Oh, I'm sorry... I wasn't clear enough, was I?

YES!!!!!!!!!!!

:rotfl2:

thanks!! :rotfl:

I keep thinking it would be really nice if we could take advantage of free dining but I just can't make any plans until this house sells.

Alright...... gotta get the boys from the bus stop in a bit.... I sat here all day, practically

phone rings.

stop typing and answer phone.

OH MY FF, PEOPLE!!!

It was my agent....... we are getting an offer tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!

:cool1::cheer2::yay::woohoo:

I just told y'all that even before Tomato knows!!!

fingers crossed that it is a reasonable offer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gotta go call my man now!!!!

Talk to you later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:woohoo: WOOOOOHOOOOOOO!! Oh how I pray pray pray it is a good offer!!

And looks like SOMEONE *might* be able to take advantage of free dining....:rolleyes1

Oh how sweet. I would love to go to Disneyland Paris. But while our kids are at home it's a no go. I am real excited for you. Now the nasty contractor has got to get this going and pay you!

well we just can't do DL Paris b/c we won't be able to go to Paris for more than 4 days and that's too short :sad2:

You're welcome

:lmao:

I already knew about this but I still think it's AWESOME!!!!! So happy you have a trip to plan now. Even though we still won't be there at the same time. :sad2: I'm selfish I know

:woohoo::woohoo: hope it turned out to be a GREAT offer!!!!

I know you want me there in December...sorry girl!

OMG Cheri, that's awesome! Mike is one heck of a husband, I'm envious but oh so happy for you! That sounds like you are going to make it there one way or another just a matter of where you stay. I'm not so sure about Paris Disneyland because of how weak our dollar is right now. I believe that Paris uses the Euro Dollar and that's not as good as the franc or the pound, butr don't take my word for it, check it out first.

Its great to plan things like this before you have kids because once they come along things get tight and you can't always do all the things you would like to until they are a bit older!

I sure hope that contractor pays up so that you can go but even if he doesn't you may be able to swing Pop so go for it girlie and enjoy! I'm really happy for you!:yay:

you are SO right about the dollar being weak. I hope it picks back up in a couple years!

Sounds like a tiring, but awesome weekend with your tomato

Way to go to the Champions :cool1:

That is so awesome girl!!!!

I agree....4 days is not enough time for Paris

Go to Disney :wizard:

Okay, you don't have to tell me twice. :lmao:

So....DH and I went on a walk around the college yesterday for exercise. I had to walk SOOOOO fast to keep up with his longer legs, and I was sure tired! Then we walked the stadium steps!! OMG my legs FELT the BURN! I'm sure I will really be sore tomorrow as it normally is on a one day lag. LOL

I don't know if we'll be doing it tonight or not but hopefully it will become a routine for us at least a few times a week! I need to get back in shape. ESPECIALLY if we are going to Disney!

So DH and I talked about it, and I told him the price for a moderate and he said that was a good price. HOWEVER, when weighing my options for a moderate, I really don't know if it would be worth it. Kelly suggested Port Orleans Riverside.

Carla suggested Port Orleans French Quarter. The main thing that turns me off from those 2 resorts is that I live so close to New Orleans already and go there often. So the theming would be no excitement.

Coronado (CSR) is out, because they are the big convention resort and their food court sucks (and I have stayed there...ONCE when I was 19 with my family) and Kelly said you are even expected to tip in the food court :scared1: (I don't remember that aspect though) And I hate that you can get stuck in a room CLEEEEEAR on the other side of the lake and have to walk like 15 minutes to the main area for food court and everything.

Which brings me to CBR (Caribbean Beach Resort)...I hear they have the same issue with the walking. I like to fill up my drink a lot and we usually buy milk in the mornings for our cereal that we bring, and sometimes eat breakfast in the food court. So being far from it just would not be an option. I guess we could pay for a preferred room but I'm not sure DH would like to up the price.

Any thoughts on this from my fellow Lifers? Tips, tricks...anything?

Oh, by the way, DH also told me on our walk that "we can go anywhere you want, and if Disney is what you want, then okay"

It kind of makes me feel bad, but he's the one that brought up going to Disney in the first place. So I think he really wants to go and was being "Mr macho" and was not admitting that he wants to go back too!
I think any other worthwhile trip we'd take would cost quite a lot more than going to Disney (especially for the value price).

Last year we had toyed around with ideas of Vegas & New York, but seeing those prices scares the pants off me!

Also I would LOVE to visit Mickey in his original homeland, but (Chele, correct me if I'm wrong) a week there would probably cost just as much as going to Vegas! What I mean by that is if we wanted to do DisneyLand for a few days and then do other things (which we would). Prices are really high there from what I hear.

im here (and typing one handed.......uncle gave me ice cream cone). sorry i wasnt here earlier but was watching release of new iphone operating software.

thanks!! :rotfl:

Have you considered Disneyland? I mean they are running these great deals into September. Pay for three nights and get two free, is a pretty great deal.

well, it scares me. I hear things are VERY expensive in California. And if we went all the way there we'd surely like to do some other things besides Disney.

How far into September does that deal go?

The reservations have to be made by August 11 and the prices go into September 26. I am also sure that they are probably going to offer another deal after this one during the "slow" season but I know that September is one of the best times to go to Disneyland because it is slow and the weather is generally very nice.

As far as prices there are ways to do things cheaper. You can go to places like Mimi's to eat instead of eating all your meals in the park and DTD has some not quite expensive places to eat. And as far as the main money thing gas is where you will get hit, but by September it will start to go down again because people will not be going as much so the prices go down.

ahh, thanks for the advice/input! Does Southwest fly into where we would need to go? I know DLR is in Anaheim but what city is the nearest airport?

I believe the airport is the John Wayne is the airport but honestly I might fly into Burbank as it is cheaper and you can rent a car and drive to Disneyland. In my experience it is more money to fly into John Wayne and yes you can fly Southwest.

Hey all

I responded my thoughts to you in my email from work

DLAND would be cool, but I Udnerstand being a little bit leary on that right now.

SO..DISNEY WORLD IT IS

:woohoo::woohoo:

oh, okay, I saw Burbank on the SW list.

How far is Burbank airport from Disneyland??

you know, I honestly wonder if I need more time to plan a DL trip...

I'm nervous about planning for WDW in Sept and I've been there many times and done the planning for 2 of those times all on my own.

Okay it is around 40 miles apart. What you might want to do is get yourself one of those guide books and plan a trip from that. I go on the actual Disneyland site and do all of my planning on there. Flights I would do on the airlines site though.

Your welcome. I can also give you links to a couple of travel agency that can help you too if you are interested. I tend to dream plan on the Disneyland site because you can get an idea about prices and such.

THey were up in the air about tnite, but she thinks they may just spend the eveing at DTD :wizard:

Still no offer yet. I don't know what time they were meeting with their agent.
The waiting is killing me. I'm literally sick to my stomach.

Thought I'd come on and distract myself!

UJ called a little while ago! He got an e-mail from Disney today for some dates in August that you can get a value for $59/night and get this! FW or AKL for $139/night!!!! That is just unbelievable! We are hoping that we might be moved by then and we could go with UJ and my sister. I would be so freakin excited if we could do that! (hey, my nanner is finally dancing again!)

Poor Love, I hate waiting. My Dad always said a watched pot never boils. So maybe if you get busy the phone will ring. That would be great if you could all go together. Wow those rates are unbelievably great!
