We are fine. DD running a low grade fever all week but other than that...How are you and yours?

Yuck what a terrible time to be sick with a fever. As is you aren't hot enough already. Glad everybody is fine. We are pretty good. Scotty is working tons of overtime, earning that money for our Disneyland trip. :goodvibes

Now look what you did!

I'm confused --- looks like they have different locations?

:rotfl:

Yeah, they have 2 smaller locations --- I knew about the one in Galveston but I didn't know about the 3rd & 4th ones. I assume the others are about the same size as Galveston.

But the New Braunfels one (the one near San Antonio...I linked you to that particular one) is the big one. I wanna go there so bad!

ah now I get it. But the Galveston one is only 6 hours from here and the hot tub has a swim up bar. My sister and I have I decided that we are leaving tomorrow. :lmao:

oh, sorry to hear that! :sad2:

The way she is running around here you wouldn't think she was sick at all.:sad2:

that must be a BIG hot tub

:rotfl: that is great....I wish you were serious. I'd tag along. ;)

I went and bought some nice scrapbook paper and I am making him apage with our kids with pictures of them that they are going to pose for and take of each other. Goodness only knows what to expect and I let them pick stickers for the page. I know that this is my forst page so don't expect miracles.

Men are dense sometimes. I learned early on that Scotty was not going to remember to do anything unless he was beat over the head. I never expect anything but he always does something sweet at the last minute and that's all I can ask.

I think this will be great! Are you going to put it in a scrapbook or one of those scrapbook frames so you can hang it?

Yeah me too. But the kids squealing with laughter everytime somebody falls or gets hit -- makes me laugh.

Ugh. Men can be so dense sometimes. Ok...you're not that into it, but maybe it means something to me. I say give him the present. He will love it, I'm sure and maybe he will see the error of his ways. I try not to make it into a "Hallmark" thing. I look at it as a day to try and make up for the fact that we might take our Dad's for granted the rest of the year (same thing on Mother's Day).

I'll take the "hallmark" hype -- hey, a day to get a gift and be told I'm a good mom? Bring it on!!:lmao:

The one I want to visit most is Schlitterbahn in San Antonio, TX!!! I WILL make it there one day. :yay:

Ooooh, this sounds like fun!! It's on the Travel Channels best Water Parks every year.

Driving distances from my house to Schlitterbahn:

to the Galveston Island park location...
Total Estimated Time: 5 hours 43 minutes
Total Estimated Distance: 336.57 miles

to the big park in San Antonio (~ actually New Braunfels, TX)
Total Estimated Time: 7 hours 49 minutes
Total Estimated Distance: 485.11 miles

Only a couple hours further to the bigger one ;)

My DH is a really good man -- yes, he's dense on the holiday stuff but guess what???

DH agreed to buy something today!!!:cool1::banana::cool1:

Go check out my TR to find out what!!

I am planning on it being the first page in a scrapbook I am starting for him with his bicycle racing pictures.

I am kind of nervous on how it turns out.

Yeah but if you go to the Galveston one you can visit LeeLee doesn't she live in that area?

Scotty was so sweet today he got me some roses.

And here is a picture of them with the rose that Loren picked for me in the front.

Oh, this will be great! Don't forget, if you don't like it, you can always redo it.

If I may suggest (obviously don't feel like you have to do any of these ... it's just stuff I've learned over the years):

Mat your photos either one or two times and then put on the main page. This will make your photos pop. Or instead of matting the photos, mat 1/2 or 1/4 or 1/3 of the main page with one or two other pages. This provides more visual stimulation.

If you have colored ink, run the ink along the edges of the mat for a visual bling.

Put the photos at a slight angle to give it more eye appeal instead of in straight lines.

Use stickers; put a ribbon across the the page and put the photos on top of the ribbon.

Add a small journal box where you can write or type out some sentimental thoughts.

Oh, those are beautiful!!

What's the occasion??

(Or as the sit coms say, "what did he do wrong?"):rotfl2:

I love the idea about matting the pictures and I never would have thought about doing it that. Thank you, I bought a gold pen to make the pictures pop. I need to get a few more but I figure that I will go someplace cheaper than Michael's for that. I found the cutest bicycle decorations to put in his scrapbook. They are a helmet bicycle shoes, and a bicycle outfit. I am trying to find bicycle ones that are road bikes and not mountain bikes. I could really get into this but I could also go broke doing it.

With Scotty the flowers were a just because the Loren one well....he is going through puberty and is constantly in trouble.:goodvibes

Hi guys,

I watched Wall-E lastnight and I don't think I have watched a sweeter love story in a long time. I really enjoyed it. I have been watching the commercials for My Sister's Keeper and I have debated whether I want to call my BFF and ask her if she wants to go see it. The only reason I am debating it is because I get all teary eyed watching the commercials for it.

Scotty and Loren love it. I am kind of lukewarm about it.

I take it you don't laugh at people when they fall down either? I am like a middle school boy when it comes to humor (i.e. I can't get enough of Adam Sandler) and that show just cracks me up!

oh okay, I had asked if it was that Japanese show once a while back and I don’t think anyone answered me (or I missed the answer)

Huh, and I remember you asking that too. :confused3

Have not actually watched Wall-E... only listened to it. The kids got it for X-mas and they watched in the car on the drive back home from MI but I was in the front seat so I didn't *see* it. It seemed like there wasn't a lot of talking in the movie though. That is the only time my kids have watched it. :sad2:

And as for My Sister's Keeper... did you see when the cast was on Oprah? Or was it just Cameron Diaz? I can't remember but I bawled watching that! I don't think I can watch that in the theater... especially with my friend battling cancer right now... too close to home, kwim? I'll have to wait for it to come out on PPV so I can ugly-cry at home!
