For BF Magazines.com sent me a $5 Gift Card - only good today. I also got an e-mail from Mypoints saying that if I clicked thru I'd get 505 points if I bought a magazine. So I didn't really have anything I wanted as I had ordered 4 a couple of weeks ago as presents, but I went online just to see if there was another that might be of interest. For the heck of it I got Southern Living which was $5 for 12 issues. My cost after the my points free $5 GC was $0. Do you think I'll get the 500 points credited to my account since technically I didn't "buy" anything?

You should still get your points. Doesn't matter what kind of $$ you spend, cash, credit, paypal, gc, it's all still money and should count.
