For those of you who have dined at 2 or more Signature Restaurants

We dined at Jiko and Yachtsman on our recent trip and LOVED both of them. Wonderful food, great service, lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend both!

Let's see I've eaten at Jiko, CG, and Brown Derby of what they consider signature. All 3 are wonderful, but if I could only do one in a trip, it would be Jiko hands down.

I thought Fulton's was awesome, their steaks & the crab claws are to die for !! The crab cakes are mouth watering, just thinking about it makes me feel like I've gained 5 lbs.

Oh, Lordy, Lordy my, my, my my, I almost can't wait until our next trip
Nov. 06. :Pinkbounc

we've been to Flying Fish, Coral Reef, V & A, Artist Point, Fultons, Brown Derby...... We did enjoy Coral Reef, Artist Point and Fultons the best. --Fultons is the one MUST DO!!!

Jiko is my favorite, but I also really enjoy the Yachtsman steakhouse.

The past 4 nights we have eaten at:
PALIO
FLYING FISH
YACHTSMAN STEAKHOUSE
JIKO

All are very different from each other.

Palio is excellent Italian but I had an amazing filet the other night which was to die for. Excellent wine and as usual, fun & entertainment from our favorite server Michaele, he's great with dd. I think this place is a hidden gem.

FF is excellent for their mussels, salmon, salads, risotto and martinis! Sit at the open kitchen if you can. You may just get to sample some of their finest fare. Service is always excellent. Very relaxing but fun atmosphere.

YSH is very good. We ate here last night for the first time in a long time and were pleased although it was very busy and somewhat noisey. Food was very good as was the service. The lobster bisque was excellent.

JIKO excellent as usual. We were there tonight for dinner. Very unique atmosphere although a little dark, but still cozy. Service was excellent as was the food. The cucumber, tomatoe and onion salad is quite unique. I tried the salmon here for he first time and it didn't disappoint. I forgot to ask the server why they no longer have the monkfish (I just realized that, darn) as that was a very unique dish I never had until we ate here about a year or 2 ago for the first time.

All of the above places are excellent and very different from each other. They are ALL child friendly, casual yet classy...but you can dress in your finest or put on a pair of jeans and you'll still feel very "in place".

California Grill used to be our favorite, but our party of six two weeks ago all agreed that Flying Fish was the best of all of them, hands down, and this was after not being impressed with FF four years ago.

Only have dined at two signaturer, Jiko and Flying Fish. Jiko was head and shoulders above Flying Fish.

Did both the last trip and would say exactly the opposite. I didn't like Jiko, bad service (I'm sure our experience was an exception) and I didn't like my food (but I may have just ordered poorly), but Flying Fish was one of the best meals and best service I've had in recent memory.

Narcoosee's used to be a favorite, but slipped last time on both service and food.

My husband has been to Artist Point and enjoyed it and wants to go back.

I've only been to Fulton's, Jiko's and C.G. Fulton's was fun and the food was fine, but we have places with similar quality seafood here so I'd probably not waste a night at Disney on it. Jiko's was very nice, the food was great, the service was great, the setting is beautiful and I'd happily go there again. However, C.G. won hands down. A large part of that is that sushi is my favorite food, and their's was very good, but also the fact that we could watch the fireworks without the crowds in the park (I hate crowds!) Also we had a salad there that was absolutely delicious! It was really simple -- hearts of romaine with Green Goddess dressing, but for some reason I really loved it.

If/when we go back we'll definitely skip Fultons, and probably skip Jiko's just because there are so many other signature restaurants we'd like to try. But C.G. will be on our "must do" list.

edited because I forgot Fulton's.

Over the past three trips, DW and I have dined at Brown Derby, Artist Point, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Narcoossee's, Flying Fish and Jiko. If I had to choose (a very hard choice) I'd probably have to give the nod to Artist Point, by only a whisker over Jiko. The salmon alone makes the trip very worthwhile. At Jiko, we sat at the Cooking Place and the entire experience was wonderful. Try the pan roasted tilefish. It is melt in your mouth delicious. In addition, both of these restayrants have beautiful decor.

Yachtsman was also in the mix... we had Thomas, who is the best server on property (in our opinion) and his recommendations were top-notch.

Flying Fish was good, but a bit of a letdown, and I was not a huge fan of Narcoossee's. The mussels were good, but it was noisy and the service was not what I've come to expect.

Just my $0.02

We've dined at Jiko, CG, AP, and YS. I liked them in that order. Jiko I felt was the best combination of great food and good atmosphere (dine late--it's quieter), CG also had excellent food but seemed to be more noisy (but who can argue with the great view of the castle and fireworks, if you can get it?), AP had great food but I didn't like the atmosphere as much (I know it's a matter of personal opinion--I tend to like the darker, cozier restaurants), and YS...well, I don't eat beef, so maybe that was part of the problem!!! Would I dine at any of them again? Absolutely! But Jiko and CG will be on our to-do list. We'd also like to try Flying Fish next time.

My DH and I have been to most of the signature restaurants, I think. At Epcot, Coral Reef and Le Cellier. Brown Derby at MGM. California Grill, Citricos, Flying Fish, Jiko, Artist Point at the resorts. Fultons and Portobello at Downtown Disney (are those considered signature? Not sure).

Of these, my favorite is California Grill. We have had many special meals there. Jiko is a very close second.

My DS is only 4 now and getting better at lasting through a full course dinner without the need for diversions. So our criteria for signature dining WITH DS in the past couple of years includes not being in a quiet location or just avoiding signature dining all together. However, what we have experienced for what its worth:

Epcot

Bistro de Paris - almost 6 years ago, but it was one of the most memorable with very good service. It might have helped that DW speaks fluent french.

Les Chefs de France - two years ago - also great experience with wonderful ambience and food.

Coral Reef - also almost 6 years ago - We had a table for two next to the tank. Contrary to many reviews, we had excellent dishes.

Resorts

Palio - Up until our recent dining experience here, Portobello Yacht Club was our favorite Italian themed restaurant. The sauces were marvelous, the ambience wonderful. Excellent experience.

Victoria & Albert - Interesting that some posts say that this is not a signature restaurant. Disney's website lists it as a Disney Signature Dining location yet defines Fultons and Portobello as Special and Unique Dining. We celebrated our anniversary at V&A and were absolutely floored by the service and experience of the full course dining with the wine pairing. Worth every penny.

I've been to Shula's in Miami Lakes, but not up at the Dolphin. It's a fabulous steakhouse on par with a Ruth's Christ.

As many times as we have stayed at CR and AKL, we've never dined at CG or Jiko's, but it seems that I need to give CG a try. Looking thru the smoked glass, Jiko's looked too subdued for a 4 yo, especially with the perfect setting of Boma's right there.

I loved CG and HBD...those two are must-do for our family.
I detested Fulton's (is it signature? It oughtn't be.). Service was very slow, food cold and not worth waiting for.
Will be trying Jiko for the 1st time this time around...really looking forward to it!

I think we may have to try Jiko after reading all your posts! :wizard:

My husband loves the Yachtsman for their steaks while I love La Cellier for their cheese soup, pretzel bread, mushroom filet and maple cream bruele.

When I wondered if V&A was called a signature restaurant, I just meant if that was how WDW was categorizing it. It is a superb dining experience and no other restaurant at WDW comes close. But the term signature for WDW's restaurants is fairly new...maybe a year and a half or two? And for the popular dining plan which requires two credits for "Signature" restaurants, I don't think V&A is even an option. :confused3

Interesting that the WDW website lists it that way. I wonder if that leads to confusion?

Perhaps it should be the only signature restaurant and all the others we're discussing should be called......

fine dining ?? :confused3

Update...tried Jiko. No surprise, I loved it! Wood-fired pork tenderloin, appetizer was the lamb patis and lentil pastilla, absolutely wonderful wine selection. Beef lovers had the filet mignon, DD had the chicken. Not a bad meal in the house!

We've dined at several and Citricos completely blew us away. Well, the filet blew us away. It put the YSH filet to shame =) The service, food, and atmosphere was excellent - it truly was a fine dining exp.

We have a few more to try but that one was great!
