Ok, now that it's out there more I'll say a few more bits on this one.
I still stand by my statement earlier to not miss this if you're cruising soon.
As to the violence, it was all with rayguns (which I was going to say look like toys, but they are toys if you have been to a
Disney Store lately

) or other preposterous things that the kids do know are not real. Lots of Looney Tunes kind of stuff. Don't be concerned over it. A small spoiler, the 'blue punch buggy' in the commercials is being used by Stitch to defend himself from another alien that's not in the commercial.
SPOILER! READ NO FURTHER if you havn't seen it yet!!
Think of Stitch as a child, an undisiplined child with superpowers. A lot of the indicators are there, he says a 'bad word' to the Ruling Council. When you ask him something he reacts badly. a very immature child at the beginning. But his survival is on the line, so after hanging around with Lilo, he begins to learn a lot of good behaviors from Lilo and Nani and has to overcome his original design of being destructive. Yes it has some really sad points such as when Lilo is being taken away by Bubbles, but it has to to really balance out the movie with goals and some real life lessons.
