Not sure if its been posted but Continental has r/t out of EWR for 118 pls tx/ for lots of dates. Was able to book "jersey" week at our preferred dates and times thus allowing the kids to only miss 2 days of school for 1 week vacation. Lowest I have seen on CO in a long time.

I just checked Continental's site, and could not come up with a R/T fare lower than $400.

What dates were you flying? I was checking 11/3 to 11/10. Also tried +/- a day on both ends (just to check, as we already have our ressies for 11/3 to 11/10).

I was waiting for Jetblue out of Newark or SouthWest out of Philly to open up November.

I am also waiting for JetBlue out of Newark. I have never flown Southwest out of Philly. How is that? Maybe I should consider that if JetBlue's fares are really high. When should Southwest release their Nov.flights?

I have never done it either, but I work in South Jersey, about 15 minutes from the Philly airport, so I am keeping it in mind (especially if Southwest is added to Disney ME for the trip home). I know a few people who live near me (Central Jersey) who fly out of Philly all the time and like it better than Newark.

Southwest just released their end of August flights, so I suspect it will be at least another month or so. Same with Jet Blue - although I check both a few times a day just in case

FWIW - I did check the fares on Cont. the week after (11/10 to 11/17) and I did get rates around $150 r/t. I hope the OP didn't book the wrong week for Jersey Week.

I also checked Travelocity, and do have r/t from Newark on Air Tran, Delta, and United for $188 r/t (taxes included) but they are all 1-stop flights, and the times aren't the best.

Our dates are November 5-12. It helps when you don't fly on the weekend. We have used SW before which is fine as is AirTran, but the drive home from the airport is about 90 minutes, not fun Newark for us is 25 minutes so we prefer that even if it means tweeking our dates.

We booked a 5 pm flight going and a 7pm flight return.

We just booked on Continental for June 4-9 (Monday to Saturday, no Saturday night stay) for $128 + tax for four of us at optimal times. Total for the four of us with taxes was $589.00. $134.00 for car rental for five days, five free nights at the Dolphin with Starwood points and already have tickets with lots of days on them. Last minute unplanned and unexpected trip because of the great fares and the chance to use free hotel nights! Top it off with the Star Wars Weekend for my 4 year old son and we are all excited.
