Yeah, I guess, normally I am excited. This year I am not. I don't know why but I have a bad case of the blues.

I'm sorry to hear you aren't excited this year ... me too. I'm not sure why either except that it's alot more work that I feel I don't have time to do.

I told my family we are not doing anything for Thanksgiving and I'm not sure if we'll host Xmas either.

Michelle and Marsha.... I just haven't gotten into the spirit either. I'm hoping disney will help. Yesterday I saw a Polar Express train for sale at Target and that gave me a little pang to watch it.... maybe that would help too.

Anybody shopping on Black Friday? I need a new artificial tree. Our's are pitiful. Last year I stuck one of them on the front porch as an outdoor decoration! I didn't even care if it got ruined. I'm wondering if I could get a good deal on Black Friday.

Hey, guys! We are back from Disney. Had a good time but it was definitely more difficult with 2 kids, one of which is forming her own opinions about things (i.e., tempers, whiny).

As you know, we were all fighting colds and fevers the few days before, so that certainly added to our feelings of frustration and lack of patience.

Anyway, I hope to upload some pics to my TR soon...still doing laundry and trying to find the bottom of my living room and bedroom floor.

Oh, and we took Elizabeth to the doctor today ... she got an ear infection while at Disney/on the plane sometime.

glad you are back. Sorry to hear about the troubles on your trip but glad to hear you had a good time regardless. Can't wait to see your pictures.

Hi Girls, How have you all been? I guess Kelly told you I have gone back to the previous century as I am on dial up now! We are living in the camper in a real remote area and you can't even get DSL here. Dial up I guess, is better than nothing, not much, lol, but somewhat better. I can't do a lot on here, can't download photos, can't do my farming on Farville and it's very frustrating. It took forever for DIS to even come up.

What is everyone doing for Thanksgiving? We are taking the camper back to Louisiana (thank God) and our friends from FL are coming up and we are taking the camper to the casino campground we used to always go to and spending the week there. We'll be cooking a full thanksgiving dinner in the camper and we are also meeting a few other couples there that we met at the campground before. I am really looking forward to it. Plus, if I get a chance to get online, they have DSL there,

Thanks Jamie, it's been a really tough time. I just can't figure out what I may have done at some point to deserve so much bad luck lately. I am praying that whatever it is, I will be forgiven and my luck will finally change for the better.

Never think it's something you did. If I thought that, I would have given up by now. I have had more bad things happen in the past year then you can imagine. Sometimes bad things happen to good people. Here's to a great 2010!

I can add to the not in the spirit of the holiday either theme. I was.....and then A Christmas Carol was a huge let down and then my Christmasy plans with the in-laws fell through this weekend. I was really looking fwd to it to. Two days before we are set to go see ICE in Nashville the in-laws cancel. Whatever. So I guess my weekend will consist of cleaning and packing. I'm hoping that Disney helps with my Christmas spirit.

I'm sorry you didn't like A Christmas Carol and your plans fell through. Honestly, it's been hard for me to get into the spirit but I am trying. I told the kids we would wrap some gifts tonight and watch a Christmasy movie. I saw Annie is coming on ABC family tonight though. I don't think they have ever seen that.

I think Disney will definitely help... oh just wait until you see the castle all lit up!!! It is absolutely breathtaking. Pictures do not do it justice!

I used to do black Friday when the kids were little. The sales are really great for younger kids. Now I just shop any time. The girls at least picked out things to be ordered online. That is an interesting concept, shop and never leave home. With my mood that might just work.

For about 12 years or so my sisters, mom and I always went shopping together on either black friday or saturday. We'd spend a whole day from the crack of dawn to closing time. It was always so much fun. We haven't done it since I moved away.

I just found out that ICE! is showing at the Gaylord National which is only like 45 minutes from our house. We are now hosting Christmas and my parents and us are going to see this 12/27!! Woo Hoo!!
