If you are serious, you might want to look for a small contract just to try it out. It won't cost that much and then you just go every 3 years or so depending on the # of points, etc.

SSR is the "value" DVC right now -- lots of contracts, but remember at 7 months out you can switch to any available resort so you aren't "stuck" with SSR each time.

I forgot to say, we don't have a WDW trip planned at the moment ... and it is driving me crazy!!

With baby due in March, I'm hoping we can go in fall or winter -- we may do a part DVC, part hotel if they have a really awesome deal in the fall. Rumors say that the fall specials will be even better than the "buy 4, get 3" special they are running Jan - Jun.

I've got to be honest that DVC always looks good to me but with our brood it would cost us a bundle to have enough points for it to be worth anything. And also right now at Disneyland they are just starting the DVC so I want to see how it works out.

And as far as I am concerned Disney is going to have to come up with some better deals at Disneyland before I plan a trip. It's pretty bad when a trip to DW is cheaper for us.

yeah, the downside is if you have more than 4 in your family, it just starts to cost a lot more points...or you have to just go S-F and not the weekends. That's how my parents do it...they go S-F and then use their Comfort Inn Rewards points for the weekend, then go back to WDW S-F.

For me, that's too much checking in/out, packing/unpacking, etc but that's the only way they can afford it since they got a small contract.

I'm sure I'd like to go to DL sometime but to be honest, I'm afraid I would get bored after a week. I'm so used to Animal Kingdom, DHS, Epcot and visiting the various hotels that I'm afraid DL is too small. But maybe we'd combine it with other attractions in the area...

Right now I'm feeling like a sick cow -- just ate 2 cookies and 1.5 Kit Kat bars on top of my Taco Bell lunch. At the time it was what I was craving...now I just want to keel over!

But other than my "lunch mistake", I'm feeling good. Starting to feel a little more unbalanced and of course when bundled up in heavy winter coat, scarf, hat and gloves I just feel like the Michelin Man!

Like the San Diego Zoo which is incredible. Or Knotts Berry Farm. Or Beverly Hills, with Rodeo Drive one of my absolute favorites. And the beautiful Pacific ocean too. I think that it is just a matter of what you are used to. I think after the kids have gone to college Scotty and I will go to DW. That's not that far Loren is twelve and a half. Not that I am counting down or anything.

I remember when I had that appointment with Kacy's pregnancy and the DR tells me you are ready to deliver any time now. I was so excited I though oh boy it's finally over. I didn't have her for over two weeks after that. So my advice is beware of DR's bearing that kind of news.

Love is coming to Mich for Christmas!! I think they are on the road as I type....!!! (I promised her kids I would take them sledding!!!)
Wait till they get to Mich, 18" of snow.......snowing now......Our kids had school Mon. & today......it was cancelled. SNOW DAYS......the boys were hooting and hollering when they canc. it........I told them good they can shovel the driveway, they wont !!!!!

We had dinner at Olive Garden with MIL and SIL. They are now back at their hotel and my other SIL's flight gets in around 10:30 so DH will pick her up and she is staying here for the night.

I worked all day getting this house cleaned up and I must say it looks pretty good

I so agree with you. I love it too but the rush just gets to me. I am exhausted and nothing has happened yet.

StinkerBelle is beyond excited! She will not stop talking about Buzz Lightyear and a Castle to anyone that mentions Christmas to her I must say I'm really looking forward to seeing her excitement on Christmas morning!
