For those of you who have to fly to get to WDW...

Every other year since DS was 2, now DS16 & DS13.
Fly our of NJ/NY for $200ish RT.

We're just south of Boston, and we fly down 3-4 times a year. We have flown on Southwest exclusively since about 2004, and we've paid anywhere from $100 - 179 RT from either Providence or Manchester, NH. We have booked flights that were more, but we've been lucky with fares coming down, or Ding fares that we've avoided paying much more. While we haven't seen the $49 one way fares in a while, we did pay $59 one way last February. We're also flexible with our schedules especially while our son is still young, so we can adjust our plans for cheaper airfare.

We drove down once when we were young and frugal :rotfl: but we decided we wouldn't do that again. We drove straight down from Wareham, MA, stopping for gas and bathroom breaks, and then we stopped at a rest area in Georgia when we couldn't drive anymore. The trip, with stops, was about 25 hours, but we were totally out of it that first day.

That's why I refuse to drive the 1500 mile trip...you'd be sooo burnt out the day you got there. Heck we do a 650 mile trip out to Deadwood in one day from home and when we get there we're usually wiped from the 10 hour car drive. Didn't want that to happen at WDW and it was way cheaper to fly and only 3 hours vs a couple days :) Plus I don't want to worry about our car breaking down or getting into an accident and ruining our trip...flying took a lot of stress off my planning.
