how much did you pay for fights? I have to leave on a sat and retun on a sat or sunday due to my husbands job has a deseginted time off. The prices so far are out of controll! I need help I can not pay 250 per person I do not want to drive due to the limited time I have. help

We fly out of ROC and usually fly Airtran, our only non-stop flight and lowest fares.

I think Southwest still flies out of Albany. That might be another option.

I was in charge of booking 17 of my family members for our Disney Thanksgiving Wonder Cruise 2006

Some left the Sunday before Thanksgiving, some left Monday & the final left Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

Most flew out of EWR & some of us flew out of LGA. We all had a direct non stop flights, & the cheapest I could find (believe I hunted & then some) was $200.00 non stop.

For this time of year (one of the busiest time to travel) the price was a steal. I saw our flights go up to as high as $700.00

If you can do it (and it appears you probably cannot but..) fly out ON Thanksgiving Day -- the airports are very quiet and the flights are much less than the days following. We always fly on the holiday rather than before or after.
