For the Teachers ~ Gift ?

My dd goes to a preschool and the 3 teachers that she has had this past year have had a profound impact on her. I wanted to give them something special to show my gratitude and I was thinking about giving each an italian charm bracelet each with a couple of charms.

As a teacher, would you like this gift? I am just at my wits end trying to figure out how to show them that they are all appreciated.

Yes calling all teachers....what do you REALLY like in a Christmas gift from your students?? I think that I'll call the handwritten cards and letters a given, let's skip straight to the actual gift. What do you like best, the worst???

The charm bracelet is a wonderful, generous idea. I'm sure the teachers would be thrilled to get something like that. Another idea would be gift cards or certificates to places like:

Starbucks (if they drink coffee, of course)
Target
Office Depot/Staples
Educational Supply Stores in the area
Restaurants in the area close to where the teacher lives
Bookstores (i.e., Barnes and Noble, Borders)
Amazon.com
Bath and Body Works (I keep a bottle of BBW's anti-bacterial lotion on my desk, which would also be a great gift if you wanted to get something instead of a GC)

What Munchkinsmom said!!! I'd love a charm bracelet ... or let alone a charm or two for the one I have.

You can never go wrong w/gift cards, that's for sure! Also, I love to get video rental certificates or movie passes! At the end of last school year, the homeroom mom knew we were going to WDW, so she took up a collection and gave me Disney Dollars to use on the trip! Now THAT was a great gift!!!

Please -- no mugs. The ONLY exception to this is if your child made it at one of those "paint the ceramics" stores. I also don't mind hand-made ornaments that my students make for me. Those come right from the heart!!!!

Ditto what munchkinsmom said. All of those ideas are great teacher gift ideas.
