For Croc Wearers: Socks or Not? What Kinds?

I was sure I'd never wear Crocs...now that I have a pair I'm living in them. Going to WDW in 2 weeks and planning on wearing the Crocs to the parks...however I can't wear them without socks.

For those of you who wear socks, what kind? Ankle length, shorties, below the ankle?

I'm sure I'll look foolish regardless, just wondering what the rest of you do.

I know lots of people that HAVE to wear them with socks...me included. I wear thin "no-shows" with mine. You can't really see the sock at all and it doesn't look doofy. If I don't wear socks and walk for any length of time, my feet get sweaty(in hot weather) and I inevitably get blisters. I NEVER wear my Crocs to the parks, as I have my super comfy NIKE flip flops. Here at home I almost always wear no shows with my Crocs....much more comfy. Also, I may be a weird one, but I didn't totally buy Crocs for the comfort. I actually think they're cute....and they certainly are NOT the most comfy pair of shoes I own(I have 2 pairs of Crocs).

I wear my Crocs for work (I work in health care, am on my feet alot, and they save me) and sometimes when shopping, lounging, hanging out etc. I always wear socks when at work with them, and since my scrub pants cover the sock line I don't worry about appearing goofy ... When out and about, its no socks with the Crocs.

I wear the "no show" socks with them (when I wear socks). I bought the same kind for my sons too. I bought the shortest ones I could find. Just picked up a pack at Walmart this week and some at TJ Maxx.

Some of the "no show" kind don't have enough stretch in them and slip off your heel. You may have to try a few brands to see which ones fit you best.

I wear socks with mine! I just get those little ankle kinda socks!!! Get some Disney socks and rock them!!!

I totally wear socks with my crocs all the time - i buy the no-shows in white for lighter colors and black for the black ones.

One thing i've noticed - and maybe it's just me? - but for some reason i was getting holes in the heels of my socks all the time when wearing them with crocs, so i switched to enforced-heel small men's socks. No more holes...

the only time I wear socks with my crocs is in the car on the way home from work. I take my work boots off and drive home with my cros on. Besides that, it is no socks with my crocs, especially in the parks.

I've tried! I did a trial run wearing Crocs with no socks this past week when shopping. It was the first semi-warm day (~70's) that we've had here in Minnesota and my feet were getting sweaty and sticky. Also something about those little bumps on the inside of the Crocs just doesn't agree with my feet!

I wish I could wear the Croc flip flops, but can't. I do admit my feet are weird...I've had surgery and just have bum feet. I have the Beach Crocs and if I can get by the fashion police wearing socks I think I'll be OK>

Yea, I don't like the croc flip flops either. I don't think anyone will say anything to you....aside from funny looks, don't worry about it!!! Why don't you try the socks everyone is talking about? I have never seen any, so I don't know if they are easy to find

wear the socks, many of us do. and do not worry what ohers think, do what you like hon I wear the small anklet ones.

I completely agree with you! I HAVE to wear my Crocs with socks and am planning on doing so when I go in 3 weeks! I found some Gold Toe Cusioned Liners that have mesh tops that work great. They are about the same height as my no- show socks (although mine show with my crocs) and the mesh on the top makes them cooler and the cushioning on the bottom make them devine!

Don't worry about others will think. They are your feet and you have to deal with them for your vacation, so do what makes you feel comfortable. And if anyone with "cute" shoes looks at you weird, just smile and think to yourself, "Cute shoes...but how do YOUR feet feel?" Maybe I am just getting older... and wiser... but I really don't care about what other people think! Of course my husband made fun of me the other day and I almost started trying to figure out something else to wear but then I realized he should be looking at my beautiful eyes... not my feet!

Maybe it's a Minnesota thing. I wear socks with my Crocs all of the time (usually ankle highs).

I've worn my crocs with and without socks. When I go without socks at WDW, I spray my feet with a deodorant/anit-persperant & let them dry before putting on my crocs. That eliminates the hot, sticky, slidding around from sweaty feet.

I usually wear my Crocs without socks; however, with all the walking at WDW i decided to play it safe and wear socks. I chose the ankle ones, and I'm sure I looked like a dork, but my feet were really comfy.

I usually wear ankle socks with my crocs. I find them much more comfortable, and my feet squeak if I don't wear them.

Fashion Police at WDW If you saw the variety of shoes worn, including very High Heels, you would not think twice about socks with Crocs...sounds like the name of a Dr Suesse book....

Anyway I have been wearing my Crocs all winter so of course I have worn socks, have them on right now. I wear short no show socks when the weather is warmer colors that complement the color of my crocs or white.
My feet sweat like crazy in the Florida humidty and the little bumps sometimes irritate my feet. I have a pair of the Crocs cleo sandles and they don't bother me at all, so no socks with them.
There your feet, wear what ever it takes to make them comfortable and avoid blisters!

Cocs makes some cute little colorful socks meant to be worn with them. I like them.

i wear the short ankle socks with mine. My feet sweat and feel wierd otherwise. I honestly don't care how it looks, I am just there to have fun.
