We are bringing our 3 little guys down there next month and I was wondering - have any of you stayed at the Poly with 3 children (ours are 2,3,and 8 years old and are active as boys will be;) )? I have reservations for 1 room with an AP discount that is so good I was wondering if maybe I should book 2 rooms? We originally thought of staying at Old Key West in a 2-bedroom villa and the price is pretty comparable to two garden view rooms at the Poly (and we all know whose ambience wins FIRST prize here:) ) What do you all think?

We have stayed at the Poly with four children (3 + one under the age of 3) and have never had a problem. Most of your time will be spent enjoying the resort, so I think you will be fine. I wouldn't hesitate in staying in one room. Take the extra money and buy some souvenirs!!!

Enjoy!

You know your kids better than anyone. I am going to the Polynesian in 25 days and I have 2 kids, 6 and 7, and we are staying in one room. That being said, I bought into DVC this year for more room. My kids are active too and I am a space person. I booked the Polynesian because they ahve the biggest standard rooms.

I think you will be fine if you stay at the Polynesian. You just might not be inthe room as much before they go wild.

We love the Polynesian  We have 3 kids (1,4 & 7). Space has never been an issue for us. Usually nobody ends up using the day bed because we all cram into the beds together:p We have even stayed in a one bedroom at the BWV's and while they are nice they aren't a necessity for our family. zulaya is right, you know whether that closeness will be all right or not;)

I have also stayed at the Poly with 3 children (17, 9, 2 1/2) We didn't find the space to be a problem at all.

We stayed there when the children were 15months, 3, and 9. I even had a bed to myself! DH slept with DS3 and DS15months had a crib.

We will be there again in December and can't wait. The children are now 4, 6, and 12. The rooms are larger than those at AKL. AKL will most likely end up where we stay once we've stayed at most if not all deluxes. We love the queen, bunks and daybed arrangement. (We still need to stay at GF, CR, BWI, B/YC and WL.) Still quite a list!

Have a great time and don't worry, the Poly is wonderful. I'll have to get back to you on which is my favorite resort -- Poly or AKL, after our December trip.

Thanks so much for your input, everyone! It sounds like one room will do us just fine. No matter where we are the kids are always right on top of us anyway.:) We are so looking forward to our trip to the Poly. It will be the first time in about 5 years that we have had a real vacation!
