Since I know we all love pics on this thread...here's a sneak peak of the nursery...

The room isn't totally finished but really close. This is 1/2 of the wallpaper border. There is also a giraffe and lion.

And here are some of the addl things we got.

Once my glider comes in, it'll go in the other corner so the palm tree will be between the glider and crib.

I was so thrilled to get the Melissa and Doug Leopard and baby on Freecycle! That's like $70 new.

We also have a lion trashcan, a jungle growth chart and we painted the ceiling fan blades a bright yellow to resemble the sun. We still have Wallies Jumbo clouds to put up in the room, but basically we're done (unless I see something else that is just too adorable!)

It's been so much fun finding jungle themed stuff.

DD's room was flowers and insects so we bought 2 sets of the Wallies clouds off of ebay and will hang up one set in each of their rooms.

I'd still like to get a cute jungle wall hanging ... but I may opt to hang up real photographs of animals in nature instead.

Marshay - The nursery is ADORABLE I love the theme! I have never heard of Freecycle? The leopards are great! Melissa and Doug make such nice things, I'm glad you were able to find them that way! Looks like you are ready! Do you feel ready?

Go to Freecycle.org and you can sign up for your local area. It is a free service where you can get and also get rid of things you don't want/need anymore.

I've gotten a lot of DD's clothes on Freecycle; tons of toys for her, diapers, an outdoor Fisher Price playset, etc -- all FREE!!!

All you have to do is go to the person's house and pick it up.

Conversely, we've been able to get rid of stuff we don't need anymore -- an old loveseat, a queen size mattress, DD's playclothes and toys we don't need, my clothes that don't fit anymore, extra kitchen stuff, etc.

The idea is you send an email out to a list of people in your Freecycle area saying "OFFER: Large yellow bucket" and then people will email you that they would like it. You pick one person to get it and put it out on your front porch. They come pick it up and you never have to deal with them face to face (unless it's a large item you can't put outside).

It saves junk/trash from going into our landfills and you either get FREE stuff or know that your "junk" can be used by someone else.

The only downside is that you can get a lot of emails. However, I just look at the subject...if it's something I want, I read it and respond. If not, I just delete w/o ever reading.

Check it out -- I've save literally thousands of dollars since I've been lucky to get some really nice things.

I was wondering about whether you could hold him or not. When I had Kody I couldn't hold Kacy and she was just over a year. I am sure it confused her. I did cheat though because I just couldn't stand it. I am glad you are okay.

i know im gunna cheat.. but not just yet.. my incision is right above my belly button and it hurts.. ill prolly be holding him in a weekish once most of the pain goes away.. I cant hold Gwenie either my heffalump doggie.. shes gotten fat..

I was so surprised and thrilled when Scotty suggested the December Disneyland trip. This more than makes up for no getting the weekend trip in May.

I had a great day, we had a nice breakfast, exchanged gifts, went to the pool and swam most of the day, came back and showered, went out to eat and then came back and watched a movie. Then DH started to fall asleep, lol, he gets up so early, even when he's off as he's in such a habit of waking up at 4 a.m. that he can't sleep, then he falls asleep early, but that's okay, we had a great day!

Glad you had a good day. I think you're just rubbing it in with the swimming thing. You want me to take a picture of what it looks like outside here right now. And it is so cold!

Hey Nikki, how have you been? I've missed you. I have not been around much, spend my computer time working much to my dismay, but hey I gotta work or they won't pay me. But lately, heck I have to beg for my paycheck, so what good is that?

I miss the days when we were all on at the same time a nights, having a blast chatting back and forth. I hope to see you in May!!!!! As far as I know we are still coming to our annual meeting in Johnstown! Keep your fingers crossed we can come!

Hey all.. I had my surgery today.. everything went fine.. i feel alright.. as alright as I can.. resting and stuff.. i never realized how much I loooove holding Jason till now.. I cant hold him for 2 weeks now.. but earlier Josh layed him next to me in bed and i cuddled him and his sister layed him in his boppy and I fed him and when he needed to be burped she picked him up and burped him.. so i dont feel like super bad mommy (even tho i know i shouldnt) but i like doing things for him..

Glad it went okay. You know you won't pull off that no holding thing, right?I give you two days.

I like all your pictures. I have no idea where you find the time to do all this stuff, be pregnant, take care of your DD, clean your house, etc. You have some mad skills.

Tell me about it. My husband does the same thing. I'm not even sure if he can actually grow facial hair, though.

I showed my videos to my kids and the first thing they said was, "He's got some LONG hair!" Well, that was after they asked me if I got the chainsaw on video. I'm such a good role model, aren't I?
