It has been awhile since we have had a Penny and Sharky adventure
Well, we went Christmas shopping last night. We were supoosed to go 2 weeks ago, but had to cancel.
Even though I felt "crappy", I stuck it out and went.
We had blast.
First off it was pouring. Not too bad at first.
We started at Toys R Us.
It was a mad house. I was constantly backing up my cart, moving this way, that way.
But I got a few things..let me think what I got..as I know you will want to know
Phineas and Ferb DVD
Geotrax Airport(trent been asking for this ALOT)
Two of the Cars from the movie..think Mario Andretti was one, forget other
A Cars Mega Blocks Set(car glows in dark)
So, I paid for my stuff and we left.
IT was raining a bit harder, but not too bad.
Next stop, Target.
By the time we got there, the sky had opened up and OMG it poured. I am taling Monsoon, Niagara Falls like.
Penny parking a bit close to the other car, as it was a narrow spot and I Could not even get out. I had to climb over console and get out her side
We ran splashing in the puddles into Target.
IT was even worst here. I really thought I reaqd the calendar wrong and it was Christmas Eve
I got something for my Mom
I got a pair of warm cozy flannel PJ bottoms and nice Jersey top for Steve. I got him a pack of black socks for work.
Then on to Toys, AKA Madhouse
There were a bunch of teenagers there. I think they were either doing one of those were they buy toys for needy families, which is nice, but my god, they were eveywhere and we could not move.
They were nice. This one guy was hilarious,.
No matter what aisle I went up, he was in my way. He hit my cart a few times and knocked off part of a shelf. I was dying laughing at him as was he
Then, I come down one aisle and he trying to come out. SO I said, let me back up
I start backing up, slowly and look to see if anyone coming. Now this lady is coming right at me, with no intentions of either stopping, slowing down or going around ne, so I quickly pushed my cart forward so I did not get slammed into by her
But the guy keeps coming and he hits me...I said DUDE(yes, I used that word
) this lady is coming with a venegance, so you going ot have to wait a minute
I ended up getting for Trent:
a set of Carnival Train Coaches from Thomas the Train
A spongbob stuffed animal that came with a DVD
Not sure what this called..but you stick your hand under it and push it and it forms the shape of our hand out of colored pins???
A regular size Blue Mater (that trent is always asking for)
A cute little toy set with Buzz and Alien in from Toy Story
I think that was it.
WEll, we paid and OMG, it was raining harder.
Oh, I always got wrapping paper and a few stockng stuffers..hot wheels, candy, nothing exciting
anyway, we take off running into parking lot and look at all the people fumbling with thier umbrellas...Geez people, a little rain won't kill ya we shout as we run by
Well we ran to where we thought the car was, but it was not there and we just stood there laughing our butts off. It was funniest thing. We were drenched, you could not help by laugh
Onc we found our car, we got in and tried to dry off with heat....
Then we hit Friendlys looking like drenched rats...Waitress laughed at us
I was only able to get Cheese quesadills and could not finish. My meds had just begun to wore off towads the end of the meal. No ice cream for me
SO we paid and she dropped me off. I spent the next 20 mins, drying off all my gifts and putting them into dry bags and up to the attic to hide.
Steve PJ pants were a bit wet, so had to break out hair dryer to dry them out
