For All You AKL Veterans - Question on rooms for 4 vs. 5 People

From the Disney reservation website, if I put in 5 people (2 adults, 3 kids ages 8,6, 2.5), the only available room is a deluxe bunk for $1700+, more than we want to spend.

If I put in 4 people (the resorts don't count a 2 year old, assuming they could go into a crib), then I get a rate of $1000+ standard view for the same time period.

Will the standard view room for $1000 accomodate the 5 of us?

Right now we are in a room at Coronado Springs (again for 4 plus the 2 year old). Will the AKL standard view room for 4 be any bigger than the Coronado room we currently have? The AKL room will be about $300 more for the same time period.

The rooms at coronodo springs have 2 double beds are are 314 sq ft. The regular savanah rooms at AKL are 340 sq ft and will either have two queens or a queen and a set of bunk beds. I don't believe you'll get much more "liveable" space at AKL, due to the larger beds and furniture, as well as a slightly larger bathroom area. In both places you'll need to put the 2 1/2 YO in a pack 'n play. In a deluxe room at AKL, you'll have a queen bed, set of bunks and a day bed, they are also 380 sq ft.

The issue for us is will AKL standard view room provide better sleeping accomodations for us over the standard room at Coronado.

Both rooms accomodate 4 plus a 2 year old.

Our 2 year old will actually be one month shy of 3, and hasn't slept in a crib for almost a year. So we will most likely be attempting to share the beds among us all (or floor!).

The queen beds in AKL would likely be a plus over the two twin beds at Coronado.

I'm wrestling with trying to decide if that is enough merit to spend the extra $400 or so for 5 nights total stay.
