What would people recommend now? I enjoy Jellyrolls, but probably only for one evening.

It's been over ten years since I was last at WDW, so are there newer things around that I should see? I just loved the environment at AC with the scripts, the improv, and the general hilarity!

I miss the Adventurer's Club so much - and the improv at the Comedy Warehouse. It's hard to replace.

We do enjoy the Yee Haw Bob show at Port Orleans - he's a lot of fun.

Go to see Yee Ha Bob at Port Orleans Riverside. I can't remember when I've had that much fun outside the parks!

Yeehaa Bob often sings songs that were staples at the club. It's not the same though.

Adventurer's Club was simply fantastic. I miss it dearly. It was a "must see" on every trip to WDW. I remember being bitterly angry at Disney for closing it. Still can't for the life of me understand that move.
Nothing since has come close to the wonderful entertainment that a night there provided.
I will keep an open mind as to whether anything yet to come fills that gap.

Didn't answer your question, though, did I? What do do in it's place. It was so unique. Sadly, we spend very, very little time in the Downtown Disney area now that it is gone.
Let's hope the new, improved DTD offers something to lure us back.:rolleyes2

Well, perhaps this just means that I will get to bed earlier on this next trip! Sad though...it was easily my favorite spot at WDW.

Adventurer's Club was very unique. Something you could not find anywhere else. I think that is why I was so upset when Disney closed it. We are in the same boat as you - trying to decide what to do at nights - we now just find ourselves hitting different bars around the resorts and aimlessly walking through the gift shops without buying anything. That's if we stay on-site. Luckily we are close enough to drive, so tend to sneak off the compound for some fun.

Ah, the Adventurer's Club. Congaloosh (sp?!). We really miss it too and don't spend our evenings anywhere but the parks now. Perhaps they can read these posts and find a new spot for the Adventurer's Club at Disney Springs!

I'm sad we never got to go to the AC. It sounds awesome!

Idk how much you're willing to spend, but have you considered Hoop Dee Doo? I've heard good things (we're going for the first time in May). Obviously La Nouba is expensive (and not the same type of entertainment as AC was), but Cirque du Soleil is amazing, and I've heard La Nouba is one of their best shows.

This is definitely a big mystery. Why in the world would Disney do away with something this beloved? I'll never understand it.

Nothing has taken its place, in our opinion. It was Wonderful!!!That and the Comedy Warehouse were the two reasons we went to DTD. And we haven't been back in years.
The Adventurers Club is missed!!!!

Simple answer, $$$$$$.

The AC was the most unique themed entertainment I've ever encountered and as such is irreplaceable. We stay at the Boardwalk regularly so we hang out there and catch the entertainment at night, nice, but no substitute.

We loved going to the AC. My favorite was the mask room. Many laughs were had those nights. I really wish they would bring it back. It would be great on the boardwalk.

I agree! The Boardwalk would be a perfect place for a new, improved AC. I never understood how they could claim they were losing money with PI. It was popular with locals as well as tourists. Hope that Disney will consider Boardwalk, or a new location in Disney Springs.

Does anyone know when Trader Sam's at the Polynesian will open? We like the one at the DL Hotel a lot and they do have some "tributes" to the AC.

I think one of the main reasons they closed the clubs was because it was popular with the locals and attracted people who were causing troubles.:(
