Ok I quoted Cheri but it's not here but Cheri....we watched Powder Blue a couple of weekends ago. Very strange indeed. Chris and I came to the conclusion that the director of Powder Blue is trying a little too hard to be like P.T. Anderson (and failing miserably might I add). And if you don't know who that is he's the one that directed Boogie Nights, Magnolia, Punch Drunk Love and There Will Be Blood (one of my favorite directors of all times).

Awww well hopefully that will stop soon for you. I know being out in the heat like that really gets to me too. I usually feel "off" for a couple of days after our swimming adventures here lately. It's just not fair to have to feel like that. Blah!

And major bummer on having to work on Friday! Are you at least getting Holiday pay?

Good morning everyone!! I just learned that I have Friday off for the holiday so it's already a good start to the Monday morning for me! I just wish I had plans for the holiday weekend. I asked Chris if he wanted me to find somewhere to go for some fire works and he said no. He hates crowds.....what a fuddy duddy

That's okay Sorry to hear you don't get Friday or Monday off. Do you at least get time and a half? I mean by law you are supposed to either get a paid day off in observance of the holiday or time and a half for when you work. This is a nationally required holiday. I hope your boss knows that.

Hey Carla! I forgot --- I have to check with Fedex, but I think we are off too.

Stomach was rumbling all night last night. I don't know if I was sick yesterday because of the heat after all. Might have been something I ate Weird. Feeling a little better this morning though. Just tired. Going to test it out with some coffee.

Oh I hope you have off, you probably do, most people have off except for me of course. I am taking it though so will lose 8 hours pay but I am not working a holiday.

Hey I need all ya'lls opinion. I started this job 3 weeks ago, I'm not so fond of it, the pay is very low and the mileage too and from is 32 each way so I'm using a lot of gas for a little money for a job I don't care for. I saw a job in the paper I'd like and I feel guilty for quiting if i get a new job which is closer and pays more. The people here are really nice and very good to me otherwise. However, I am still up ini the air what I am doing as if I a moving with Bryan to MS, if I am staying here and he's going to MS and I hate to start another new job and end up having to quit in August if I do go with him. You see the job I saw that I liked was at my old place and I loved it there. I became friends with the boss and a lot of the other workers so am not sure it would be fair to lie to them that oh yea I am staying here and then not. What do you think?

guess what....RAIN!!!!

But I just ran outside in between spurts to get my umbrella from the car, and it is STILL SO HOT! It wasn't even raining at the time and my skin immediately felt moist. That's how HUMID it is!

Jamie, did y'all get the rain yet?

We got a ton of rain yesterday, it was raining and windy and thundering and lightning so bad. It rained really heavy for a good hour and then it tapered off and was a light rain for a while longer. We got a good soaking and we sure did need it. I hope you all eventually got it!
