I am really surprised they are telling the boys to get the nasal vaccine. We were told if anyone in house has asthma, not get the mist. Everyone to get the shot

I went home from work...was too exhausted to function

I went to walgreen take care clinic just to make sure was not getting sick again. Chest and lungs were clear. only small fever 99.1 I am at the tail end of the seasonal flu,

She said my body is just tired and needs rest, as flu takes a lot out of a person.

Now poor steve is sick

As for the flu mist... no one ever told us that if anyone had asthma in the house to not get it. The boys have always gotten the mist and then Abby gets the shot. She is usually right in the room with them when they get it too!

Well anyway, Evan called me an hour ago and said they ran out of the nasal spray and that he was going to get the shot. I said, "Are you okay with that?" and he said that he was! My babies are all growing up! Owen didn't call me so I don't know if his class went down for it yet or not.

I hope you, Abby and Tom don't get the virus from the the boys. They are lucky their school got it in. It seems you can't get it anywhere around here and so far Kely can't get it for Trent. I can't even get the seasonal allergy shots here, no one can get the vaccine!

Thanks for the good wishes about the doggies. I am about to post an update on Beau and its good news, thank God and everyone who prayed for him!

And I didn't see your post about Beau when I posted yesterday. I think we may have posted at the same time. Anyway, I read it and was so worried! But then I read your update and I'm so glad he is doing better.

My yellow lab Cooper took Rimadyl for awhile before we ultimately had to put him down and it tore up his stomach too. I think it rushed us into having to make that awful decision earlier too. And it didn't even really help his pain from arthritis that much. It's a nasty medication.... if people were having that kind of problem with it the FDA would stop production of it right down!

Well off to do some work, the little that I have. Afterall, here they consider me a major moron as they are now just giving me the gopher crap work, hired a new girl and are giving her a nice office of her own, decorated it for her with pictures on wall and teaching her thoroughly unlike me when they just threw everything at me and said this is how you do t his, this is how you do that, everyone of these will be different, you can't do this or that with this one, etc. Then I was totally confused and had to keep asking questions but I'd rather ask than do something wrong and they acted like it was an inconvenience that I was asking. So when I made a few mistakes due to lack of training, they took those duties away and kept medoing the poop work. Now rather than train me properly, they hire someone new to do the interesting work that you need to use your brain with and they are training her like crazy, very thoroughly as I can hear them. I've heard them tell her things they've still never explained to me. I am so furious not to mention hurt. I wish the economy would improve and I could just wak out and get another job. I just hate it here anymore.

Hiya Nicole. I will pray that no one catches h1n1 from the boys when they get their vaccine tomorrow. I know it's hard to be sick when you have asthma. Especially with the flu. Chris tried to get it over the weekend but they wouldn't give it to him. You would think in his line of work they would want those guys to have it. But nnnoooooooooooo. *sigh* I can't find anywhere with the stinkin' vaccine either. So I guess I'm screwed. I just plan on drinking Emergn-C before I get on the plane in November for Thanksgiving and crossing my fingers that I don't happen to catch something being re-circulated in the air.

Ooh good idea on the Emergen-C. They make a pink lemonade flavor now...I got a sample in the mail! I just haven't tried it yet.

QM -- soooo glad to hear this news that Beau is showing signs of improvement. Let's pray that it continues.

As for the vet, I suppose if you really wanted to, you can sue just about anyone in small claims court or even higher. All it takes is a lawyer and a judge that won't throw out your case.

However, it'll cost you money and time and only you can decide if it's worth it to you.

Instead you might want to do any of the following -- contact the Better Business Bureau on-line and write a complaint; write a letter to the editor of the local newspaper; find out if others have issued complaints against this vet (you might want to ask your vet informally if he know whether others have been dissatisfied with that ER vet), if so, then contact the newspaper or local radio and tv stations ... they could do an expose.

However, all of those above things involve a lot of time and money and you would be the only one fighting for your case. As your vet said, they are all in the same professional circles and rarely like to get involved in disparaging other vets, for fear that one day it may be them. Also, it would be hard to actually "prove" anything ... you are working with "what ifs"...

This might just be a case where you know that God will deal with that vet one day (if the vet was being malicious or spiteful, etc)...

I'm sorry to hear about Cooper and you are right, I bet it did make you have to put him down sooner. I wish the FDA would get involved and shut them down with that drug. At least don't let Vets who don't seem to care or have any knowledge prescribe them. I truly believe that is what caused his kidney failure and other stomach problems.

I honesty don't know what her title is but she does mostly the Accts Receivables and invoicing. I don't even know what my title is. Right now I believe it is "head gopher!"

My doctor's office got the seasonal flu shots in on Friday afternoon. I have an appt to go get my shot Wednesday morning. So now don't have to go to Walgreen's for $24.95, can go for my regular co-payment of $15.00,

Guess what, in 2010 which is not that far away, but two of my high tier prescriptions have now gone to generic and I can get them for $10.00 for 90 days instead of $65.00! Finally a break.

I am trying Marsha. Believe me it is tough but on Friday the new girl and I did some chatting and she is not sure she's even going to stay. Not that it does me any good as if they treated me that way before why would they change? Anyway there is an excellent job in today's paper but it is a full time "temp" job which works for me. I am hoping that the fact that it is a temp thing a lot of others won't apply as they may want full time permanent. The only problem is that you have to apply in person and I can't get time off. Am thinking Wednesday when I go to the doctor for my flu shot can stop there and drop my resume. Then if they call me I'll conveniently have a doctor's appt. LOL!

I didn't want to make the decision to put him down but if they told me he was not going to get any better I would have had to. I'm so thankful that it didn't come to that. I just want him to get better, be able to go back to his normal food and totallly be himself again. He's a lot better, more active but not yet back to normal.

Cheap flights Dec-Feb(with some dates blacked out)...under 375 miles is only $25! Then $50 for 375 to 549, then $75 for under 1000 miles, and anything 1000 or over will be $100. This is not for every location but there are a lot of airports listed. (Unfortunately for Carla, Atlanta was not one of them and her flight would have been $50 ROUND TRIP if she could get Chris to fly!)

Mike and I might schedule a flight to Cleveland for $50 each way and go to Cedar Point in Jan or Feb! We've been wanting to go and you just can't beat that deal!

I also saw that you updated that you couldn't find tickets. Remember...this is up north...by the lake...I don't think Cedar Point is up and running in January and February. Will have to check on that.

We've been sitting in the ER for over 5 hours. It's Shannon this time. Don't really know whats wrong and they can't get their act together with the Dr.s On how much fluid and contrast he can have. He's a DIALYSIS patient people. He has no URINE OUTPUT. SO if you are putting fluid IN and he can't have Dialysis right now WHERE is the FLUID supposed to go???????? GET A CLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And just run the STUPID scope!!!!

with Betsy ~ Fraiser has been having seizures. They almost lost him but he is on lots of medications trying to get the seizures to stop and is doing better.

Karen ~ Beau (her doggy) has been very sick. They believe that the ER Vet put him on some bad meds after he had a seizure that made his kidneys fail and he stopped eating but her regular vet got him better and he is improving and back home.

Nikki ~ has new dr's. They are trying to fix what the quack messed up. She had another surgery a few weeks ago and had major issues with some fluid coming out of her incision and coming out of her back but they finally got her all stitched up the right way and on to recovery. She is supposed to get her stitches out today and she has filed for short term disability.

Nicole ~ Tomato got a new job and they are now living in Florida. Kids have been sick off and on quite a bit with school starting but other than that they seem to be good.

Oh and one more

Jamie ~ they found out that her house was built with some not so good sheet rock (creates health issues, was outlawed). So now her family is involved in a huge law suite over it as well as many other families in her area.

Other than that I can't really think of anything. Sorry if I missed something.
