For those of you who arrive early, please help!

Hi..
I need to order my tickets and can not decide if I should go with 5 day or 6 day and was wondering if you were to arrive in Disney at 11:15am, and then we would probably getto resort at 12:45pm at the latest, and we have dinner reservations at 7:15 for hoop dee doo , should we get tickets for the day of arrival, or would we be crazy to attempt entering a park at 1pm. Maybe just chill by the pool or go to down town disney? Opinions, thoughts Please!

It depends on what time of year you go I guess...we have always gone to the parks on arrival day but we usually go in off season....we've always been able to get alot done. Not sure if I helped you or not

we usually spend the first day at DTD then go have dinner at one of the resorts.We have thought about going to a park but don t want to feel rushed.We can easly spend the better part of a day in DTD.

When we go our plan lands at 12:30PM ... as soon as we check in (or drop off bags if room not available) we are heading to MGM and have a PS at 4PM (trying to change to later time). We plan to stay until closing to see Fantasmic. I don't see if you are arriving around noon hour why not go to a park. If we arrived at a later time I would have just chilled.

I do'nt know where hoop dee do is, but if you think you have park time go for it. The price difference ina a 5 to 6 days is what? $1 each?

I would go to Magic Kingdom, bringing the clothes I plan on wearing to dinner (backback or wear them), and then just take the boat over to the campground for your dinner..you can change in the really nice bathrooms, right next to the Hoop Dee Doo if you need to. Then take the boat back afterwards, and take either the monorail to your car or bus back to your resort. It actually is an easy way to get to the Hoop Dee Doo.

I would go with the 6 day ticket. With the new pricing it is only a few dollars and it gives you the option of going that day if you want to.

I think a lot of the strategy of not going to the parks on the first day was based on not wanting to blow a whole days admission. If it cost over $100 for a family of 4 to got I would have to think about it but if it is only $4 for the extra day then you should get it just in case the kids want to zip over for a few hours.

Pedler is spot on....there is hardly any difference in price between those two options...get the 6 day.

Get the extra day. We're doing this, too-- we have a late arrival and early departure, and the 9-day is only $6 more than the 7-day, so we only spend $3 apiece for each of the half days.

I just checked... the adult advance purchase price for the 5 day w/ hopper is $235.37, and the 6 day is $236.43. Even if you don't use the extra day, you've only wasted $4 for 4 tickets.

DMRick is right on. Getting to Hoop Dee Doo via MK boat is by far the easiest route. You will probably want 1 1/2 days at MK anyway, so it's worth heading over to see what you can get done. If you can make it before the 3:00 parade, try one or two of the tough rides (maybe Splash and BTMRR) while the parade is going on, as the lines may shrink. If lines are long, just use FP as best you can, and get some of the less popular rides taken care of so you can concentrate on the E-rides on your full day.

Another option would be Epcot Future World, as that tends to lighten up in the afternoon after World Showcase opens up. Won't be as easy to get to HDD, though.

If i had some self control I wouldn't bother with going to a park that day. Instead I would unpack, releax by the pool, explore the resort. Then I would probably get to Ft. Wilderness early and explore there a bit.

But.. when it comes to WDW I have little or no self control.
