Eh, about the same as normal. It has the decided feeling of being a Monday. How are you?

Tired! As usual! Braeton made it to school today!! So that's a good thing!!! :yay: I need to wake Tyler up to start his school, but I think I'll let him sleep in a while! :upsidedow

I read some news story today about Fad Dances and songs. it started off with some new one by Miley Cyrus. Hoedown Throwdown or something like that. Anyway one link led to another and now I'm watching old MC Hammer videos on You Tube. Right now I've got "Do Not Pass Me By" Boy am I showing my age. This was the thing to skate to back when I was in the youth group. This (Hammer his "Christian" songs) and DC Talk!!!:rotfl:

Aww the best part of home schooling, you can sleep in! That's my kind of school!

I admire you both. I would never home school my kids just because if I were there teacher, they'd most likely end up morons, lol. I just don't feel that I would be able to do it well enough.

You said Kody doesn't talk on the phone with her friends, is this just since the headaches started or is she always like that? They do need interaction with other teenage girls, you are right.

She just doesn't like talking on the phone. She will text message for hours though.:confused3
Oh so she txts all the time, that's good then, she socializes, she's just not a phone person. A lot of people aren't.:)

Just thought I'd provide an updated photo or two for your enjoyment! These capture my daughters in a good mood!

Evening All

Well back to work I went today:laughing: Can't play with my new friends during the day;) so I will have to wait until the evenings to chat.

Leah - Congrats on getting back into your Sunday School Rooms......Glad Braeton had a good time at the Civil War performance. I read that Braeton had a tough day - how is he doing?

Braeton - How was your haircut?:):):):) I am just like you - I always want to go on vacation:goodvibes:goodvibes

Kelly - where does your friend live here in the Chicago area?

Michele - The yarn store I go to is about 25 minutes from home. I would travel ANYWHERE for this group of women......the owner of the store cares more about forming a community or "family" then anything else. Her attitude is if you have a community the rest will come to the business. What type of headaches is Kody having?

OrangeBlossom - What brought you to Chicago? Where did you stay?

Karen - How was the pool? The snow is slowly starting to melt BUT they are talking about snow showers later on this weekend:eek::eek: I am about 35 minutes from Downers Grove and a looooong way from Dixon:rotfl2:

Nikki - People can be stupid and cruel:headache: Don't listen!! If everyone were the same life would really really be boring:goodvibes You Go Girl - wish I had the self confidence and courage you have to be yourself:hug:

Cheri - Nice to meet you!! I have never been to Hawaii - lucky girl:thumbsup2 How cute is that puppy!!!! Have you had any luck finding his owner - I have a 4 yr old mutt (cockapoo shihtzu) and I couldn't imagine him getting lost:scared1:

Watching Dancing with the Stars - will check in later

Have a Magical Disney Day!!

Hey Chrismiss, My cousin lived in Park Ridge on the other side of Chicago for years, she recently sold her house and moved but I can't recall the name of the town she now lives in. It's not awfully far from Park Ridge I don't think. Yea Dixon is a ways out, almost in the next state, think that would be Wisonsin but am geographically challenged so am not sure! LOL!

The pool was great, I planned on spending today there as well but the sun didn't come out yet. It's very overcast. I keep waiting for it to burn off. It is hot though, just not sunny. I'm:sad2: sorry you are still getting snow, that stinks! :sad1:

That is the Teenage thing to do!!! i've seen friends sitting RIGHT beside each other texting to each other!!:confused3:rotfl: One way to keep people from eavesdropping I guess!!

It is the only way teens seem to communicate :rotfl: My girls have taught my DH and I how to do it. Sometimes when DH is in the bedroom and I am somewhere else in the house I will text him just to annoy him:rotfl2::rotfl2:
hahahaha I love it! :lmao:

Trentmom and I text off and on all day and evening, then we chat online later in the night.

If I ever learn how to sleep again, we may have to start chatting earlier, lol.

Hi Marshay!! What adorable pictures, the baby is so cute and DD (what did we decide to refer to her as?) looks so happy to be holding her baby sister! I love the little outfit the baby is in, she looks so cute in it!

Does Braeton give you a hard time about going to school because Tyler gets to stay home?

Hi Marshay!

They are so beautiful! Are things going any better for you yet? I hope they are.

I do NOT miss those days at all. Too bad you can't have DH do that for you. That would be great if all we had to do was have the babies and our husbands could breastfeed them.

I understand that feeling!! Tyler nursed @ ever 1 1/2 hours and took about 45 min to an hour to do it so I had @ 30 min to an hour break. But I miss those days in a way. Braeton had so many muscle issues that he was never able to latch on right. I did nurse him as much as I could but I had to pump and give it to him in a bottle mostly because of the sucking issues.
You take every nap you can get and don't Forget that WE here think YOU are an AWESOME Mom!!!

Last night I was so tired (was the first day all on my own since my mom went home and DH went to work). But we did survive! :goodvibes

I couldn't get DD#2 to sleep at all...was finding myself getting all upset so finally I hand DD#2 to DH at 9:30pm and said, "She's Yours!" and walked away.

DH woke me up at midnight and asked if I wanted to nurse her or should I just give her some formula...I said, give her formula and fell back to sleep. I actually got 5 hours of sleep last night!!! It felt like :cloud9:

How nice of DH to be so helpful. Kody had colic and she would not settle down and it got to the point where I finally learned that if I layed her in her cradle she would calm down. And in that time I would calm down too. My heart goes out to you.

Thanks! I look at some of these pics and just can't wait to scrap them!!

Things are going. With DD3, it's like walking on egg shells...I never know what's going to set her off...however, she keeps telling me about once an hour, "Mommy, I love you!"...so I guess I'm doing something right!

Oh, I feel for you! I don't -think Elie- has colic but she makes all these noises (grunts, groans, etc) and is spitting up a lot. We're trying to judge when she is so uncomfortable she needs to be held and when she'll just settle down by herself.

Oh I think you are. I think that maybe right now for herself she needs to workout her place in the family. You know what I mean? Maybe she is confused and not sure she likes her new "grown up" role. Kids are kind of funny. You never know what they are thinking.

Each baby is different. Kacy had a little colic too but with her it had been easier because she was the only child at the time. Also I learned the trick that if I took Kacy to the bowling alley she would pass out. Something about the bowling alley calmed her down. When I had Loren and he had no colic and wasn't fussy I was afraid that something was the matter. His Dr laughed and explained that Loren was a gift from God because the girls had been so fussy.

Oh Those are GREAT photos!!! And two beautifull girls!!!:goodvibes

Yep he tries sometimes. he has never liked the "going" part though. Once he's there he's fine. He keeps telling people when he's in 3rd grade he might get to homeschool and then he keeps trying to negotiate next year with me!!!:rotfl:
