For those of you who used the Baggalini...

at WDW. How was it? I was going to buy a Vera Bradley backpack for our trip, but I had to look at the Baggalini after reading about it here. I loved my Vera Bradley backpack I took last year, but it didn't have any inside pockets. The new style does however and also has some outside pockets. Does the Baggalini have to be slipped on and off over the head or does the strap have a buckle to undo it? Also, does it get hot? The first thing I thought of when I saw the model wearing it was that it would make the center of the chest too hot where the strap crosses. With it being nylon, that seems like it would be an issue both in front and back. Appreciate any input!

I believe I have both bags you're talking about - my VB backpack is the old style too and not the newest one.

The Baggelini bag is nice but for a nylon bag it is heavier than I would have thought. It is the buckle on it (if memory serves) that makes it so heavy. I did carry it for one of my WDW trips last May and I don't remember it being hot or making me hot. It fits me best across the chest and I slipped it over my head to get it on and off.

One of our local luggage stores in the mall carries Baggalini bags so perhaps look around and try to find it locally and see what you think. I've not carried mine again after that trip - for some reason the weight on the buckle really annoyed me! It does hold a lot though. The VB backpack might be a better choice depending on how much you think you'd use it after your trip - I like VB bags and they have some great new colors out!

Thanks. I think I've decided on the VB backpack. Although it's more than twice as expensive I know I will use it a lot more after our Disney trip. And I love it in the new citrus color. It's so bright. We're getting ready to hit the malls today with DD18 and DD3 to buy VB bags and Crocs! DD17 says Crocs might be cute on DD3, but I would just embarrass myself if I wore them. I don't care. I can't decide on the color so I might just have to get a couple of pairs.
