on the beach at Contemporary?
3. Would they be able to see the Electrical Water Pageant from the beach at the Poly?


The last time I stayed off site was the first time I went with my family when I was 10 and that was nearly 30 years ago. A lot has changed and my last 10visits to the world have all been on site.

1. Doubt it. Are they staying at one of the hotels in the Downtown Disney area (like within the gates)? There are buses that run from those hotels to the parks.
2. I don't see why not, just drive to the Contemporary and tell the guard they plan to eat and explore the resort.
3. Same, but I believe the viewing space is smaller now that there is the DVC construction.

1. The downtown disney busses only go to and from resorts, not to the parks. So if they wanted to do number 2 or 3 on your list, sure. They could also take the bus to say the beach club or boardwalk hotel, and walk to epcot form there, or take the boat to studios, or other resort transportation.

With all the construction going on at the Polynesian, I would not pick that as my place to watch the parade, I would stick with the Contemporary.
