FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FOREVER...I'm NOT GOING HOME!! UPDATE DEC.30 PG 74

I think 5 suitcases is pretty good for a move!
I LOVE Pop Century! It was always my go to resort, but the last two trips we have tried something different... The result? I miss Pop! :rotfl:
Oh! I joined your page on FB. I didn't know it was you though, it just came up on my newsfeed! I don't have a gluten allergy, but a bit of a sensitivity, so I was happy to see it come up. :)
I need to see Yeehaw Bob. I watched some videos, he looks great!
Love all the Star Wars items, an Alderaan name tag would be awesome.

You know we love Pop as much as you guys do!

I think the cost is completely justifiable! You love all things Star Wars so why not? People in my life know I can justify anything and everything :rotfl:

My BIL loved everything we brought back for him on SWW when we were there, I keep telling him one trip needs to be around that again, he would love it!

Thank you!

Pop is such a great resort! It may be a value but having stayed at most of the deluxs it's still a favorite!

Yay!! Disney is the perfect place to have an allergy  I love going there even more now that I have gone gluten free. I just really miss being able to see food pictures that I can eat which is why I started the page!

He is hilarious!

I can't wait!

Yep!

True :thumbsup2

I can't wait to finally experience it! I loved May the 4th and I know this is supposed to be even better!

Caitlin, congratulations on being accepted into the DCP. I always like seeing the college affiliation on a CM's name tag. You look like you have a great bucket list, I'm sure there will be other things to add to the list. It will be fun to read along as you share your experiences.
I just stayed at POP for a quick trip down the end of March. Our room was in the 70's section 3rd floor right near the giant Mickey phone, we loved the location. It had been a while since we stayed at the POP. I loved it just as much as the first time too! Do you have a favorite location at the POP?

I definitely will be adding to it!

We love staying in the 50's! It's very close to the main building and walking outside and seeing Lady and the Tramp let's you know you're at Disney :thumbsup2

I wanted to let you know that I was accepted into the CP which was to start in January 2014 but I had to turn it down due to personal reasons but you are never past the age to get in. I was accepted at the old age of 60 years old! My recruiter told me that they accept people of all ages and I just graduated with my Bachelors degree in Nov 2013. I am currently on a waitlist for a position for Disneyland Travel Company and waiting on a panel interview.

Oh wow!!! Thanks for the info. I never knew Disney took us "seasoned" citizens in their CP. I've been looking for an excuse to get my Masters - this might be it! :lmao: Congrats on graduating and good luck on the DTC position!

The only difficulty will be fitting all of my suitcases in the car

You'll also have extra baggage fees on the flight.

I am already packed and have 5! Hey I am moving to Disney for 8 months that's not overpacking!

You don't have to try and convince me! 8 months is a long time.
You're basically moving there, so 5 suitcases isn't over the top.

My dad has never seen Yeehaw Bob before but I know he will enjoy it!

Me neither. And we stayed at POR!

YEP!!! I am that big of a Star Wars fan that I will pay $250 to go in to the store early! Got a problem with it?

Nope. I know how much of a fan you are.

I ordered a name tag for myself that will say I am from Alderaan anyone who knows the significance will get an imaginary cookie and kudos!

Hmmm... only thing I can think of is your name. PrincessCaitlin.
Alderaan is where Princess Leia came from.

Thanks, Bill! I am waiting on the panel interview (it's been 2 weeks since my in-person interview but I have high hopes!) I hope you do pursue your Master's and apply for either the CP and/or Professional Internship programs. Good luck!

Hi Caitlin,

I just found your trip report today. The combination of being gluten free and starting the DCP soon had me interested right away. And now I find out that you like Cape May, too. It has been our favorite restaurant for at least 20 years. We never miss it. My sister and I are gluten free, too. :)

Your classes sound very interesting. We took the Keys to the Kingdom tour last month and some of the topics in your class were touched on in the tour. Just think how much more you'll learn. :)

Haha, nice shameless plug for your gluten free page. :lmao:

Man....that Rebel Rendevous is the day before we arrive!

Can't wait to meet up on the trip! I know that on the 16th we're heading to DHS after we arrive to try to meet up with Cynthia and Mary Ellen, and then to watch the fireworks that night. We can still do a Jellyrolls meet or whatever you would want. :thumbsup2

You'll also have extra baggage fees on the flight.

Nope thankfully we are flying Southwest and they allow two checked bags per person :thumbsup2

Thank you! I am trying not to over pack :rotfl:

Put seeing him on your to do list! You would get a kick out of him!

Nope. I know how much of a fan you are.
Thank you!

Yep it's Princess Leia's planet! I have always considered myself a Princess Leia type :goodvibes

Be sure to post when you find out!!!

I plan on it! I switched to Communications which offers more online classes :) I plan on doing either if I end up loving the program!

I can't wait! I am so excited to go to class!

We will be up for it! We'll solidify the time and then I'll message you my number through Facebook to make sure we're all connected.

I'll take some sexy piano player!

Sounds like a great start to your trip!!! And 5 suitcases for 8 months... Not so bad at all!

One month from today I head to Disney

That's basically how I feel all the time! I have 6 work days left at my internship and four class sessions left!! In celebration of this day let's see what the next two May trip days have in store for my family!

May Trip Day 3 &4

Friday May 16

DHS opens at 8 am and how early we get there will depend on if there is a Star Wars actor I want to meet :) I am buying the Star Wars Weekend poster and plan on getting it signed by the stars. I am really hoping the actor who plays Darth Maul is there again and the actor who plays Chewbacca shows up! I am not sure about Chewie since he signed up for the new movie and they begin filming soon. :confused3

This morning we will be meeting up with the lovely Mary Ellen (MEK) and her travel companion Cynthia (eandesmom) for a very special breakfast!

Here is Disney's description: Guests will be able to start their day with the “Star Wars Dine-In Galactic Breakfast” at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant. Inside, it’s a long time ago in a drive-in far, far away, where out-of-this-world breakfast delicacies are accompanied by thrilling movie moments from the Star Wars saga. Guests may encounter Darth Vader and other Star Wars film characters as they appear to step right off the screen to join the fun.

Yep I am eating breakfast with Darth Vader :cool2: The other characters that are supposed to be there include a Storm Trooper, Boba Fett and Greedo (the alien Han Solo shoots in the cantina). I am so excited!! Meeting Boba Fett was on my SWW to do list! I am a big fan of his although his death is pretty pathetic but since I met his dad last May I had to meet him this trip! I have a Greedo vinylmation pin on my special Star Wars lanyard so that should be fun too!

Oh not to mention I am very excited to see Mary Ellen again and having lurked on a couple of Cynthia's TR it will be great meeting her as well :thumbsup2

We will be hanging out at DHS all day checking out the special stuff that mom and dad wouldn't have seen yet!

We then have dinner at Be Our Guest!

This will be dad's first time here so I hope he enjoys it! I am hoping for a better experience than we had in November!

Afterwards I believe we have plans to meet up with Mary Ellen, Cynthia and Danielle (IheartDDuck) and her parents for Fantasmic :confused3 (chime in you two so we know exact plans :rotfl2:) I am so excited to meet you Danielle! Your Foo's Boo make up pictures inspired me to start trying out different eye make up colors :goodvibes If you read her TRs you know how funny she and her parents are so I am sure this will be a great meet!

We then will all go to Jellyrolls!!

If you read my November TR you know I love it there! I went twice on that trip and have gone on a couple past trips. I fell in love with a piano player there in November so I hope he is performing tonight!

Saturday May 17

This day we will be heading to

Dad hasn't been to Animal Kingdom in forever!! We had skipped it on a couple trips and I don't think he has been since 2009?

Today we have our main stops

Expedition Everest

Dinosaur

The safari

and the different paths! Dad's must do for today is to see Finding Nemo which he has never seen before!

We will be having lunch at Flame Tree BBQ before we head to

Epcot! Mom and dad are spending time here during my Rebel day so this will be my first time seeing the Flower and Garden Festival! I plan on trying out the different drinks and snacking around the world at the booths for dinner!

I LOVE this! I am 47 and planning to apply for the Spring 15 program. Sometimes I feel like I'm way too ancient to try such a thing - but stories like yours encourage me to follow that dream!!

Your plans are really coming together! I'm so jealous of the Star Wars breakfast and the Dis meet!
