or better yet, grumpy55, place the poster on your Ignore list until after the election. It makes for a much atmosphere here on the KERRY SUPPORTERS ONLY thread. ::yes:: :D

man...sure did not take long...why are you here trying to stir up trouble may I ask? Is it really impossible for you to grasp the notion that we want a place where we can discuss how we feel without arguing incessantly. That this thread has brought out dozens of Kerry supporters who have something to say, but have been too timid to post where they know they will get attacked. Certainly we have little interest in discussing things with a poster who will stoop to calling Max Cleland names.

oops sorry crazyfor goofy, ignore feature activated. Thanks for the advice.

4 MORE DAYS! 4 MORE DAYS! 4 MORE DAYS! 4 MORE DAYS! 4 MORE DAYS! 4 MORE DAYS!

How about that Haliburton development everyone? Seems like Cheney is as big of liar as georgie. Anyone surprised? Will any republicans care? LOL!

Interesting term "internationalist"...here's another one "globalization." Seems that Republicans like the second term because of the capitalist gain, reaching beyond national borders to suck up as much revenue as possible while leaving those cultural landscapes in ruin. But "internationalist," on the other hand, is a dirty word for people who like to think of the social global consequences of nationally motivated actions. Anyone here think there might be a link between these two terms, and a hole in the Republican's rhetoric? Did I just paint myself a "leftie" alongside PG, LoraJ, and others?

Hello from NJ everyone! We were out and about today and did a "sign" count. Way more Kerry/Edwards than the other kind. Lots of bumper stickers too!

Thanks for all the great links and stories...took a while to catch up.

If so you're in fine company. Congratulations. I'd like to think there's a chair with my name on it at the "far left" hand side of that table. ::yes:: :wave2: Pass the brownies please. :teeth:

I saw some odd signs (at least I thought they were odd) in Ft. Pierce, FL yesterday, they said "Do You Really Want John Edwards Just One Heartbeat From The Whitehouse?" and I was thinking 'could this be real?' I mean Edwards has really done very little than anyone could be really scared of..Especially when put along side of Dick and you really have to laugh...
:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

I just got an awesome visual of that dinner party. Don't you know we'd have a blast!!! I particularly enjoy the thought of starting with dessert- more brownies, pronto!

Here's my yesterday story. I ran to two daycares, one about 45 minutes away, to pick up my Republican friend's kids, because she was on a trip and wouldn't make it back on time. When I dropped the kids at home, my friend was not there and her mom was. I said that I had better get home, as my husband had been working on the campaign and was exhausted.

Well, the woman went on and on about "evil" John Kerry, how she thought he might sprout horns, and he's the devil. I was trying to be polite, saying stuff like, "Oh, we see things so differently, we will never agree." Well, this woman would not shut up, and had such lovely opinions as "Kerry's an idiot" and "Bush won the debates." I finally, just left in mid-sentence, after hugging the kids goodbye.

Now, I have to see this monster at a soccer game today and a birthday party tomorrow. How in heaven's name will I hold my tongue that whole time for the sake of the kids?

On a nicer note, I ran errands with my son this morning, and we beeped and waved at all the homes and cars with Kerry/Edwards signs. Yeah!!!!

I've gotten some odd looks from people when I honk at the bumper stickers/signs on their cars. I think at first they think I'm giving them a different sort of greeting:eek: but I always smile and flash a victory sign rather than a one fingered salute.

Hi!!

I just found this thread!! Here's another Kerry supporter in Texas (no Bush does not hold this state as tightly as he would like to think). I will be joining in the collective sigh of relief that will be heard around the world when the "evil doers" are out of office.

Always interesting to see how a republican's mind works isn't it?

Oh yeah!

In a related topic, in the Florida Senate Race:

Betty Castor (Democrat) 46.6%
Mel Martinez (Republican) 43.5%

A statistical dead heat, but I'm sure anyone would rather be on the 46.6% side than the 43.5% side.

I think we could all learn a lot from my daughter and her two friends.

my dd has a friend at school, the other girl's father is our congressman. dd and her friend also go to the same camp.over the summer, the camp went to washington, DC, and the congressman gave the group an insider's tour of the Capitol. I was discussing the trip with the mother of one of the campers, a girl who is friends with both my dd and the congressman's dd, and I discovered that the third girl's father is running for congress. yes, the congressman's daughter and his opponent's daughter go to camp together, they've been friends for several years, and the fact that their fathers are on opposite sides of the political fence never became an issue -- it wasn't even discussed until the Washington trip came up.

Some of my favorite Lounge Lizards' hits are: Jesus Loves Me but He Can't Stand You and Shallow End of the Gene Pool. But there are SO many others.:teeth:

It was just a recording, but I don't care it was still pretty cool. He said that we all need to excercise our right to vote and to please vote democratic. I said "you've got it Mr. President." The funny part about it all is I just got home from doing volunteer phone banking. It makes me feel pretty good to encourage people to vote for a newer stronger America:) .
