The triplets looked like they were straight out of the 80's didn't they?

Yeah they sure did. They looked like they belonged to a hair band. And what was up with "we are the same person" thing? That really freaked me out. I would have gotten rid of them first too.

It's addicting, beware :lmao:

Sharky and I should probably enter a program at some point for the addiction

yeah I'm noticing that. I was really into them before I married Chris and ever since then I haven't gotten to watch them much because Chris doesn't like all that stuff. But now if I say to watch something he watches it (most of the time). I mean, I have to watch him play video games all the time so that's the least he can do.

So what is Daisy of Love??? I never heard of it.

I see Sharky already explained it to you. It's such a crazy show. At least she's not as disgusting to look at as Flavor Flave was.

It's kind of apples and oranges if you take her flotation devices into consideration.:rotfl2:

So I was nursing Elie and went to scratch my neck...felt something hard...thought it might be a scab at first. Since it was dark, I couldn't see.

As soon as she was done, I went to check it out...thought, it might be a tick since I was working in the garden today.

Sure enough, it was!

Aaaaah! I never had a tick before. DH tried to pull it with a tweezer but it wasn't coming. So then he light some matches, blew them out and put the unlit match on the tick. He said the idea is to make the tick uncomfortable enough so that it comes out on its own.

Took 5 matches but it worked.

Then I got worried that DD3 might have one since she was outside with me. So DH took a flashlight and we checked all over her body while she was lying in bed. No ticks.

Then we checked our cat since he was outside, too. No ticks.

All I can think of is Lyme Disease! Hopefully we caught it in time...it was less than 6 hours...maybe only 3.

oh man, glad you found it and glad your DH was able to get it off. Hope you don't get sick off of it.

Yes, Happy Mom's Day to all. Hope you celebrate this day better than me! :rotfl2:

We are sitting in church (topic is the Maternal part of God) and at the end where the pastor says, "Happy Mother's Day!", DH leans over to me and says, "Is today Mother's Day?"

"Yep", I said.

Then when we get in the car, he says, "uh, so you want to go out to eat somewhere?"

Ridiculous...yes, let's just head to McDonald's for Mom's day since all the nice restaurants are BOOKED!

But I held these thoughts to myself and just said, well, I didn't plan anything for today since I wasn't sure what might be going on.

DH says, well, obviously I forgot it was Mother's Day...I thought it was Wednesday (???) or next week. Sorry.

So we are home now...I'll go warm up some leftovers...

At this point, I am disappointed but have to laugh...DH just refuses to look at a calendar. I was actually thinking of reminding him last week but then thought why?

oh man major bummer :( I'd be so upset. Especially after just having had another baby. Booooooo on DH :sad2: :hug:

Helllooooo Ladies!!!!

To all the moms out there...

Cheers!

awww poor Mike! Sorry to hear work has been so crazy and then you got sick. That totally stinks. I was starting to wonder where you were. Are you all better now? Will work slow down after the semester is over? I hope you get a break!

:lmao::lmao::lmao:true. They are pretty huge. Did she get rid of that guy that got really wasted the first night? He looked like a real winner

No the girls were talking about that the other day. They couldn't understand why she kept him but sent away a really nice guy. I just laughed at their innocence.:rotfl2:

Oh man I can't believe she didn't get rid of that gross guy. Those shows are such train wrecks. But that's why it sucks us all in. And that's the whole point. Freakin' VH1 LOL

Happy Mother's day everybody! And happy Sunday to you non Mom's! My Mother's day has started really nice. Text messages and such from my buddies. And breakfast in bed from Kacy. She made some delicious and fluffy pancakes and served them to me in bed. Yes, it's nice when your kids get old enough to cook.

sounds like a great day :):):)

Love, What are you teaching again?

I'm in the self contained classroom for kids with autism. They are K-2 age. I should be done in there May 18th.... but then, I've said that before!

My mom is 82 Years Old.
My Mom is prettiest when she wears MAKE-UP
My Mom likes to make CHEESE BREAD(knew it was me by this one)
My mom always says " I DON'T KNOW."
My mom makes me laugh WHEN SHE MAKES SILLY FACES.

That is so precious!

At least he didn't say he wished his mom was Sandy from Sponge Bob. :sad2:

Hi everybody!

I have been a bad Diser. Here and lurking but no commenting. I am feeling kind of in a blue funk, my right arm and hand have been giving me a hard time so I am pampering it a little.

Sorry about the funk Chele! I've been rather blue myself. If one more person calls me with bad news I think I might crawl in bed and not get out.

Another lurker

I need to get out of my funk too. Nothing really going on, just haven't been able to get my act together.

I am psyched though because I get to see QM and Tat on Friday for dinner :woohoo:

Uh-oh~ more funk! I hope Stinkerbelle is feeling better!

And YAY :yay: for dinner with QM and Tat! (I'm jealous though!)

Real World/Road Rules....not as good as it normally is

AI.....Is awesome of course....

America's Next Top Model...anyone watching? It is almost at the end
Tomorrow they are having a marathon on Oxygen or bravo..forget which one

Hills......Stephanie is a MORON. I know Laure must have been forced to ask her boss for a job for her.

Hell's Kitchen...pretty good.....I kind of hope guy wins..do not think he will go much further without help from show

Betsy..SO you think you can Dance is starting up this month too

WOO HOO

You do know that this is why you don't sleep, don't you? When else would fit in all this TV? :rotfl:

All I can think of is Lyme Disease! :scared1: Hopefully we caught it in time...it was less than 6 hours...maybe only 3.

What you need to watch for is a red ring around the place the tick was. If you get one of those, go to the doctor. If not, no worries. (we live in prime tick territory and have to deal with them a lot)

Well, I'm all caught up and must run! As much as I'd rather not, I've got to do the grocery shopping and finish up the laundry. Some mother's day, huh? Ah, such is the life!

TTFN! :flower3:

Just wait in a few years DD will be reminding him. Our girls do that and I did it with my Dad. It's funny but after my Dad died my Mom was talking about how my Dad never forgot to get her cards for any occasion. I'll never tell her why, I think that it's a nice memory for her that my Dad never forgot.

That is so nice of you to keep that memory for her! You are a good daughter!

Yes, about the tick.

Believe me, I was going to be all upset about the mom day thing but decided that I can choose to just get my frustration out with you all (:lmao:) and not be mad here at home.

Actually, we had a nice leftovers lunch and I'm going to go take a nap. Probably the best present I can have right now!

aww, sorry girl. that stinks

Hope you have a nice mother's day anyways :goodvibes

Yep, it did but I'm over it. Enjoying our day. Beautiful weather today.

Thanks for the advice re: the ring. I meant to look it up. Will go check it out now.

So, Steve and Trent just gave me my mother's Day Present.

They made a picture collage of pics of Trent and Trent and Steve from year he was born to present on a DVD and put the most awesome song on it...

It is a remix of Somewhere over the rainbow and What a wonderful World...

It was done by a Hawaiian man who passed away this past year I believe. You should be able to find it on youtube by typing those two songs together

It is such an amazing song :lovestruc

I don't know who did Somewhere over the rainbow other than Judy Garland in Wizard of Oz, but Louis Armstrong did What a Wonderful World! I think you are thinking of Don Ho who passed away this year. He did some other great songs!

I can not wait to see your DVD! Keep that type gift in mind, it would always be a good gift for MomMom's also, lol.

I'm glad you had a good Mother's Day and thanks for the text/pic of Trent eating his choc cake dessert toyday, he was so cute and chocolatey, lol, so sweet!

LeeLee I just know Braeton gave you a great mother's day as did Tyler. Hope everyone is well and you had a great day!

If I missed anyone I am sorry I am just trying to post quick before something else goes wrong!

My computer died, as you all know, now last night Bryan's computer, which was newer than mine totally died, so we got out my really old one that was given to me from an old company I worked for and the mouse didn't work but Bryan was able to get it working so don't know for how long! I gotta get a job so I can afford a new computer! I don't know what I'll do if I can't get online at all! :scared1:

We stopped for two days on the border of GA and TN. We stayed in Trenton, GA, unfortunately too far to go visit Carla. We've been to the Incline Railway which scared the bejesus out of me!:scared1: It was so steep that when you got in the car you literally sat nearly on your back the way the seats are situated so that as you start up the incline at that 72.5% grade you eventually are facing not only forward but you can actually look straight out the roof of the car which is all glass. I was almost having a heart attack. We also went up the Look Out Mtn Road to the top of the mountain on this really windy mountain road and I have never been so scared in my life, not even driving over the mtn in Bedford, PA! The macadam road is two narrow lanes, one each way, the white line on the outer side of the lanes and literally less than 6 inches of macadam and then nothing, it drops straight down the mtn. If you go off the side of the road you will end up in a heap at the bottom of the mtn. They didn't even have guard rails on a lot of the road. It was freaking scary! The only funny part was we started up the hill in TN and then suddenly we crossed into GA on that windy road and then further up we crossed back over in to TN. Off and on all day we were in and out of one state and back in the other!

Finally we went to Ruby Falls, you go down an elevator a couple hundred feet and then you get out and walk thru this cave to a depth of 1120 feet to this absolutely breathtaking undergrounde waterfall which is 145 feet high.

awwww that sounds awesome! WTG Steve and Trent! :thumbsup2 I have heard that song. I love it :lovestruc

Thansk girl. :goodvibes

What a wonderfully thoughtful gift.:goodvibes

Thanks Chele:goodvibes Breakfast in bed sounded great too:thumbsup2

Hi Mom

It is not Don Ho :rotfl:

It is this guy : Israel Kamakawiwo'Ole (might have missed a few letters when I copied and paste)

He was a heavy set 40 year old Hawaiin man. His heart just gave out from being so overweight. But his song is so amazing
