Hey everyone. Hope you all are having a good Monday. My day is not too bad. Going by a little slow but that's okay. Chris is working over time this evening so I'll have a little more time to sew and work on my projects I want to get done before my quilt retreat at the end of next month so I'm looking fwd to that.

Oh and for those of you on my PTR I did my final update on my Memorial Day Mini TR today.

Today I'm under the weather too. Don't want to be too detailed so I'll leave a few things out. Tummy hurts, bach is aching, low-grade fever, and just all around fatigued.

Having a really baaaaaaaaaaaad day

The washing machine has died........
It's been dying for a while - DH has been resuscitating it but alas it's gone......will have to buy a new one tomorrow

On a more serious sadder note - just found out today that we have to put our 12 year cat down She has never been sick a day in her life and has lived 12 wonderful years. During a routine check to get her ready to retire to Florida it was discovered that she has serious liver and bile duct issues along with a strange mass on the small intestine. Surgery would not necessarily fix any problems and could potentially cause more problems.......There not even giving her a 25% success rate

So after talking to the specialist and our vet, DH and I talked about it and decided that it was time to say our goodbyes to her......This is soooooooooo hard - the letters are blurry as I am typing this....... We will probably do this on Wednesday.......

Really want to eat comfort food right now and that 's not good either.....

Everything turned out ok. I had Rachel give DH the gifts. She had been soooo good about not giving away what the gifts were and I hid the D-A-D underneath his favorite (store-bought) cookies. The other gift was M&M Almonds.

So she hands him the wrapped presents and says, "Here Daddy ... you open that one and I'll open up the cookies!" Then she realized her mistake and got all embarrassed.

DH liked the letters although he did not gush over them...just said they were nice and he'd hang them on the door to his home office. Then we did errands and had lunch at Boston Market.

That's so cute that Rachel slipped that way and realized it and got embarassed, kids are so cute. I'm glad he liked the D-A-D b ut he should have gushed a little over it!

Hey everyone.

I've forgotten all week that I have my work computer with me. It is a crackberry type thing, so it is hard to type on it. We are about 50 miles iinto Va and I'm freezing my butt off. That 97 degree weather was nice and now we're spoiled.

I'm bored and trying to amuse myself. I think we're making the rest of the drive home tonight. Blah.

Now off to see what I missed. This computer isn't real fast and its kind of frustrating.

DD in Florida told me that the temp got to 101 degrees and felt like a 110 That hasn't happened since the 1960s

Well that is about what it has been every day here. When I got in my car today after work the temp read 115 degrees, so that was with the heat index, it was disgusting!

Actually, the first thing I did when I got in the house was shower. I felt like I had sand all over me and there was no way I was getting into bed like that. We probably didn't go to sleep until 6:00. And I was back up at 9 a.m. I just can't sleep when the light starts coming in my bedroom.

I have to get pictures off my camera. I can't believe you didn't give away the LL thing.

I know how it is Tat, I can't sleep once it's light out, I would have been up by 9 as well, plus if I were to sleep late I couldn't sleep that night so better to get up and suffer one day, lol.
