I think I had detention ONCE...for tardies or something stupid like that. And I didn't show up!

same here...3 times late

but I did show up ;)

I'm exactly 100 posts behind Carla (in this thread)

well....now 99 LOL

you too funny girl :rotfl2:

I already know about all this and going to the Well Clinic and doctor. I just hope that he can get his strength back over the weekend and go back to school and normalcy next week. He's such a tiny little guy that he can not afford to be this sick for this long. He needs nourishment and calories! Keep taking good care of him like you've been doing. Give him lots of kisses and hugs from Mom Mom.:hug:

Thanks Mom :lovestruc

She hasn't posted in a while but I think I've seen her on Facebook, but not positive. We'll have to watch for her on there and ask her where she's been on the DIS????

oh good idea..will do that :3dglasses

it's that time...go time! I'm headed to the tanning bed again as we just made plans to visit a water park in Baton Rouge on the 19th! :woohoo:

I'm SO looking forward to it!

that sounds like fun:cool1:

She had to take him to his doctor after going to the Well Clinic as he has had the virus too long for them to do anything. The doctor wanted a urine sample but he wouldn't cooperate because he feels so bad and everything hurts. Kelly will give all the details later I am sure but he has to get some nourishment into him or he'll have to go to the ER and get an IV and he won't like that. She gave him some pedialyte and though he doesn't like it, she told him drink this or we'll take you to the hospital and they'll put it in you with a needle and he cried cause he didn't want that so he reluctantly started to drink so, so hopefully that nourishment will give him some strength back and he won't be so lethargic. The good news was they were worried about appendictis but they ruled that out, thank God!

Thanks mom...was going to post all of that, but you saved me the trouble

SO we are on road to recovery...drinking up a storm and eatinga little

will post a bit more in a separate post..almost caught up :happytv:

Oh poor litle guy. No he would not enjoy an IV. I hope everything is okay.

thanks chele:goodvibes

We need to play a 4 way Scrabble Game some night. Kelly and I play a lot and she's always involved with a game or two with you, Carla, Michele so maybe we can play together one night!

And why does Mike want to catch Frogs? What does he do with them?

sounds like fun

someone set it up :thumbsup2
Have you tried the root touch-up kit? I think it's made by Clairol. That stuff really works! You get the shade closest to your own and just brush it on your roots and it matches... it is some kinda freaky magic! That way you can go just a little bit longer between colors. :thumbsup2

Aw, poor Loren. How did it go? And I am jealous... I sooo wish we were done with school already. Maybe I AM ready to go back to a traditional schedule!

Be careful what you ask for! :rotfl2:

:lmao: I didn't read it that way!

Yes, those two and also Hey Jude. Every single year for Homecoming. Now I am pretty down with the Beatles but that song irks me every time I hear it... luckily it's so old that doesn't happen very much!

I absolutely cannot wait to hear what Tat has to say about you eating FROGS!!!!!!!!!! popcorn::

Sharky, I hope Trent is feeling better soon. Poor baby. :sad1:

Alrighty... this was just a drive by to get caught up! See ya real soon!

Thanks love:goodvibes

Hi Love, so glad you drove by and stopped in a second!

I have to try that root touch up kit, my roots come out so fast, guess that means my hair is totally gray now, but I never leave it long enough to find out, lol. I have to get Bryan to dye me this weekend. Do you think I could use a mustache brush and have him do my eyebrowns, one of them is blond so you can't even see it when I have no pencil on it and the other one is brown, so weird, aren't I? (no comment Nikki!)

She will definitely have something to say about Mike eating frogs legs, lol, I can't wait for that post.

Love you are the only one who understood me, everyone else thought i was being mean to Nikki and I would never ever be mean, thank you for understanding me. :rotfl2:

Thank God, yes Trent is feeling better!!!

See, you are ready for this move, you are ready for the traditional summer schedule, off for the summer again!!!

Come back soon girl, we know how busy you are but we miss you!

yeah Dixie Landings. The water park was actually there first. It's called Blue Bayou. We'll be doing the water park during the day time and then when it closes we'll be at Dixie Landings doing the regular rides

I'm SO looking forward to it!

glad he drank the pedialyte and NO appendicitis!

yes, just this summer. I hope they continue it every summer! (or at least every summer while I'm there)

yeah! I was just saying that...can't remember if I mentioned to Carla or Kelly though

yeah...frog legs are good!

:lmao: I had to read that twice! :rotfl:

Oh I had it ack basswords, lol, yes I meant to say that! I thought Blue Bayou was the amusement park. The company I worked for had their company picnic set up for their and then Katrina came and they cancelled because they wanted to send the money to be used for Katrina victims instead of a company picnic but Blue Bayou would not give them their money back. We ended up not going because of their lack of caring for the community under the circumstances but lost the money as they would not give it back. I know you will have a great time at Blue Bayou and Dixie Landings! Can't wait to hear all about it.

Since you got home late, and Kelly and Carla weren't on line, we'll try the Scrabble another night.

Yes we are thankful Trent drank the Pedialyte and didn't have appendicitis, tha would be so traumatic for him, he's so young to go through something like that. I am very thankful to God and everyone who said a prayer or sent good wishes his way!

Aren't frog legs all rubbery? I get the chills just thinking of eating them. IU can't eat a lot of the Louisiana cuisine, I'm afraid what might be in it, lol. I'd die if I took a big spoonful of gumbo and found a little squirrel paw in it, LMAO! :rotfl2:

Okay, so my mom posted most of update on Trent

Trip to Pediatrician was a nightmare. Well not the drive there. Once he was taken in the room, was all downhill

No matter what dr did he screamed and everything hurt, which is why it was hard to pin point if anything did hurt

He pretty much determined it was because of how lethargic and sick he was.

He made him walk down the hall way and he walked fine. He was looking to see if he was hunched over. A sign of appendicitis. NO Fever...which is good...fever is a sign of appendicitis

So he gave me zofran for nausea and told me to keep hydrating him

he said if he was still like this in a few hrs, to take him to ER and ask for IV for fluids

Thank god it did not come to that.

When we got home...he drank drink after drink after drink

He had about 7 crackers, one pancake and two cookies...

He did good for first 2 hrs, but then his lips had been so dry, and he would not stop picking at that them, that they began to burn as he said

I wanted to put Vaseline on them and he freaked out. Screaming and calling me a lunatic;)(spongebob word I think)

Once it felt better.....about 15 mins, he was fine

Back to watching Tv

I think getting out to in the car and fresh air helped a bit, too, even though it was raining :sad2:

IT was about 5:30 when we got home after getting his prescription after the pediatrician

So, he had been awake from 2pm to now.

He only fell asleep for about ten mins

Watching cartoons. Playing potato heads lying down

He was just watching videos on Youtube

Earlier he was playing on Nick Jr.. He doing it all lying down, but just glad he was awake and cracking jokes like his normal self

So thanks for everyone well wishes and prayers. We really appreciated it

:grouphug:

I knew most of this but that is hysterical that he called you a lunatic, LMAO :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: He is too funny, screaming and crying and calling you a lunatic for trying to put vaseline on his lips, he is too much.

I'm so thankful he is more like his old self and feeling better, even if he was layiing down, he was alert, had interest in something and was awake! That's awesome progress after what he's been like for the past several days!

Very True

Thanks..me 2:lovestruc

girl I have no freaking clue about any of it!

Hope you have a great afternoon/evening....tata!

 well sorry I asked all those questions then. Guess you'll hear all about it though since Mike is getting into it now.

Thanks. It was a pretty good evening. We went out to dinner at O'Charlies (which we haven't done in quite some time) and then went to Best Buy and bought "He's Just Not That Into You" on Blur-ray and got an iTunes card so I could get some of the new music that's been coming out in the last few weeks (311, Eminem and Dave Matthews Band :thumbsup2)

I'm at the hospital now. Chris is getting prepped for his ear surgery. :thumbsup2 Thank God for free Wireless internet at the hospital!

:woohoo::woohoo: I heard about the water park but still excited for you! Sounds like lots of fun!

You dont' realize how dark it gets in those indoor mall buildings until there is a power outtage, it was weird as you couldn't see hardly anything in there! By the way the Belz Outlets are in a mall type setting, lol.

Thanks Carla, I notice that some of my coughing now is a little more productive instead of so dry and deep, not "squirting" as much. LOL, TMI!!!

Yea it sure is a bummer losing our TV and coffee maker and today I discovered we lost our big ceiling fan/light in the family room to the storm as well. With Homeowners having a large deductible to make it affordable, we aren't turning it in as it would just about cost us $500 to replace everything and the deductible is $500 so not worth it.

Yeah I can imagine. That happened to me and Chris one time at Target.

That's good. I'm glad the coughing and "squirting" is getting better!

ah yeah....I think the insurance companies plan that.

Yes, those two and also Hey Jude. Every single year for Homecoming. Now I am pretty down with the Beatles but that song irks me every time I hear it... luckily it's so old that doesn't happen very much!

Yeah lucky you. I get to hear "Celebration" and "We Are The Champions" at work EVERY day! :headache:

Ok, the thread is started ... please post your "wackiness"

Kelly ~ I'm really glad Trent is feeling better. I LOL'd when I read that he called you a lunatic. Just picturing that word coming out of his mouth makes me laugh. What did you do when he called you that? I don't think I could keep a straight face if my kid ever says that to me.
