and who purchased the travel insurance, check your flight fares for the next few months. We are traveling in August, bought $99 there and $139 back tickets. Its down to $59 both ways! I called and they are rebooking me right now and I saved $535!!! :woohoo::dance3::banana::cool1::cheer2:

They just started flying out of my area in the last few months. Their stated prices are phenomenal, but they charge a lot of fees that add up to make it no better than Southwest in most cases. They also don't fly as convenient a schedule as I'd like, but I think they'll probably alleviate that at some point. But it's nice to have a direct flight to Orlando so much closer to where I actually live now!

Just to note, they gave us a credit for Allegiant only for the amount, not a refund to our credit card. We then used the credit to book our rental car, so now we don't have to come up with that money out of pocket. Not sure what to do with the last $149 credit, but I'm sure we'll come up with something...

I've heard many different things about Southwest, good and bad. We don't have it as an option as we fly from the Madison, WI area. We did fly to Cancun last April thru Allegiant and it was a nice airline, easy to deal with at the airport.

With the $149 credit we rebooked our 2 night pre-Disney Orlando hotel stay we had. Yay! Airfare credit went from just airfare to airfare, car and hotel room :banana: Yay!

Congrats! I haven't flown allegiant yet but they do have it here now so may be soon! Heck we have a $29 flight to Tampa on the 16th! Wouldn't I just love to hop on & go? But, so I understand right, you have to buy their trip insurance to basically price protect your flight? How much is the trip insurance? And, from I understand, you can eliminate $13.50 per ticket (in our area at least) by driving up to the airport and purchasing the tickets in person as opposed to an online purchase.

Yes, its $75. We bought it as we were having thoughts of date changing and DH's mom is sick, so in case we have to make a last minute cancellation. Unfortunately the airport is about an hour away from here, so we booked online instead of driving down. For 5 tickets we paid a total of 67.50 for a convenience fee. That must be 13.50 a ticket I'm assuming.
