I just read this on the Passporter Web Site: Shipment Update -- After long a delay due to shipping issues and landslides in California, the new 2005 editions of Walt Disney World are almost here. The 40-foot container full of books has arrived in Detroit and now only have to be trucked to our warehouse. We are expecting them to arrive this week. If all goes well we'll finally start shipping books to folks early next week (Feb. 14-18). For those who have yet to pre-order, we encourage you to go ahead and place your pre-order -- we're still the fastest way to get a copy of PassPorter 2005. Thanks for your understanding and patience!

God - I can't wait for it!!! I want to start writing all of my reservations in it!!!

Thanks for the Update!!!

I'm hoping that mine arrives before I leave on February 23rd.

I called the Passporter Office and upgraded my shipping to Global Priority (3 - 5 days). Just hoping it gets here on time!!!!

I signed up for all ears newsletters, but don't see where to get the discount on passporter. Is it a coupon that only comes out periodically?

I found the link from allearsnet, thanks a bunch! I almost ordered at regular price, before finding this info!

Arrggh, but the link I found is to AMazon.com, which states that it'll ship in 1 to 2 mos. THAT won't work for my trip next month, lol

Am I missing something?

Hi Taximomfor4,

I just pm'd you.

My DH ordered the Passporter November 2. It was to be a Christmas gift. It still hasn't arrived and he's a bit....well, let's say, unhappy.

I have been waiting and waiting for ours too. I emailed last week and was told they would be shipped out this past week but so far according to my account it has not been shipped out yet. :sad2: But I knowI will get it before we go in May. I feel bad for the folks who ordered it and now will not have it for their trip.

Our trip isn't until June but I can't wait to get mine too. I hope they come this week. :teeth:

Pre-orders begin shipping Friday, February 18 and continue through the following week. New orders will ship after pre-orders have gone out, generally within one week of ordering. If you are leaving on your vacation soon, please indicate your exact departure date with your order and we'll do our best to get your order to you in time. Thanks for your patience during the delays.

Woo hoo - looking forward to my copy! :cool1:

I am so looking forward to getting this. Once I have this I think I will have all my planning based covered. I think I will have all the major planning books that I need. What can I say I like to be prepared. LOL.

I saw the 2004 Passporter in a Barnes and Noble last week and spent a good 30 minutes thumbing through it. Awesome book, and I am glad I waited to order a 2005 version. I am taking my DD11 and my DD16 to WDW for our long-awaited first trip. I planned a trip in 1999 that was torpedoed by my divorce. Growing up in southern California I am a veteran of many Disneyland visits (my dad never saw the value in flying across country to see Mickey when he could load the family station wagon for a 20 minute drive to Anaheim) and, as my posting name implies, I worked in the Pieces of Eight shop in New Orleans Square during college summers. I look forward to all the great information this board provides!

PS- Maybe that nice Carol lady will dog-sit my westie and scottie in October? (Hey, I can dream, right?) :flower:

Hi ExPirateShopGirl,

If you could get your furry friends to my house in Ontario, Canada I'm sure my westie "MacKenzie" (who just happened to have her first birthday yesterday) would love the company!!! ;)

Enjoy your Passporter, I'm looking forward to getting mine upon arrival at ASMo on Thursday :cheer2:

B-T-W....My westie is going on vacation to "Nana & Grandpa's house" while DD(24) DS(13) and me (?) are in WDW.

Happy Birthday, MacKenzie! Linus and Coconut (a.k.a. the Scottish Terrorists) would love a new friend to the north!

I am still trying to get the hang of this board. In fact, this is my second attempt to reply to your post. If it duplicates, just roll your eyes and know it's because I'm INEPT!!! :confused3 I've had my fat fanny glued to my cumputer chair for a day now as I start making all my reservations with the tips I have learned on these great sites.

Enjoy WDW!!!

Hi ExPirateShopGirl,

I neglected to say "WELCOME TO THE DIS BOARDS"!!! :wave2:

You WILL become addicted to these boards...... it's a given and it won't be as difficult after a few posts, so that you won't feel like :badpc:

B-T-W, I love the "Scottish Terrorists" slogan. :rotfl:
I definately know where you are coming from with that one.

Half the fun is the planning of your trip and with the arrival of your Passporter you will find that you will fine tune the schedule with their recommendations and tips.

Do you have your ressies done for WDW yet? or are you working on the transportation aspect of your vacation?

As soon as you have an idea of the days you will be in WDW you should be ready at the 90day window to make P.S's for restaurants that you want to eat at.

Planning,Planning, Planning...makes for a GREAT trip.

Now I have to get back to last minute laundry and packing for mine......

Take Care,

I bought airline tickets in November. One, I got a great deal and two, I knew if I bought the tickets then I would finally stop saying 'next year we'll go!'

I had reservations at Shades of Green, but when I saw some actual photogrpahs of the resort on a fellow's website yesterday, all those years of 'industrial' military facilities came back to haunt me. I don't care how inepxensive it is, it looked dreadfully bleak to be in the middle of WDW. Then again, that's what the military does best. BLEAK! :earboy2:

I booked a poolside room at the Hotel Royal Plaza in the meanwhile with a great discount I saw on Mousesavers. I am going to keep searching for an incredibly cheap fare at a deluxe disney resort on the off chance I find one, but I will be perfectly happy to spend the saved cash on all those fun extras like surf lessons and dinners at pricier resorts.

The Magic Express Service sounds great, but rental cars are so easy now that for the price of a shuttle, we can get a car for the week and also hit up Universal and Emeril's (okay, this is the selfish ME thing I want to do in Orlando - BAM!)

In any case, I am having a ball planning it and I look forward to the passporter! :cool1:

Have a GREAT vacation!!!

Thanks ExPirateShopGirl (AKA Suzie)

I have been planning my trip since August 2004 and I can hardly believe that it will soon be here :Pinkbounc

I have never been to the Shades Of Green property :confused3 , but I don't blame you looking at the Deluxe's. I am considering going again later this year (solo) and have been thinking about purchasing an AP because of the room discounts that sometimes become available at the Deluxe's.

I love going to AKL and WL whenever I go down (just for the day, have never stayed at either)

The Hotel Royal Plaza is great for Downtown Disney and they have the busses to the parks from there also.

We (me, DD and DS) are thinking about trying the Surrey Bikes when we go this time. Have watched people use them when we have been down on previous trips, but have never tried it ourselves

I have heard that you can do the Surf Lessons at Typhoon Lagoon :thewave:

I have got PS's for O'Hanas, Boma, Hollywood & Vine (Fantastic Dinner Package) and Biergarten, Epcot. We may also try to get to Chef Mickey's, Whispering Canyon Cafe (which was great fun the last time we went) and Trails End Buffet :cool1:

We found the cheapest rental car was through EZRental Car and have made reservations with them. I think you are wise in doing the rental car, as I think that the Magic Express may not be so "Express" with having to deliver many people to the different resorts on WDW property.
Also, it gives you a lot more freedom.

We enjoyed Universal's IOA last year and my DS is asking if we can go back this year, but I really don't know if we will have the time (or $) for it. :sad2:

Thanks again for you good wishes :flower3: , it will be nice to get away from the snow!!!!! :cold:
