???for iTunes users

I have a $15 iTunes card and have used all but $3 of it. All of the songs that I have downloaded were only on my hard drive and yesterday my hd became a mess. I could not access the web or even get into XP. I have lost the music I bought. I have sent iTunes an email about this. Will they be able to "resend" me the music I have purchased? Will they credit me the $ on the card and allow me to re-purchase the music I lost??

If I remember correctly, they've got it written somewhere that you buy the music & store it at your own risk. Thus why I have my purchased music backed up on 3 different computers!

It stinks, and that's the one reason why my DH has been so against using iTunes himself. You'd think they'd have records of your purchases & could allow you to re-download the songs.

I'm sorry that's happened to you; I just had my computer crash recently as well.

My kids have gotten songs again when there have been problems on our end. My DD's iPod crashed and she lost her songs and they gave them to her again. Not sure if she called them or did it via e-mail.
