Well that is the perfect name! I love the meaning behind it...totally makes sense now!

Never dull here either. Spent the morning at the mall looking for a shrug to go with a dress I am wearing to a Christmas party tomorrow nite. I almost hate going to parties because I end up spending so much money getting ready for them I at least did find one at Macy's for $30.00 with 20% off...that's the most reasonable I could find.

We have the company Christmas party tomorrow night too. I normally settle on an outfit just to get it over with but this year I started shopping in October. Really a dumb idea, because I ended up with more than one outfit. I figured I could wear my black skirt so I bought a really cute purple shirt with a sequince (spelling?) around the neck and this adorable matching sweater shrug with three quarter length sleeves. Then I was in the mall a few weeks later and I found this adorable shirt in Lane Bryant that had been featured in a magazine. So I had to have it. Then I decided that it needed a shrug too so I went back and got a black one just like the purple one. I figured that I can always use the clothes because they can be dressed down too. So then I received an email from a San Francisco based clothes designer about a sale and I have always admired their clothes so I decided it wouldn't hurt to look. And they had this beautiful raspberry colored sleeveless dress. It was a $150 dress on sale for $35 So guess what? I bought. That is what I am wearing with the black shrug, oh and these adorable balck shoes I found at the local outlet stores.

Secondly I hate to sound so stupid but what is a shrug? Is it like a shawl or is it like one of those short little sweathers that only come down a little lower than the bust and don't button are just kind of rounded at the front where they go over the bust?

Now you all know how dumb I really am but I needed to ask. YOu are all so lucky to have Christmas parties to go to. I miss working somewhere that has a Christmas party.

All right girlie, this is your "Mom" speaking, knock it off, I am very young in spirit and so are my hips, lol. I had fun snow tubing just a few short years ago when we lived in the Pocono Mtns in PA.

I am sitting down here in FL and it's chilly the past two days, in the high 50's and low 60's tops. I have actually had to wear a long sleeved shirt and jeans, now that just isn't right. Tonight we are going to a nice steakhouse for dinner, not sure yet if we are going to Smokey Bones or The Texas Roadhouse. Not sure what else we'll do today or tomorrow though but we'll do something.

We are going to look at a few houses next weekend as we may buy a house here and I'll just stay here and Bryan will move to Alabama for his next job and live in the camper and come home every other weekend or so. Poor me, I may have to live in FLorida all by myself. What's a poor girl to do?

Just running around like crazy trying to get ready for Christmas!

Chele - The tea cart was such a good idea that my brother got it for her too and he had no clue she even wanted it Thank goodness I was talking to his fiance and told her that I bought it...so now I will take mine back and they can give her the one they bought! Oh, as for dates for Steph, I'll take the 22nd. LOVE the commerical Cracked me up that they were eating quiche and chai lattes

Sharky - I hope you are feeling better I have had that sandwich before and thought it was pretty good but you never know if something may have set out too long

QM - I really want to get StinkerBelle a kitchen but think I will wait for her 3rd bday. That will give me time to find a place to actually put the darn thing Ok, I thought it was Airtran. I am so disgusted with the airlines right now I think I am flying Southwest to WDW in Feb. I'm just being lazy and not buying the tickets yet because I hate spending so much money. I really need to get on the ball or prices might rise though.

Marshay - I hope it all works out since you met with the attorney. I can't imagine dealing with something like that! Oooh, I would love to see pics of your decorations! We put up a few things outside this year too and it was a first for us also. I love having a big Mickey in the front yard!

Betsy, we now think we will be here till at least February, not sure when in February but maybe we'll still be here when you get down. Of course if we find a house and buy it, then at least I'll be here in FL. We want to get an older house and fix it up.

Next year I want to add some reindeer and more snowmen...

Santa Mickey, Tree and presents. The tree changes color from white to blue and the presents alternate lighting up...the big ones for when the tree is white and the little ones when it is blue (DH's little touch)

The candy canes, large tree and PEACE sign. DH and I laugh since we have so much other lights on, it's really not a "peace" scene...oh well

I agree about the new types of makeup. I would never ever wear any type of foundation before because it looked so fake to me. Plus I'm not the best at applying that type of thing. This summer I went to the Clinique counter and was amazed at the difference!

So, FIL bought StinkerBelle Kota the Triceratops Dinosaur at Target for $240.00, I think that was 2 weeks ago. And I was just on the CB here and saw a post that Toys R Us has it for $99.00! They are selling them until they are gone! I cannot believe it! He is going to return it to Target and get it for that price now! WOO HOO

Wow that's an amazing difference. I hope your FIL will buy the new one for $99 first and then take the $240 one back just in case they run out before he gets here. I saw that in the store. I thought I wish I had the money to buy that for Trent, wasn't sure if he'd like it but it was just so cool! Bryan wanted to buy it for us and terrorize our little doggie with it, lol. It has been awhile since we have had a Penny and Sharky adventure

Well, we went Christmas shopping last night. We were supoosed to go 2 weeks ago, but had to cancel.

Even though I felt "crappy", I stuck it out and went.

We had blast.

First off it was pouring. Not too bad at first.

We started at Toys R Us.

It was a mad house. I was constantly backing up my cart, moving this way, that way.

But I got a few things..let me think what I got..as I know you will want to know

Phineas and Ferb DVD
Geotrax Airport(trent been asking for this ALOT)
Two of the Cars from the movie..think Mario Andretti was one, forget other
A Cars Mega Blocks Set(car glows in dark)

So, I paid for my stuff and we left.

IT was raining a bit harder, but not too bad.

Next stop, Target.

By the time we got there, the sky had opened up and OMG it poured. I am taling Monsoon, Niagara Falls like.

Penny parking a bit close to the other car, as it was a narrow spot and I Could not even get out. I had to climb over console and get out her side

We ran splashing in the puddles into Target.


IT was even worst here. I really thought I reaqd the calendar wrong and it was Christmas Eve


I got something for my Mom

I got a pair of warm cozy flannel PJ bottoms and nice Jersey top for Steve. I got him a pack of black socks for work.

Then on to Toys, AKA Madhouse

There were a bunch of teenagers there. I think they were either doing one of those were they buy toys for needy families, which is nice, but my god, they were eveywhere and we could not move.

They were nice. This one guy was hilarious,.

No matter what aisle I went up, he was in my way. He hit my cart a few times and knocked off part of a shelf. I was dying laughing at him as was he

Then, I come down one aisle and he trying to come out. SO I said, let me back up

I start backing up, slowly and look to see if anyone coming. Now this lady is coming right at me, with no intentions of either stopping, slowing down or going around ne, so I quickly pushed my cart forward so I did not get slammed into by her

But the guy keeps coming and he hits me...I said DUDE(yes, I used that word ) this lady is coming with a venegance, so you going ot have to wait a minute

I ended up getting for Trent:

a set of Carnival Train Coaches from Thomas the Train
A spongbob stuffed animal that came with a DVD
Not sure what this called..but you stick your hand under it and push it and it forms the shape of our hand out of colored pins???
A regular size Blue Mater (that trent is always asking for)
A cute little toy set with Buzz and Alien in from Toy Story

I think that was it.

WEll, we paid and OMG, it was raining harder.

Oh, I always got wrapping paper and a few stockng stuffers..hot wheels, candy, nothing exciting

anyway, we take off running into parking lot and look at all the people fumbling with thier umbrellas...Geez people, a little rain won't kill ya we shout as we run by

Well we ran to where we thought the car was, but it was not there and we just stood there laughing our butts off. It was funniest thing. We were drenched, you could not help by laugh

Onc we found our car, we got in and tried to dry off with heat....


Then we hit Friendlys looking like drenched rats...Waitress laughed at us

I was only able to get Cheese quesadills and could not finish. My meds had just begun to wore off towads the end of the meal. No ice cream for me


SO we paid and she dropped me off. I spent the next 20 mins, drying off all my gifts and putting them into dry bags and up to the attic to hide.

Steve PJ pants were a bit wet, so had to break out hair dryer to dry them out

That's so funny honey, you told me about getting drenched but you didn't tell me the whole story, that's a riot. I'm glad you and Penny had fun though. You two are a riot together. I always enjoy it when I am up there and the three of us are together!

I may be wrong, but think shrug is like a furry thing that you put your arms thru and it goes over your shoulders to keep your arm warm on a cold night wne you out in formal wear.

It is the little sweater. Mine is about waist length with three buttons. And I went today and bought myself hair combs with bling rather than get my hair done.

soo... Josh got laid off on Wed... iritating.. they said its because he didnt sell any cars last month but he actually sold 2 but they had to come back because the owner didnt pay on some program they run with and they couldnt check credit so in the end the buyers couldnt finance... and that dealership isnt paying their trades off either.. we went to the EDD office yesterday and he filled out a bunch of applications and on tuesday there is a job fair there for comcast and Wed. there are going to be other employers there for a job fair.. soo... hes going!

on the hair conversation.. I love my straight hair! I wouldnt trade it for anything in the world! I was so worried that if we were having a girl that she would get Joshs curley hair.. I dont know how to take care of curley hair! the only thing about my hair is I wish it would hold a curl if i tried to curl it but i almost have to glue it to get it to hold! for prom we had to use the glue for spiking your hair to get imy hair to hold the curls and they ended up falling about 2/3 into the night..
