Awesome

he has to 19th
Betsy and I live so close, we really should get together more often. She's such a cool chick!

The 19th!? Holy crapola. Do all the schools in your area go so late into June?

Well since we're posting sucky weeks, here's mine. As you all know I got bronchitis as soon as I got to NJ to visit Kelly, Trent & the rest of the family. Well it just won't go away and I can't break up the dry mass of congestion in my chest. I called for a prescription and no one ever called me back so I went to call again today and come to find out they called my prescriptions in two days ago. I have to go 18 miles to any store and I was down there two days ago so I had to make another 36 mile round trip to get my prescriptions. I know, that is minor crap, just had to start with my first sucky thing! LOL!

We had a horrendous storm tonight. First time ever I was literally so scared when a storm broke out. There were tornado warnings or watches, whichever is less severe here in our part of the Parish and severe storm warnings. Well it came and it came hard and fast, there was constant lightning and thunder at the same time, so you knew the storm was right over us. Bryan had gone to the dumpster and saw lightning strike a tree right in front of him, said he never saw anything like it. Well I went out of my way to light candles in every room, turn off the TVs and and was waiting out the storm. I heard such long long sounds of rolling thunder and weird sounding thunder that I really thought it was a tornado and was about ready to cry and head with the dog to the bathroom to get in the tub!

After the storm, Bryan was able to get out of the truck (he was waiting the rest of it out in the driveway as it was coming down in sheets) and he wanted coffee so he went to turn on the coffee maker, which we just got about 2 months ago, and it won't work, it burned out from the storm, we had a few surges during the storm. Pain but not overly bad as coffee makers aren't that terribly expensive.

Well I just went into the bedroom to get PJs and get ready for a shower and was watching a show in the family room so wanted to see the end while I was getting ready for my shower and I go to turn on the TV, which is only a year old, TV/DVD combo and guess what, the storm took that out too!:scared1: I couldn't believe it, nothing was on, but they were plugged in so I guess power surges can kill something even when it is not on.

I am not going to be able to sleep tonight as I have to have the TV on to fall asleep.

I know its not nearly as bad as Cheri's problems with the roof and car and Kelly's pipes in the kitchen, and...certainly not as serious as my Trent being sick but it sure sucked to find out that those things were blown out by the storm. :sad2:

Let's all go to bed and get up next week and hope that its going to be better!

Jeez, I always hated that! I'm sure my husband enjoyed how big those suckers were, but he couldn't touch them or else he'd get squirted. Now how's that for TMI?

Girl, I'd say totally send her! She will probably be sad at first, but she'll be having a good time and it will be over before she knows it. As an added bonus, she'll get to bond even more with her grandparents AND you'll get somewhat of a break.

She's gonna have to be away from you soon for school anyway. It will probably be a good experience and she might not get those sad feelings when she does go to school and has to be away from you. She will have one up on the other kids.

Will you come clean my house? I pay in Disney dollars.

yep -- DH admires from afar ... Elie has been playing a couple of times instead of feeding...DH says he is jealous!

Thanks for advice on sending DD to vacation with my family. I do want her to go but when she's crying, mommy I don't want to go, it makes me rethink it.

However, the latest is she wants to go on a boat ride ... so I need to see if there is some kind of boat ride they could go on.

Paying in Disney Dollars -- I'm there!!

Loudoun County Virginia schools also go until June 19th, since they don't start until after Labor Day.

Supposedly there is a rule on the books called informally the Amusement Park Law that prohibits schools from starting before Labor Day. This way the school students can still work at King's Dominion and Busch Gardens and the companies dont have to find new workers for late summer/Labor Day weekend.

I miss LEELEE too! That girl has been through so much. I think she needs a break.

Ain't that the truth? I've even said prayers for her and her boys, and y'all know how much I pray. I try to remember what they have to go through on a daily basis when I'm feeling crappy.

Hope everyone is better soon.

God that's terrible. Poor little guy. I think its going around. One of my friends has been sick with that, too. No vomiting, just the squirts.

NO DISHWASHER! You better use paper plates or something so you don't have to do dishes. I think I'd go crazy if mine ever quits on me. That is my least favorite job of all. I'd seriously rather clean the toilet.

We have to get everybody all straightened out here. It has to get better soon.

Hey Tat! Missed you!!!

You are right, we do have to get everyone straightened out, it's like a hospital and bad luck combo!

Jeez, I always hated that! I'm sure my husband enjoyed how big those suckers were, but he couldn't touch them or else he'd get squirted. Now how's that for TMI?

Well no cavities is good news. I didn't have any either until I had Kyleigh. She sapped everything out of me and I ended up getting fillings after I had her.

Around here people don't know what good oral hygiene is. You'll have to come to my town sometime and we'll play "count the teeth." Good for you for taking care of your teeth!

Can't say I've ever been there, but I'm sure they'll have some plan of action for when a baby comes in. What if you just held her while you guys ate? Can you and DH swap her, each holding her for a few minutes so the other can eat? Might not be the best plan, but I'm sure you could do it!

Girl, this is not good news! I wish I could come down there and give those guys a kick in the you know what for you.

Actually, they all walked pretty early. Unfortunately, their fascination with the bathroom meant I had to lock the door from the inside to keep them from playing in the toilet. For the longest time, we were unlocking the door with a paperclip.

I miss Betsy! Do you want me to make a trip to her house and light a fire under her butt to get her in gear?

Before you know it, he'll actually be typing sentences on there!

He sure does like the m key, doesn't he? He must have been hungry.

And are those "special" brownies???

Cool! What is it?? Can you PM me? Call me? I wanna know!:lmao:

At least it didn't come out your nose. That hurts!

We can't talk about our private spot here! This is a family board!

SO TRUE!

But we know that you never swear! QM is a good girl!

PUIing...the typos will be coming any minute.

Not from alcohol. Had to take the good prescription drugs. If I don't kick this headache soon, I'm gonna be back in the hospital again begging for dilaudid. I've gotta get rid of it before vacation!

Hey chickie!

Will you come clean my house? I pay in Disney dollars.

I miss orangie! Thanks for checking up on her. I really don't think to do stuff like that. Sometimes I forget I have all y'all's numbers (well MOST of you anyway). Usually I just send ya the bad pictures.

Is she a teacher at the dance class? She's really involved with that!

You can play count the teeth in this area of LA also, so we can play the game together, lol.

Nah, I"d never say cus words, no never, not Mom Mom :rolleyes1

Well glad Kelly checked on LeeLee and I checked on OB, now we know they both are okay.

Yea you have our numbers, I know by the pictures I get from you that you have mine, LMAO :lmao::lmao::lmao: You can use it to say hello too you know, it actually does do regular texting, LOL!

Yea you and Betsy don't have to wait for me each year to get together, just make sure you keep that weekend open for me every year!!!

Sharky -- so sorry to hear about Trent's illness.

I know my mom's doc said that something was definitely going around in PA (however, she picked it up somewhere between FL and VA). She ended up going back to the doc since she was not able to keep anything down/in and it was going on 7 days. So they were going to run some more tests.

I'm waiting to hear the results.

Hi Corrine. Are things better with you and your friend Bridezilla?
lol - 3 weeks and counting - but my real countdown is til the bachelorette party which is in 9 days! After that, it should be -hopefully, smooth sailing!! but Anna and I have worked things out when we sat down to chat - we'll be going out tomorrow night just for some drinks to have fun and kinda let all the stress go..but thanks for asking!

Wow, I've missed a lot.

UJ, I'm hurting for you. I'm sure you know that I have a 16 year old son. It's kind of the same situation with him wanting to stay with the *%^#@ because of the lack of rules. I think it is something all teens go through. I know I liked going to his house when I was a teenager...no rules and no consequences.

And the ex does the same thing with using my son to hurt me. It works. He knows that he can't beat the hell out of me anymore, so he uses my son. And that hurts worse.

I read Mommom's reply to you and I agree with everything she said. I don't really have time to type out a whole reply to you right now, but I totally agree with her.

If you ever need to talk, I'm here for you. Not sure if you have my number, but your SIL does. Call me, text me (wait, can you do that?;)), whatever. I know how hard it is to have a child that you love so much and all they seem to want to do is make your life hell.:hug::hug::hug: for you.

And how about that hockey game?:)

Cheri, I can't believe everything you're going through. Jeez, when are you gonna give us some good news? Hope things get better soon.

DisneyBunny - Hi, I'm Nikki. I guess I missed the boat on giving you advice, but I agree with what the others said. Hope you can work things out with Anna. I'm sorry to hear you're dealing with someone with cancer, too. Seems to be too much of that going on around here lately. Hope you stick around. These girls and guys are great friends to have and really help out when you're feeling down.

Steph - Did he really say that? He's not even 5 months old yet! Wow. I can't remember how old mine were when they first said that, but I had an early walker (Shane was 7 months and toddling around - we knew he'd be our athlete) and an early pottier (Kyleigh was potty trained at 11 months - as soon as she started walking, she was ripping her diaper off and going). That's great that he's learned that already.

Nic - Sorry the hubby's gone. I know you must miss him.:hug:

Hi to everyone else. Sorry, I've been really busy lately.

Where's Betsy? And can somebody please have some good news?

Hi Nikki!! Nice to meet you

But No sink or dishwasher til this weekend as steve is working until Friday.

YAY ME

Thinking something is in the air and next week has got to be better:rolleyes:

I'm so sorry to hear he's sick - I hope your son feels better:wizard:

I miss LEELEE too! That girl has been through so much. I think she needs a break.

I really do need paper plates. Thank god I had just ran the dishwasher, so most of our stuff is clean

we all need to go to bed and not get back up until next monday :goodvibes

My poor little guy. I know how sick he's been as naturally you've been keeping me posted. That is so cute that he is pointing at his drink in his sleep. He is so funny when he sleeps, one eye open and does things while asleep. I get such a kick out of him. What a shame he is missing all the fun stuff, but the only good part of that is he doesn't actually know it's all going on so he wont' feel disappointed.

Sorry about the pipes honey, so glad Steve can fix them though, that's a big break as labor is more than half the cost of a repair job!
[/QUOTE

yeah, I do not htink he knows, so that is good at least. I just feel bad

YES!!! As long as everything stays on track, we'll be leaving next Friday after I get home from work. Then staying at my sister's friday night. It will be late until we get there cuase I know nothing will be ready when I get home. I havew to remember to start packing next week so I'm not so far behind come friday. I'm such a procrastinator when it comes to that kind of thing.

I still don't know if we're taking my car (no air conditioning, but good on gas) or Joe's car (AC but has 111,000 miles on it and a sucky CD player). Which would you suggest???

sweet girl..that is awesome

does anyone mind having windowns down entire time during your drive? If not, then I say take your car

Betsy and I live so close, we really should get together more often. She's such a cool chick!

The 19th!? Holy crapola. Do all the schools in your area go so late into June?

We were supposed to get out 16th, but darn snow days had to be made up

we do not start until after labor day, so maybe that why :confused3

sound like a scary storm indeed

I be lost without my tv in my bedroom either

maybe sleep on the couch? :goodvibes

Hey, Bunny. Glad to hear you and Anna worked it out. Now go have fun tomorrow night with her!

Hey, Tat. I think I'd have to go with the A/C car. You guys will roast w/o AC and yes you can roll the windows down but driving long distances at high speeds is not good for a vehicle with the windows down. It creates friction and of course makes your gas mileage go down. And don't forget the noise, pollution, things flying out the windows, etc.

I'm sorry you're having a sucky week too. That storm sounds like fun! I'm a weirdo who likes thunderstorms. We had one here last night and Shane was so scared. I can't understand why he's afraid of thunder and lightnigng. We had put an air conditioner in the window last week and I guess Joe didn't get it in right, so water started coming in. That kind of sucked cause I had a bit of a mess.

I've seen coffee makers at the dollar store for 10 bucks. I used to have one from there, but I ended up giving it to my mom when I broke hers. Whoopsie. Sorry about your TV. Those aren't quite as cheap.
yep -- DH admires from afar ... Elie has been playing a couple of times instead of feeding...DH says he is jealous!

Thanks for advice on sending DD to vacation with my family. I do want her to go but when she's crying, mommy I don't want to go, it makes me rethink it.

Paying in Disney Dollars -- I'm there!!
Like Steph said, I'm sure she'll be fine once she gets there.

Yep, Disney Dollars. And my house isn't that big, so it wouldn't take too long. What I really need to do is get clothes put away in my bedroom. We have an old house with only ONE freakin closet, so it takes a lot of organization to keep the bedrooms in order.

Well since we're posting sucky weeks, here's mine. I am not going to be able to sleep tonight as I have to have the TV on to fall asleep.

Let's all go to bed and get up next week and hope that its going to be better!

Oh, I'm sorry QM!! The storm sounded very scary. I'm sorry for your coffee and tv loss.

When I bought my digital piano many years ago, I was told to always unplug the piano when not in use b/c if lightening struck/power surge, it could "disable" my piano. So I always keep it unplugged.

We have surge protectors on our computers and tv ... you may want to consider one of those for your next tv.

I will have to remembwer to text you all more. I always get these pictures and think I should send them to Carla, but then I remember she doesn't get the picture messages. GRRR!

Wish you could come up here more than once a year. I always have a great time with you girls!

Just another reason for everyone to move out of this godforsaken state. Let us know how your mom is doing.

I wish we could skip over the rest of this week! I am not looking forward to tomorrow at ALL!

Actually, I'm the only one bothered by having the windows down. I hate getting my hair messed up. I work really hard to get it straight and then it gets blown all to heck. We did the no AC thing in Florida before and we survived. But it kind of sucked driving through that hurrican in NC with no AC and the windows down.

What is up with you all sleeping with the TV on? I can't do that at all. I have my air purifier running while I sleep. If I had the light and the noise from the TV, there is no way I'd get any rest.
Hey, Bunny. Glad to hear you and Anna worked it out. Now go have fun tomorrow night with her!

Oh, I didn't think of things flying out! I believe we've lost quite a few things that way. Joe's car also has a bigger trunk than mine. And since I practically live in my car during the week, it is kind of messy.

We were supposed to get out 16th, but darn snow days had to be made up

we do not start until after labor day, so maybe that why :confused3

that sucks mom

sound like a scary storm indeed

I be lost without my tv in my bedroom either

maybe sleep on the couch? :goodvibes

It was a scary storm, scariest I've been in, in a long, long time. I can't believe it took out our TV, the coffee maker we had an old one we can use for now but the TV, now that's just Wrong! I am not going to sleep. Maybe the cough medicine will codeine will knock me out. I hope so because I seriously doubt I should be taking an ambien with the cough medicine with codeine at the same time! I can't sleep on this couch, it is so uncomfortable. WE want a new one but we want to wait until we move so we know how big we can go or how small we need to go. We won't know where we're going to put it so can't decide what to buy yet. I just wish we'd get two lazy boys for now and forget about a couch all together, not like we have company or anything to worry about having a seat for.

I agree with Marshay, go for the air conditioning as its tough driving at high speeds for a long time with windows down. I know, I've tried it and I get so wind blown and have dirt coming in and getting in my eyes. Air conditioning is the way to go.

I remember the days of an old house and little closet space, that stinks! Now we have a ton of closets here, only two of us and they are crammed packed. I think I need to clean them out, lol.

The coffee maker isn't a biggie, even though it is knew. We had an old one that didn't have a timer on it so that is why he got a new one. We just took that one off the shelf in the pantry and put it out. Now the TV is another story! I can not sleep without TV and I don't sleep well to start with. I'm going to have to be drugged every night.

We do have the new one we just bought for the bedroom in the camper so maybe we can bring that one in here, it's a flat screen so it's nice and lite and not bulky. We can bring it in here and just take it out to the camper when we go camping to use it. Silly to leave it stored under the bed in the camper for weeks on end and only use it in the camper for a weekend here or there.

I defintely will have to have it in here if he starts traveling again. He may have to go to NH in a few weeks for two weeks and no way am I not having a TV in the bedroom then!:scared1:

Oh, I'm sorry QM!! The storm sounded very scary. I'm sorry for your coffee and tv loss.

When I bought my digital piano many years ago, I was told to always unplug the piano when not in use b/c if lightening struck/power surge, it could "disable" my piano. So I always keep it unplugged.

We have surge protectors on our computers and tv ... you may want to consider one of those for your next tv.

Do you play the piano? I took 8 years of lessons and do you think I can play that thing anymore? I think I know two songs total.

But the lessons were a good thing because I was the only drummer in high school that knew how to read music. And eventually I taught myself to play the clarinet and the sax.

I didn't know you had talent! I wish I did, I would love to play the piano. I can pick out some tunes that I self taught myself but can't read a note of music.:confused3

And here I am worried about my hair!:lmao: Who cares if I can't see to drive because there's something in my eye. As long as my hair looks good. Not that I'll be able to tell as I'll be freaking blind.

Yeah, you should bring in that TV if you can't sleep. We really need a new TV in our living room. I'm just too cheap to go out and buy one. The top of our TV has these lines that go across it, which makes some things hard to see. I don't watch enough TV to care though.

To be honest, I haven't touched a musical instrument since I graduated high school 14 years ago. So who knows if I can still do it.

If it makes you feel any better, I can't sing to save my life. The cat runs upstairs and hides under the bed if I break into song.

lol - 3 weeks and counting - but my real countdown is til the bachelorette party which is in 9 days! After that, it should be -hopefully, smooth sailing!! but Anna and I have worked things out when we sat down to chat - we'll be going out tomorrow night just for some drinks to have fun and kinda let all the stress go..but thanks for asking!

Hi Nikki!! Nice to meet you

I'm so sorry to hear he's sick - I hope your son feels better:wizard:

so glad to hear that you anna worked things out

thanks:goodvibes

Sharky -- so sorry to hear about Trent's illness.

I know my mom's doc said that something was definitely going around in PA (however, she picked it up somewhere between FL and VA). She ended up going back to the doc since she was not able to keep anything down/in and it was going on 7 days. So they were going to run some more tests.

I'm waiting to hear the results.

Thanks girl

WOW....7 days...I hope he does not have that ...Your poor mom
