...Apparently, her doctor found out about this and is trying to get her to vote Republican! That's how crazy this election is. She's giving her the scare tactics about lawsuits and how her favorite doctors will leave the profession because they can't afford the insurance due to people like John Edwards. My grandma loves her doctor and she was considering switching to Bush. That is until I reminded her of what W has done to the state of public education in this country. ...

Tinkbell--Don't let the Doc scare your grandma. Kerry/Edwards are in favor of getting rid of frivolous lawsuits and have a better plan for insurance overall. What's a doctor doing trying to convince patients how to vote?? I find that inexcusable behavior. I would ask the doctor to stop campaigning and if she doesn't, talk to a hospital administrator. Patients need to feel their medical care will not be influenced by their party affiliation.

Good Morning fellow kerrytowners!! A big welcome to the newcomers!!. How many of you have voted already?

And BTW... this thread is fast! I took me 30+ minutes to catch up. Thanks for all the links and jokes that help keep this thread going.

Hey everyone! I thought I should join in on this thread since I'm obviously a Kerry supporter. I already voted for Kerry last week and I think my whole college basically did too. Everyday we've had people out campaigning for Kerry and I've seen a lot of people come by the stands set out. No one went to the stand for Bush supporters. Maybe because it was of the scary cardboard cutout of Bush.

Just remember folks, the wonderful wisdom of George W. Bush:

"The most important job is not to be governor, or first lady in my case"
:earseek: George! I never knew such a thing!

"Now, there are some who would like to rewrite history- revisionist historians is what I like to call them."
 Say What?!

"Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning?"
:jester: Yeah, I agree W. I don't think that question is asked very much either.

"I know what I believe, I will continue to articulate what I believe and what I believe-I believe what I believe is right."
:scratchin W, ya lost me.

"If this were a dictorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator."
:scared1:

"If the terrier and bariffs are torn down, this economy will grow."
:rotfl: You mean tariffs and barriers?

"I know how hard it is for you to put food on your family."
:drinking1 It was difficult putting that pork chop on my mother's head...

"I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully."
:love2: Wow, now that's what I call love W.

"We need an energy bill that encourages consumption."
 That's a new one to me.

"It is not Reaganesque to support a tax plan that is Clinton in nature."
 Riiighht...

"But if you've been laid off work, you're 100 percent unemployed, and I worry about it."
 What a revelation!

"I have said that the sanction regime is like Swiss cheese-that meant they weren'tvery effective."
:jester: Swiss cheese? Sanction Regime?.....

"Neither in French nor in English nor in Mexican."
 Apparently, my family speaks Mexican now.

Thanks MinnieM21! They make me laugh (and cringe) every stinking time I read/hear them!:p

Here's a bushisim from debate #3 (and I've not heard anyone mention it yet). When responding to a question about gay marriage bush said "I proposed a constitutional amendment. The reason I did so was because I was worried that activist judges are actually defining the definition of marriage,..." Huh? defining the definition? I know this is a relatively minor isim but still it was during the debate when he was trying to impress someone...:teeth:

pirate:

I voted a couple of weeks ago! (Mail in absentee, will be out of town Nov 2nd)

MinnieM21:

WishingStar: Four more days and... you'll be on vacation!!!

ByTheSea: Great!! every vote counts!

Hopefully this election will be over soon, and the winner (K or W) will work with in the best interest for the people.

every vote counts!

since I live in a state where my vote is only a third of a vote in other states (due to electoral college) I can't afford to miss one.

On 11/3 (the original question of this thread) WE are going to DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We both voted early as Colorado is going to be contested and every vote is critical. I just hope all the college students vote on Tuesday if they haven't already as Kerry will surely win Colorado if they do!

This election is about to blow the top of my DH's head off, so I told him months ago that we were leaving for WDW early on 11/3.

We plan to celebrate with a drink somewhere in DTD.

I was just in the other room getting dressed and found myself singing...."I long to be beside the sea la la la la"...I stopped short for a minute and wondered " now what on earth put that old song in my heard?" Your evocative name is going to have me singing all day :D

Good morning my fellow Kerry supporters. It's sunny and bright here this morning. Lots of leaves to rake and a campaign rally to attend! Then its home to carve the jack o lantern. I love late October especially in a Presidential campaign year.

James Roosevelt, Jr has something to say about George Bush being compared to his grandfather, FDR.

Here's a bit of it:

A War President isn't self-proclaimed. A president becomes a true War President by leadership that inspires followers at home and abroad. And most importantly, a War President never loses sight of the goals of true peace with honor.

For Bush to grant himself this title is an insult to my grandfather and the inspired leaders who led this country in wars that were just. To put it simply, George W. Bush has not earned the right to be called a War President.

Don't you ever wonder what it's like to be so self-admiring. It seems as if every one that he compares himself with says no thank you to that sinking boat.
