For our upcoming trip, we will NOT be rushing to...

Congrats on being able to change your touring plan! The little ones grow up so fast. Maggie

We always start with Buzz and Space Mountain. Maybe we will try Fantasyland first or maybe even Frontierland.

This was our first trip that we didn't go on any rides in Fantasyland, except Mickey's Philharmagic. :earseek:

My girls are 10 and 13.

For the past 4 years Dumbo has been our first ride each trip because we have a DD. She'll be 7 this year and I'm sure we'll follow tradition and head to Dumbo first.

I look forward to, but also really dread, the day when we don't have to worry about getting to Dumbo first. :(

That's scary Jan1033!!!! I've always worried about that too while on SM. Funny, I ride RnRc and don't think a thing about it, but I think where SP is so much older and rides rougher (plus I know how close you really are to tracks above you) I always have that thought of coming unhooked when I ride it....but it has never happened!!! What did you do??? Was it near the beginning or end of the ride???

I Used to start in Tomrrowland, but, now that I am older  I start in Frontierland!;)

it was toward the end of the ride and it just got unlocked somehow. being paranoid, every so often i give a little push on the restraints in all rides like this but this time it went up, not just a little "give" but was obviously unlocked so i wrapped my arms around it backwards to try to hold it down and hung on . we were close to the end( but not close enough!) and most of the rough stuff was over but it really scared me. it seemed locked earlier in the ride so i don't know what happend. i told them and they pulled the car off but i don't know if i could go on it again. it's one of those things i always think about for 5 seconds on a thrill type ride but never think will really happen. still gives me the shivers thinking about it.

the other thing is when i told them they didn't act particularly shocked , just one cm said to the other, kind of unconcernced to "pull the car" off...like did someone else have the problem already and they just ignored it ? that creeps me out as much as the thing coming open!

Yeah, things do change.

We have been to WDW and not even gone to Fantasyland! My youngest child was 9 last trip, but he has older siblings. He hasn't done Dumbo since he was 5 or 6 and didn't do Aladdin or Astro-Orbiter (even with no line at e-night) last year. I talked him into doing "Dino Dumbo" b/c it was a new ride and he complained about how dumb it was the entire time.

Anything. We've done it enough that the commando is being phased out. We're planning on just going with the flow and seeing where it takes us.

My youngest son is 14 and my husband and I still did Fantasyland. I think those are the rides of our childhood. What Walt based his parks on. Also nothing is more romantic than Dumbo as the castle is changing colors.

Dona  :wave2:

We always do Adventureland first day at WDW. Our first ride is ALWAYS PoC and our last ride at WDW before we leave for home is PoC. Our own family tradition. Gosh, I hope that never changes!
