I got a credit from airtran!!!!

I had been pricing fares for our aug cruise since april

about 2 weeks ago I finally book airtran going down--(southwest coming home due to fares and times)

the price changed at all $159 PP one way--not the best price got SW $99 coming home

anyways about 10 days the price dropped to 136--called--got credit that we can use for luggage fees

so today for fun I checked fares again only to find the price dropped to $109

called again and once again got credit so now all 3 pieces are paid for plus a small credit for next time

love these credit

now if the next 30 days go fast--fantasty here we come!!!!

Does Airtran just give you the credit if you call, or do you have to have a certain fare type?

we always book the cheapest non stop flight we can get!!!!

with that being said I just called both times when I saw the fares were lower

and I got the credit!!!

super easy and now the luggage fees are paid

I sooooooooo hope I get that lucky for our December flight. Booked Airtran for the first time, as it was the cheapest we could get out of Buffalo (by a long shot, over both Southwest and Jetblue). It was still $170 one way .

Would love to save enough to cover our baggage fees. But our flight is December 23rd.......perhaps being so close to Christmas, I will not have the same good luck as the OP.

I will be keeping my fingers crossed!

Received our credit this am. The agent I spoke with said her computer would not let us apply the credit as luggage fees only as a purchase for our next trip. Was she incorrect? Should I call back and talk to someone else? Our credit was $112.00 so would pay all our fees. Advice

when I got my first credit the agent told me when we check in at the airport

tell them I have a credit that Id like to use for the luggage fees and they will

take care of it
