Aw...sorry to hear about your job. Hope you are rehired:goodvibes

Good job On Jenny Craig :woohoo:

Oh I will be fine.....Teacher's Assistants is worked on a seniority basis. Every year the bottom 10 - 15 are let go and then rehired over the summer as needed. Usually after the 2nd year you are pretty "safe". I don't agree with the system but it is something I have to work with. Most likely I will be rehired but it won't happen until August......the control freak in me doesn't like the WAITING!!!!!:rotfl2:

Sorry to hear about the job...is that normal to let TA's go this late in the year?? I mean it's only 1.5 more months to go...
**
Yeah for 1.5 lbs!! All this talk of dieting and exercising has got me doing it too. I'm trying to follow 2 steps:
- exercise at least 5x week (I'm either walking, playing volleyball or doing an exercise program that I like on FIOS)

- trying hard not to eat past 9pm, 8pm if I can

Once I have these 2 steps as routine, then I will try to cut out some sweets, fats, etc.

I have one week in so far but haven't weighed myself since...sort of afraid to see but will do so tomorrow or Saturday.
**
Ouch!! Bone on bone doesn't sound good...

Another weight loss seeker:yay::yay::yay: I need all the encouragement I can get...........and I love to give it!!!!

Good Luck Marshay - BABY STEPS!!!! We can do this!!!!!

I will be let go on the last day of school even though I was told back in March that I would be "fired" - they like to call it an Honorable Discharge - What am I in the Military????:dance3:

What kind of business is it? Hope you weren't bored all day:):)

Yea for you!! Hi!! Nice to meet you - I will be there in 13 days!!! Where are you staying?

Where are you staying? I am not sure which day I will be at the parks. DD and I are going to Flower and Garden at Epcot. Let's see if we can run into each other.:) I will know more once her work schedule comes out.

YIKES - glad to hear it is not a stress fracture........how come so long on the blood work? It usually takes a couple of days - are these special tests?

UGH - I hate this time of the year.....I was also let go as a Teacher's Assistant......chances are I will be rehired in August. I will keep your friend in my thoughts.

I went to Jenny Craig yesterday and lost 1.5 lbs. Not as much as I had hoped but definitely a loss:yay: So far I like the food......easy to follow. I need to move more as in exercise but my knee keeps me from moving as much as I need to. Going to try to do exercise in shorter bursts.....

Going to the DR in a couple of weeks for another round of gel shots. I am totally bone on bone and this will give me a cushion. I am headed for knee replacement but hope to hold off until next summer.

It BITES for the body to get old BUT I have never been happier and more mellow than I am now.....so I will take it and keep using super glue on the body parts:rotfl2:

Have a Magical Disney Day
Chrissmiss- you are too funny! I'm on JC also, but not losing much this time around. I lost 20 pounds last year, but had to stop due to money. I started back last month and haven't lost much. Ugh. Older bodies like to hold on to fat! I hope your knees allow you to get some exercise in. That will help.

Yeah, those two trips were fun for me and I was not even there

Keep us postd on both:goodvibes

:rotfl::rotfl: Yeah Little Sharky would have been with me last year had I not of forgotten her :headache:

I will for sure :thumbsup2

We make custom corporate furniture. I'm the General Office Manager so I sit in front of a computer all day. It was not too bad. I played a lot

I'm actually staying with a friend in Kissimmee and will only be at the parks on the 23rd. MK and MGM (Star Wars Weekends). Keep me posted. Maybe we can try and meet up at DTD.

Yeah that is good but I hate being in the dark on what is actually wrong with him. I talked to my MIL about it last night (she uses the same Dr) and she said they always tell her the same thing but she always gets her results in at least 2 or 3 days so I doubt it will take that long. We will probably hear something by Wednesday.

Oh man that totally sucks that you lost your Teacher's Aid job. I hope they do re-hire you. Thank you :goodvibes

:yay::yay:for the weight loss. I'm glad you are enjoying it. That stinks about your knee though. My MIL was like that on both of her knees a few years ago. She had both replaced and she is now better than she ever was and it has helped her weight loss tremendously since she can exercise with no pain. I say go for the knee replacement ASAP. It can only help :thumbsup2

Sounds like a good plan Marshay! You can do it :thumbsup2

Oh Man! I want one too! So cool.

What the heck happened?

That would help out a lot. I heard Star Wars Weekends are super busy.

Oh no. I'm so sorry. :sad2: What does she teach?

hehe :)

I'm not sure. We have no real answers yet. I hate the hoops you have to jump through with Drs.

Yeah, it is....which is why we got park hoppers so we can leave MGM and go to MK after we've done all that we want to.

Thanks OB. She teaches AP History.

Morning girl! Congrats on 2,700!!! :woohoo::woohoo:

Hey all

Today was a Mother's Day Tea at school.

It was so cute

They had kids come one by one to door and give their mom a potted flower and wish them a happy mother's day and Kiss them.

Then, the kids had to escort us to our tables and pull out our tables.

Once all moms got there, they sang four songs....very cute

Then, They had drinks and dessert for the moms. The kids had to take our order and go back and pick it up for us and deliver it to us. Then had to clean up when we were done

Here is the best of all:

THey had to fill in sentences with thing about their Mom. The teacher read them out loud and then the mom try to guess which sentences are about them.

Here is what Trent wrote about me:

My mom is 82 Years Old.
My Mom is prettiest when she wears MAKE-UP
My Mom likes to make CHEESE BREAD(knew it was me by this one)
My mom always says " I DON'T KNOW."
My mom makes me laugh WHEN SHE MAKES SILLY FACES.

Some moms were 20, some were 10, NOT ME

I was 82!!!!!!!!!!!

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Hey gang!
I haven't been on in a while and need to catch up. This is what I pulled up, will go back to catch up or maybe Sharky would be kind enough to give me an update!!:flower3:
Carla: so sorry about Chris!! But maybe I can help!
No way!!!! I'm sorry to hear this.

but you definitely need to get your doctor to write something up so you can get a GAC card.
The GAC (Guest Assistance Card)is wonderfull and while most of the time with a w/chair you don't need it it does work seperatly and better. But you do not have to have anything written up by a Dr. Although it may help. They didn't even look at B's. In fact legally they can't ask you specific details. But you do have to be specific what you want it for. He can't wait for lengthy times, no sun, etc.... it's according to your needs. We had this with Braeton and it was great! We are going to have to get one in Aug for DH. Do get it that is what it is there for. For those who need it!! And it is what is says. It assist you with whatever your needs are. We knew several people that were using them for different reasons and things.

O.k. Gotta jump off. Haven't been home too long from Shannons surgery. have lots to do and TYLER is coming home today!!!:dance3: He's been visiting my Sis about an hour and a half away for almost 2 weeks!!

Hi LeeLee. Thanks for taking the time to explain this to me a little better. You and Marshay have probably just helped us have a WAY easier day at the parks here in a couple of weeks. I am very grateful!:hug::hug: I will for sure get one of these cards for Chris as I'm sure it will help. After him walking around today if this is indeed a fracture in his foot (which I'm really thinking it is even though the xrays came back negative) he won't be able to hobble along in a ride line for long. Thank you again so much LeeLee and Marshay. :thumbsup2

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Oh, this is great!! :rotfl2::lmao:

So how was the tea? Did you get a choice of tea?

Thanks LeeLee for the clarification on the GAC card.

So technically it's all on an honor system? What's to stop a person from just saying they have 'x' and can't wait in long lines? Then they laugh all the way when they bypass the lines?

I'm surprised this hasn't been abused more often. I always thought you had to show a handicap card or get something from a doctor (of course a doc's note can be abused, too...)

So now that we have a trip in the works, I'm starting to plan it!! :cool1:

Still deciding if I'll do a TR...I certainly want to but not sure of the time commitment.

So far I listed the top 5 priorities we want to do in each park, then a few more if we have time and am working on the restaurants.

We haven't decided if we'll just pay OOP, do the DDP or purchase the TIW card (Tables in Wonderland card gives 20% discount at most TS).

So I printed the menus for places we might eat at this trip (mostly in MK, Epcot or on the monorail resorts) and will look them over in the next few days/weeks and decide.

It's exciting to be planning again!!:goodvibes

Oh, this is great!! :rotfl2::lmao:

So how was the tea? Did you get a choice of tea?

Thanks :rotfl:

THey did not do hot tea...Hot beverage and a room full of 5 years old, not a good combo :rotfl2:

Either diet ice tea, regular or ice water.

So now that we have a trip in the works, I'm starting to plan it!! :cool1:

Planning is the best

Do share

You know we like details

Only dates good for us now is Friday, the 4th or Sunday the 6th

Both weekend days...This sucks :headache:

Thought for the day - why does the scale at home show much better numbers (of course it is first thing in the morning;) then the scale at JC? :rotfl::rotfl:

Love my scale first thing in the morning - naked:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

This morning down 6 pounds................

AHHHHHHH but will it say that at JC Weds Afternoon......pretending that it will:dance3::dance3:

Off to clean

Have a Magical Disney Day

I'd say go ahead and get the DDP. That way you don't have to worry about allotting money on top of everything else for food. Will just be one less thing you will have to think about while you are there. And if you do decide to do a TR we of course want the link.

Glad I could amuse you girl :lmao:

Hi everybody!

I have been a bad Diser. Here and lurking but no commenting. I am feeling kind of in a blue funk, my right arm and hand have been giving me a hard time so I am pampering it a little.
