I'm sure everyone apart from me understands this....

I've decided to preorder the photopass+ for my trip next September. It seems that when you preorder you get a package sent to your home before your trip. This package includes a photopass card.

Two questions...

1) can I still preorder photopass+ if I live in the uk?
2) the card that you get sent.... Is this the card you need to take with you and give to photographers when you have photos taken? Do you need to register it? Do ride photos also get put onto this card?

I realise that's more than two questions so sorry! I'm pretty sure I understand how it all works, just the card that I want clarity on. Thanks!

yes u can pre order the photopass plus i had preordered the normal photopass but i could change it to the plus just need to pay the difference

I have sent them a message asking whether they will ship the package to the UK. I suspect they will as they happily send the CD internationally and at this stage it seems to be the only way until/unless they eventually make it possible to get an e-voucher online that you can exchange.

My understanding is that you don't get the actual card in the pack but you get a voucher so you still have to go and redeem that at one of the Photo centers. I will let you know when I get a response what they say.

I had preordered the photopass cd and photo book and upgraded it last week to photopass plus.

I got an email at the weekend to say it had shipped so hopefully all will arrive okay

how much did you pay for this upgrade ?

did you preorder the photocd with the $99 price or with the $119 after the increase ?

Id like to know this too!

also has anybody done the photo plus card and found it to be really good value? Im stuck between normal photopass and the PLus pass :confused3
We have never done either but this yr i think i really want to make the most of the Disney photographers and get ALL of my family in the pics :rotfl:

I've been looking and looking and can't find a way to upgrade!

I pre ordered in March I think, and I understood I could only upgrade to the photopass + once over there?

Can you now upgrade online? If so how?? lol

I originally paid $149 for the photo cd and photo book and to upgrade I paid an additional $70.

The phone no on the email is 407 560 4300. I think they are mailing a voucher and I will still need to exchange this at the parks for the photopass card but I least I dont have to worry about having any hassle upgrading from my original prebooking and its a little cheaper to pre order.

Hope this helps.

Yes, it is totally worth it!

I'm not in the UK and when I bought it, there was no option to pre-order, so we had to pay the $200 + 7% tax ($214). There was no annual passholder discount on the photopass+.

We were there for 2 weeks (14 days) and had 12 days worth of pictures. A little over 400 pictures. You the digital photos for the character meals (and there were 3-4 of those, not just the "best" one they pick to print out the photo package). You get the print package (for Akershus & CRT, print package is already included in the price so all you "get" is the digital photo). We did 4 of the 8 character meals (would have been 5, but sis got sick a few days before we left so we cancelled Grand Floridian)

The ride photos - we had 10 taken. We didn't do 2 of the rides (Space Mountain & Rock 'n Roller Coaster). We just went to the line (where you would normally go to buy the print), showed them the card, told them the photo #, and they added it to the pass.

When we got back home, added the borders and now there's 2000+ pictures. LOL.

NOTE: When you upload the code to your online account, you will get a message saying you have downloads. Those are the digital downloads which you can get immediately (they will also be on the CD).

The pre order option is very new which is why there are no reports of it yet.

Up until the last 10 days, you could only upgrade once there. Effectively that is still the case at the moment unless they introduce an online offer.

You still have to take your voucher to one of the Photopass locations on the list to get your Photopass+ card so this has not changed.

My understanding was that if you have already pre ordered the regular PP CD, you need to email them with your order number, email address and details and request the upgrade. From there, I don't know what happens as I have not gone that far yet - I can only tell you what they stated on their Facebook page.

You pay the difference between whatever you paid for your original order and $169.00, plus tax on that amount (you are taxed on the difference only not on the amount you have already paid). The reason you are seeing different upgrade costs is that some people pre ordered when it was still $99 and others did so after the increase. Some have also done a photobook package on their original pre order and you still pay the full pre order amount on the photo book and upgrade on the price the CD was at the time you ordered.

My only concern is that it's said that it's valid for 14 days, and we're there for a full 21 days.
I can't find any information on expanding that limit if it's possible at all.
I already have pre-ordered the regular photoCD and this is the only thing keeping me from upgrading

With our ADRs and park days there is no way we can get everything in that 14 days window and there is no way I pay for 2 photopass+

Does someone know how it's done when you stay more than 14 days ?

Just to say I received my photopass plus voucher in the post today:goodvibes

It states on the voucher to exchange it at one of the four parks or Downtown Disney and that it will last from 14 days. I also recived the stock photos CD and the code for claiming the photopass CD.

I dont know if it is possible to extend this from 14 to 21 days or not. We are actually going for 21 days this year for the first time ever ( very excited) but we only have 14 day tickets for Disney and are spending a week visiting other parks so fortunately we wont really need longer than 14 days for the photos.

We've been looking into the photopass+ for our November trip, we did the normal photopass on our last trip and it was fantastic. It looks great value so I think we will have to get it pre-ordered now I have read this thread

It is not possible to extend Photopass+ beyond the 14 days and it becomes 'active' from the time you exchange your voucher so if you are there for 14 days or longer, I would suggest not going to collect your actual PP+ card until the night before or the day that you first intend using it.

There seems to be some confusion over the 14 day validity period. This is ONLY for the Plus element of your Photopass+ package. Your regular park photos can still be taken and added to your card for the usual 30 day timeframe. It is only the qualifying ride and restaurant photos that you are restricted to 14 days to add on. Hope this helps

I've pre-ordered the regular photopass but I do have a question.

Is it possible to add the ride attraction photos to the3 photopass without buying the "plus" option ? We've not doing any of the dining options included on the plan so I don't see the benefit in paying for the upgrade but I would like to get the attraction photos as I've bought the photo book option.

Yes, you can buy the digital download image (instead of buying the prints at the desk when you exit the ride). We did this last year, at which time only certain atrractions had the option to do so but I am assuming with PP+ rolled out that all those listed now have this option available.

I think we paid $15 plus tax for each one. That said, if you are going to buy more than 5 ride photos, you are pretty darn close to break even for the plus option. We are not doing any ADRs this year (first time ever!) but we buy several ride pics every year and would buy more if they were cheaper so this is worth it for us.

I think I paid $99 for the pre visit special photo book and CD offer although tbh I can't find the confirmation at the moment :confused3:confused3 There are 6 rides that we would go on (all bar ToT) so at $15 per ride that would be $90 assuming we only bought 1 photo per ride. If I upgraded to photopass+ does anyone know what the cd plus photobook cost is ?
