they are quite literally crying foul for all the world to hear. So to them I say, GET OVER IT.
Oh - now I get it! The OP is being ironic and goofing on the reaction 8 years ago? Her signature threw me.

they are quite literally crying foul for all the world to hear. So to them I say, GET OVER IT.

You've got to be kidding me, Bush has been bashed more than any president in my life time.
Well, you have to admit, he's earned it.
I mean, they don't call him The Worse President Ever because he's done anything good, now do they?
Who is this "some crackpot" that you speak of?
I know it can't be Al Franken because he doesn't like Bush .

ITA. I'm pretty flabergasted that someone who was here 8 years ago would post this. Definitely rewriting history! I remember what 8 years ago was like here. It was awful and the bashing was pretty unavoidable. I think things are pretty mild right now.
Let me speak for you when I say, the bashing of the President Elect ought to STOP. We didn't bash Bush for 8 years with such hostility.

OMG!!!!!![]()
Thanks for the laugh!!!!
If you can post that statement with a straight face, then where the hell have you been for the last few years!!!!
And, just what do you call the entire remainder of your post that I just quoted from above if not completely HOSTILE BASHING!!! (go back and re-read your words....)
What do you call the fact that you began such a hostile and argumentative thread in order to raise emotional ire???
I am no big Bush supporter... I think I speak for myself and for many when I say...
Gimme a break.... Give all of us a break.
Look, Chris1gill,
People have different beliefs and viewpoints.. whomever is in charge, there are those who will disagree. That is the wonderful beauty of our system of government.
As they say, Chris1gill.... If you can't take the heat, then get out of the kitchen.
You may realize that you and I are two of those people who are on entirely different ends of the spectrum... Completely opposit in many of our beliefs and priorities and viewpoints... I can say that I have very very rarely found much that I can agree with you on threads of many different issues. (not just the presidential posts...) Hey, That's life...
Your man won... You can quit the whinin' and bichin' and negative attacks now...

First of all, expressing yourself when you oppose the President isn't being anti-patriotic. Saying that "he should have done more (bombing)", or "God Damn America", those are unpatriotic. It depends on how it's done.We could not point out the flaws in our Country or President. If we did, we were seen as Anti-American by the current Administration and his minions.
I find it fascinating that the people who fell straight in line do nothing but bash the 44th President before he has even taken office. Which Country exactly do you put first?
For all of you asking innocent questions, go read the platform.
For all of you with a Right Wing philosophy, get over yourselves, you lost, why don't you show just a little respect to the majority who voted for our President Elect.
For all you conservatives who do not agree with the President Elect based on your own research and not what some crackpot has told you, we can certainly respect your choice.

I can't believe it took 9 posts for someone to say this! People have been absolutely hateful to Bush. While I am really neither a Bush supporter nor detractor, there's no way he's guilty of all the things people say about him, and lots of people seem to have been snoozing through high school Civics class. People have been incredibly disrespectful to him personally AND to the presidential office. Personally, I think the personal insults have increased because people feel more secure in being overly harsh on the anonymous internet. You've got to be kidding me, Bush has been bashed more than any president in my life time.
No, the most powerful person in Washington is the Chairman of the Federal Reserve.besides there is no need th bash Obama...he's not even going to be the most powerful person in Washington...that wil be Nancy Pelosi.
I don't think the president SHOULD be trashed, but Obama's GOING TO BE trashed just like Bush has been -- perhaps more so because he's facing some serious difficulties, and too many people believe that he president has more authority than he actually has; for example, he can't really do all that much about the economy.Face it, EVERY President gets trashed. Obama should get the same treatment as all the other Presidents.
We didn't bash Bush for 8 years with such hostility.

That's true. The majority spoke loudly and clearly.
Well, you have to admit, he's earned it.
I mean, they don't call him The Worse President Ever because he's done anything good, now do they?
We are lucky to have such astute political insight on this board. Maybe Bush can hire a few of the folks here to go on record to help him change his public image, they certainly seem very sure of themselves.I'm not sure how 'loud and clear' 52% of the popular vote is. He won my state by only .97%. I do give him credit. After spending three quarters of a billion dollars on his campaign, at least he won.
We didn't bash Bush for 8 years with such hostility. We didn't go into thrashing mode when our Democratic nominees lost, yet, here we are.

You've got to be kidding me, Bush has been bashed more than any president in my life time.
I know. I (and many others on these boards) spent my money well.
He was the first Presidentail candidate I ever contributed to...My son also.
Worth every dime!

Yep! It was the first campaign I've ever donated too. I wanted him to win so badly that I wanted to do my part for his campaign.I know. I (and many others on these boards) spent my money well.
