I don't know about the Right Wing crying foul for all to hear... I'm sure if the election had gone the other way there would be people howling and crying foul too. Wait, it happened the past two elections in a row, and what was that whole chad thing in Florida all about anyhow? People are going to disagree. That's life.

I don't agree with every single thing Bush did, but again it is a lot easier to criticise than it is to make the decisions. I sure wouldn't want to be in the position to have to make the decisions he was faced with. Doesn't mean I have to agree with his decisions to feel that he did what he thought was best.

As for Bush, he didn't have the best of luck, however, his handling of the situations have been entirely lacking. Torture? This country shouldn't be torturing, sorry. Wire tapping even Service members and their family's??? Really? This is the America we want to be, I'm sorry, but that all sounds pretty un-American to me. Maybe you never personally called people un-American on this board, or IRL, but it's gone on for years should you question one hair about what's been going on. And now here we are, the Republican's lost, particularly the Right Wing and they are quite literally crying foul for all the world to hear. So to them I say, GET OVER IT.

What inuendos, smears and lies? That Obama has questionable relationships? Those are the facts. We do not torture and as for "wiretapping service members calls from a WAR ZONE to their families? That is called security. DH called me numerous times from a sat. phone from a war zone. It is reasonable to expect that those calls may be monitored. Why is that un-American? During WWII, letters were hand screened and sentences redacted. That is security in a war zone.

We could not point out the flaws in our Country or President. If we did, we were seen as Anti-American by the current Administration and his minions.

I find it fascinating that the people who fell straight in line do nothing but bash the 44th President before he has even taken office. Which Country exactly do you put first?

For all of you asking innocent questions, go read the platform.

For all of you with a Right Wing philosophy, get over yourselves, you lost, why don't you show just a little respect to the majority who voted for our President Elect.

This is one of the few boards where people of opposing viewpoints actually come together to voice their opinions. True political websites are split along party and ideological lines, if they don't agree with your point of view you get banned within minutes. It's nothing personal, they just learned long ago what an absolute waste of time and bandwidth it was. Nobody is going to change anyone's mind and they have better things to do with their time than waste it on bickering, so out you go. At least here you get a glimpse of how the other side thinks, but it's good for nothing but entertainment value.

All I've seen the past years has been Bush bashing!
Face it, EVERY President gets trashed. Obama should get the same treatment
as all the other Presidents.
We have 2 parties in US with different ideas and beliefs. Of course people are going to disagree.

Let me speak for you when I say, the bashing of the President Elect ought to STOP. We didn't bash Bush for 8 years with such hostility. We didn't go into thrashing mode when our Democratic nominees lost, yet, here we are.

Guess what, with a doubled deficit to 11 trillion dollars, 2 wars, and a stock market that is lower than when the anointed President took office 8 years ago, with jobless claims the highest they have been since 1984, well, I can certainly see how the last 8 conservative years have worked oh so well.

Are you seriously telling me that the Dis Democrats would have shown any respect to McCain if he had won? That's laughable. It doesn't matter who would have won. The other side would have been disappointed and critical of the ideals and policies of the President-elect. It wan't a landslide win. If you look at the popular vote, a large number of America wanted McCain. Of course they are going to dislike what BO wants to do.

ITA. I'm pretty flabergasted that someone who was here 8 years ago would post this. Definitely rewriting history! I remember what 8 years ago was like here. It was awful and the bashing was pretty unavoidable. I think things are pretty mild right now.
