My favorite post(s) are the one where people act as if they have superior intelligence or as if they are an expert, yet their always wrong.

Let me speak for you when I say, the bashing of the President Elect ought to STOP. We didn't bash Bush for 8 years with such hostility. We didn't go into thrashing mode when our Democratic nominees lost, yet, here we are.

People call Bush the worst president ever because they haven't studied history and their memories are short.

He's not going to make the "top ten", but he also hasn't done anything to top Richard Nixon or Jimmy Carter -- and that's just in my own lifetime. The world handed Bush some difficulties that would've stumped any other president. Personally, I think Bill Clinton is the worst president we've had in recent years.

We could not point out the flaws in our Country or President. If we did, we were seen as Anti-American by the current Administration and his minions.

I find it fascinating that the people who fell straight in line do nothing but bash the 44th President before he has even taken office. Which Country exactly do you put first?

For all of you asking innocent questions, go read the platform.

For all of you with a Right Wing philosophy, get over yourselves, you lost, why don't you show just a little respect to the majority who voted for our President Elect.

And the current administration, or Bush himself, didn't give a flip that I'm here in Texas bashing him.

I do have to say, as someone who hasn't been a Bush fan and who didn't join any political thread until this election, I've noticed plenty of Bush bashing on the DIS. I think it just seems different now for you because it's your guy that's getting the bashing. Since you don't like Bush, reading anything negative about Bush didn't stike you in the same way as it does when you read negative posts about Obama.

That's what I always thought. He was President less then 8 months when our world changed.
No matter how much Bush is hated, I think it's too early to say he's the worst.

I remember the Carter years and feel he's been the worst president in my lifetime.

Bashing is always going to happen to a president. However, doesn't anyone else find the OP thinking no one bashed Bush prior to his inauguration downright weird? There are people who still say Bush "stole" that election and have refused to even call him their president. I find it amazing that there's anyone who was old enough to be on the DIS at that time that doesn't remember the upset.

I'd still say this was a troll if it wasn't a long time poster. It's just so absurd that anyone thinks the Bush/Gore election was less fussed about than the Obama/McCain election - on the DIS or anywhere else.

We have an OS on this message board that has refused to even live in the United States while Bush is president. That's how much he hates the man. I'm assuming that he'll be returning to the US at some point in the future now that Obama is elected?

Hell, I bashed him daily, and I"m in the military.

A little advice for those who don't remember the Clinton years. . .thicken your skin, Obama is going to be the butt of every comedian and Republican (and some Democrats)in the country.
