I wondered why they called it Potter-y Barn…
I enjoyed the special. I liked hearing from the directors, especially Columbus and his stress at putting this beloved franchise on screen for the first time. I also liked learning about the relationships between actors. HBC was a hoot! I don’t follow celebrity lives off-screen, so it was interesting to hear from them in this setting. I’ve always thought of Emma Watson as just adorable, but found her a bit pretentious (I can’t put my finger on why). Rupert Grint was as likable as his character, and Daniel Radcliffe seems like a sincere and wonderful guy!
The special was brilliant, more emotional than I expected.
After watching it, Columbus doesn't get enough credit for what he did for those first two films. He had a ton of pressure to get the first film right, which he did, and he ended up laying the groundwork for the entire series. A job well done!
HBC was one of the highlights of the entire special, such a fun, energetic woman! Seems like she'd be a total blast to hang out with.
Moments with the 3 main actors were great, nice to them get emotional about the series, made me get the same way.
I can't even imagine the emotions going through them when they filmed the lost shot of the last movie. As shown, they were all in tears, but it must really have been something. 10 years of your life, working with mostly the same cast, the same crew, similar sets, you knew your routine. Then to be done filming, not seeing the crew, not seeing your friends, or going to work, and suddenly having all this time to be yourself. Must have been very emotional.
My only complain is it could easily have been longer!
