So cute! I just bought a Preparing for Kindergarten book and borrowed some from our local library, too. Rachel is getting into the worksheets and it's fun to do with her.

I can't believe she'll be going to K this fall ... :scared1:

You moms who have been through it, need to give me some advice. On one hand, I'm excited for her to learn more and start becoming independent, plus I'll get some more free time...but on the other hand, my little baby is growing up and I swear she was just a baby girl last year ...:sad2: In some ways I feel like I've lost the last year with her because so much has been about Elizabeth...

Ok, sniff, sniff, I'm gonna grab some tissues and stop crying just thinking about all this...must be a sentimental day for me...

Oh, this sounds like a great idea! Right now she'll read like half-way through a "Bob" book and I have to encourage her to finish the book. She likes to start them but not finish.

Thats so exciting Marshay.

Whatever you do, when u drop her off, don't let her see you cry.

You will adjust. It takes a few weeks, but you will

Plus so exciting to see what she brings home each day and what she is working on :goodvibes

Awesome!:thumbsup2

I think I would have killed him.

Saying a prayer for Elie

The kids can wear jerseys and jeans on Friday too :thumbsup2

Hahahahahaha :lmao:

Sounds like he is doing well. :thumbsup2

Hey Jamie

Yeah, Steve is such a jokester :rotfl:

Thank You. Trent is doing well. We are just trying to work on him being more independent in class

He seems to need extra reassurance before he does things like write sentencs on his own. Even though he is normally right, he likes okay from his teacher before he proceeds

But the teacher told me last week, he wrote a sentence for the first time all on his own and didnt look to her once. She was so proud, as was I

Wow, y'all had a chatty few days! I'm all caught up here and I've clicked in on the new thread and Michele's PTR (:woohoo:).

We had a fantastic weekend with our friends from NC! I've missed them so much and it was just absolute bliss to have them here for a few days. :cloud9:

Marsha, what did the doctor say about Elie's bump?

Oh I am glad you asked Marshay that. I meant to but it slipped my mind. I saw you on my thread. :goodvibes

5 more pages and we can lock this bad boy up

What are you all up to?

am watching Fairly OddParents with Trent.. good times :rotfl:

In beginning of year, guess about October, Trent class took a benchmark class to see where all the children are at academically.

Well, remember when I was telling you, Trent needs extra reassurance at times and needs to be more indepenent:3dglasses

Well, He apparently left a lot of it blank, so he got put on an alert list as an at risk student for Literary Arts

I spoke with his teacher and she told me not to worry, his score was only low because he left a lot of it blank.

He got recommended for after school tutoring program because of this.

She said he is doing fine and really doesn't need the tutoring for academic reasons, but thought it might help him with his indepedence.

She also told me his hour session will all be on a computer, which is right up his alley, so hoping this helps him. :surfweb:

He will be go twice a week, Mondays and Tuesday for one Hr.

He starts on Monday and will finish up on April 20th.

Fingers crossed this helps him :goodvibes

Oh it sounds like something he will have fun with, and it never hurts to get a little extra attention.

THanks Michele. I hope so.

I told him about and he seems excited since other kids will be there

Tell him how special he is to be invited to do this. Kids enjoy being special.

Oh wow, I can hardly wait. Hopefully there will be more good singers tonight than there were last night.

I love her! She's short like me! We are almost the same height as she comes in at 4'11".

I recently watched "The 12 Men of Christmas" that she starred in, on the Lifetime network. It was funny.

Kelly, I even know that one. Lol.

I know, I am so fired

Have to try and watch a video of something she has been in :goodvibes

I was kind of surprised that you didn't realize who she was.

My DS is having issues in school also. At this point, they are leaning toward recommending him for T-1 which is a grade between K and 1st. They don't think he is mature enough. It's not that he doesn't get the work--- he just isn't putting forth enough effort KWIM? So we have been working double time at home. He gets frustrated so easily.
