I have been "crippled" every other trip to WDW with blisters! I tried everything, including the anti-perspirant on the feet. My kids used to take pictures of my feet all taped and bandaged. But, on this 7-day stay - and walking in the parks 8-12 hours a day - I did not have a single blister or foot problem of any kind!
I remembered reading in an Army survival manual that wearing nylon socks inside wool socks protected the feet by "wicking" moisture from the feet and prevented friction. I found a brand of sock called "WrightSock" that works on this principal. It is double-layered but still very thin and keeps you feet dry and reduces friction. They have a website (wrightsock.com) and I bought them at REI (rei.com). I also wore some newer New Balance walking shoes that fit snuggly. Things couldn't have gone better.
Unless you've walked for days on blistered feet and toes, you cannot understand the thrill of finding a "cure" like this. Before you think I have a vested interest in this sock, I work for an insurance company and found them by searching the web.
My family got so tired of ending each day of this trip with Dad exclaiming "Look at these feet! No blisters!" - better than the alternative from the past.
I hope I can return the Moleskins, adhesive tape, powders, etc. that I also brought with me, just in case. Hope you have as good of results.
