For experienced AKL and SSR'ers

I am planning my 6/20 - 6/25 trip. Kind of an add on trip because we were doing an all-inclusive and were flying out of Orlando and our return trip has us back to Orlando... and I thought.... what the heck, let's do Disney again!

Celebrating my boys birthdays, turning 6 and 10. Could not get the whole week at AKL so, we are staying @ AK (Jambo house value studio) 6/20 - 6/22 and SSR 6/22 - 6/25. I really don't have the points for a Savanna view, but we would love it I am sure. I am waitlisted for AKL 6/22 - 6/25.

We've owned DVC for about 1.5 years now and recently just completed our first WDW stay at OKW 3/23-3/28. Had a great time but only spent about 4 hours at the hotel besides sleeping, LOL. When we first joined, we went to Vero and loved it as well.

What I would like to know is, anything you think I should do at these 2 resorts. We are taking it more low key this time since we hit the parks hard in March and we are returning in November with my parents who have not been to Disney in 25 years.

So, please fire away. My boys love pools, animals, everything. Any specific studio rooms you would recommend at either, activities, etc.

We LOVED AKV. There are fun arts and crafts for the kids to do. I would def take advantage of Simba's Club and go out at night by yourself one night.
The Animal Kingdom Resort has so much to do and see. It is just a nice atmosphere and feeling to it.

As for SSR, we honestly spent very little time at the resort when we were there. My daughter had a really fun time at the smaller pool with the water play area.

At AKV there are daily activites that your boys are sure to enjoy. There are also some more adult activities, such as a tour of the lobby(explaining the art work, etc.), and a culinary tour in the afternoon where you get to sample a few little things. All the activities are posted on a board in the lobby by the Bell Hop desk. Most are free but there are a few that have a fee. Dh and I really enjoy just roaming down the hallways and looking at the artwork that is displayed at each of the elevator landings.
