Which DVC is the most beautiful at Christmas time? Or is there another reason you prefer a certain DVC at Christmas time? We're first timers and will go at Christmas 08........(Will stay at SSR in June of 08 beforehand.)

We have stayed at the BCV, BWV and VWL at Christmas and while we love the BWV, there is no doubt in our minds that the VWL truly has a special Christmas feel to them. All of them are beautiful.
We stayed at VWL & it definitely was the more "Christmasy" feeling if that is what you are looking for. Definitely take tours of the lobby....the BWV has an amazing display as does BCV HOWEVER, to me it is still a summer type feeling place. Make sense? Go see GF LOBBY it too is AMAZING. Maybe try & plan some meals at resorts so you can experience their offerings.
I've gotta agree with Boardwalk. Although it's not my favorite resort, there's nothing as beautiful to me at Christmas, especially the Poinsetta tree outside on Village Green. And if you can get a Boardwalk view to see all the light poles wrapped in garland, listen to what I think is Manheim Steamroller Christmas music, see the ornament-laden garland in the lobby-it's all so Christmassy.
Our favorites are the WL, (and VWL's lobby as well) and the BW, but we always walk around the BW area to see BC's, YC's and then the Swan and Dolphin's displays.
The Gingerbread house at GF is marvelous and we enjoy the roasted chestnuts that they give away...you have to enter from the lobby by the antique cars to get them.
We do a "resort lobby tour" during the holiday season just to see how they decorate them in different themes. I agree with previous posters about the WL lobby being spectacular, and I also echo the GF lobby comments. Neither should be missed.
I'd love to hear from anyone who has seen AKL over the holiday season... it's the only one we haven't seen during that time of year.
