I was on the Wonder in Jan and will be again next week.
My question is does anyone know how much stronger the sun is in Sept than is Jan?
I went snorkeling on one day and was in the water all day at CC with no problem.
How much stronger is the sun this time of year?
I have a great base tan from the tanning bed just like I did in Jan.
But I would hate to go out in the sun this time thinking it's like last time and get burned. No I don't want to use suncreen if I don't have to, I want to come back DARK,DARK,DARK, just not red.

USE SUNSCREEN!!! :) The tropical sun is WAY stronger than here and if you don't use sunscreen you will be one cooked lobster. :)

You can STILL tan with sunscreen, don't worry.

Enjoy!!! :sunny:

Everybody's skin is different, except for one thing: We ALL need sunscreen!

If you have a base tan and don't burn easily, use about an SPF 6 and you'll still tan nicely but for heaven's sake DON'T go out there with none on!!

The only person benefitting by you going out with no sunscreen will be your oncologist. :( Please protect yourself.

We went in September and about an hour of snorkling at St Thomas and an hour at Castaway Cay had both my husband and I turned bright red. Didn't feel too good either :)

you guys convinced me. I'm going to use suncreen, but the lowest SPF I can find. My dad who is real white will be using 45, keep that away from me I'll go with 5,6,7 maybe up to ten.

Doing a happy dance because I'm leaving in 3 days for MCO!!!
