? for those of you that use 2peas....

Hello - I have recently(about 2 months) started lurking over at the 2 peas message board - I get some wonderful information over there -

My question is - there have been some really hostile posts over there (makes me appreciate DIS that much more!) Does 2peas have moderators like the DIS? Can't they "kill" some of these threads? I just can't believe how people "talk" to each other on the message board!

Hi Karen,

I too lurk over at 2Peas and feel the same way. Some of those threads get downright hostile! To be honest, I'm afraid to post anything

I know that there is someone that can pull threads when they get bad, but I'm not sure what they consider "bad".

I just read some the other day too and people were getting mad that their posts were being removed! So they must pull them but I wonder how bad it gets before they get pulled?...


Some people are just silly some are just down right mean...that's why I like the Dis...I've always considered "safe"....

the 2 peas board doesn't have moderators, I think only geek pea can pull posts. I think that is why is takes awhile sometimes for posts to get pulled. They pull posts for different reasons, rudeness, links to other sites that sell scrapbook stuff, talking about posts that have been pulled will also get that post pulled.... (sometimes it's just silly what they pull). Lately there has been a lot of ugliness, especially about the rusty pickle alphabet stamp set. It kind of goes in cycles... maggie

Even when you know there are hostile posts, people keep posting to the thread - It just adds fuel to the fire!

But I do learn a lot over there and I do enjoy most of the posters there - I just wasn't sure how their boards worked -

I think mabye they should get moderators - They would probably get attacked at first, but it would be worth it in the end - I am not talking censorship - I am talking about when you attack someone's character - I just feel that is flat out wrong -

I also think, that sometimes, there are just those people that post to see if they can get a "rise" out of everyone -

I've been on Two Peas since 2001. Every now and again they get those threads that aren't so nice. I tend to skip over them. There are far more nicer threads than there are mean threads.

Two Peas can get down right snitty at times, we used to have a great swap board there that was really really busy and the whole board got yanked because of too many problem people, really sad! Thats why I like DIS, it's fun and overall the people here are really great!

While I consider myself a "pea" and post regularly on the NSBR board, lately I find myself posting less and less. Sure you can skip over posts, but sometimes even the titles are antagonistic (sp?).

Diane - I agree with you - Sometimes I do not even want to open the titles -

I think there are some immature posters there - But I guess as with any large group of posters, you'll get that - And there is no way to "ban" these posters because they can just sign up again under another name!
